Geek - how embarrassed am I? talk about teaching your Granny to suck eggs! so sorry. Does that mean though that you can solve my problem? I am trying to move my software to another computer without losing my past cycles, how can I move them?

Temp dropped by .3 this morning

5 DPO waiting is agonising but I am cross with myself because I always build mine and dh's hopes up into nothing

I am using this Tesco's thermometer that's crap. It seems to radically change temps every 15 minutes!

how is life with Ready and everyone?

Ready · 26/03/2007 11:40

Ok... I have to confess I have lost track of who is a Chart Spotter. I know that the temp buddies posted charts on the Charts Only Thread - but some of them don't come on this thread... I really don't want to miss anyone out - anyone know who is here, who is on both, and who is just there???

Cityangel - Great to see you over the coverline, WOO! How are you feeling?

MrsMc - I hope you are doing ok? I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be for you - I know nothing about m/c, is there a vast difference person to person of what happens with the cycle?

Mum03 - How are you feeling with the not temping? Is it chilling you right out? Or are you wondering what your temp was?

3cats - How's it going? Any movement in the 3cats household?

Everyone else - hope all is well.

cityangel · 25/03/2007 22:52

No the chart adjusts itself supposedly fortunately its at a less key part of the cycle than it could have been but we'll see

How's life with you?

mum03 · 25/03/2007 21:55

MrsMc - {{{hugs}}} rotten software being so negative, but let us hope the software has got it wrong and all your effort is not in vain.

Ready - looking good for halfway through your 2ww.

cityangel - did you adjust your chart for different wakeup time?

I am now in the wonderful 2ww, I am going to relax and chill out through it.

cityangel · 25/03/2007 21:46

MrsMC what a difficult time. Sometimes I hate the software because it can be a painful reminder of not being where we want to be. Sometimes the smallest change seems to shift the whole graph. However I think the benefits far outweigh not having the knowledge we've built up.

You're a strong bunny and I hope you and dh are doing ok? I really hope your cycle settles down.

MrsMcJnr · 25/03/2007 20:21

Evening ladies Seaside?s right Gracie, it?s a whole new education!

I?ve been for a chart spot:

Sunshinedays sorry about AF hon

Cityangel ? good to see you over your coverline I know what you mean about the clocks, my software is ignoring today and yesterday?s temps (slept in ) and instead told me ?You are in the post-ovulatory infertile phase of your cycle. While TCOYF is unable to identify ovulation and post-ovulatory infertility in this cycle using the data provided, based upon an analysis of your own cycle history, it is likely that you are now infertile. TCOYF will continue to monitor your fertility signs for indications that ovulation has occurred and will change this analysis, if required? Great! seems it doesn?t have a clue what is going on with me either. DH and I BDed this morning and software told me I was infertile but that today was the best day?!

What?s been happening with you Mum03?

Looking great Ready

You too Minxi

Finally over the cover line woohoo. Bloody clocks changing is a pain though!
how is everyone else.

I have started my monthly wasted online search of symptom spotting

seaside72 · 24/03/2007 12:12

HI Gracie- yes - you will not be able really to work out your LP until you have charted one complete cycle - or if you have kept a record of past cycle lengths and poss ov dates you could look at those for a guide. But generally your LP starts the day after you ov - so the day of your first temp rise is the first day of your LP.

I think it is not uncommon for women to have an anovulatory cycle (no ovulation at all) every now and again.

HTH

Gracie14 · 24/03/2007 11:35

Seaside - Thankyou very much. Without you girls on here I wouldn't have a clue about anything.

So as this is my first month using temps and OPK's I won't be able to work out my exact LP until after I have ovulated. I have just been assuming that my ovulation is around day 16 and if I am right (proberbly not) I guess my LP could be 14 days long.

So, is it common to not ovulate at all?

seaside72 · 24/03/2007 11:20

sorry - forgot to preview - hope you could understand my typos!!

seaside72 · 24/03/2007 11:19

Hi Gracie - not stupid at all - i s sucha massive learning curve on MN - sometimes pepole jke that we chould have an official qualification after all the information we have to learn - a diploma in TTC or something!!!

LP - Luteal Phase = second part of your menstrual cycle, after ovulation. The time between ovulation and mentruation. It is called luteal phase because the corpus luteum governs hormone production at this time.

So basically your LP length = the number of days from ov to af - ideally 14 (on a perfect 28 day cycle) but anything above 10 is good!

Gracie14 · 24/03/2007 11:09

Mum03 - I'm not sure what my LP is? I'm proberbly going to now make myself sound really stupid but how do you work the LP out?

seaside72 · 24/03/2007 11:09

IKWYM - onwards and upwards

MrsMcJnr · 24/03/2007 10:51

Thanks Seaside, in the end I actually felt ok doing it, I think I would have felt much worse if it was still showing positive if you know what I mean. In some ways, it's "closure" .

OP posts:
seaside72 · 24/03/2007 10:35

Hi MrsMcJnr- thinking about you this am doing your test - I can only imagine the bizarre feelings - sort of wanting it to be negative - very confusing - but sending you {{{{hugs}}}}

MrsMcJnr · 24/03/2007 10:22

Hi Cityangel ? stories like that do give me hope! certainly more hope than my temps do! I woke up at 8.15 (2 hours late) temp was 36.3 so 36.1 really so still under my coveline, I really don?t think I?ve OVd yet though, have to say. I did a test this morning and it was negative so though that was sad in itself, it was good to know that when I get a positive (and I will!!) it will be real and not a nasty hormone trick! You weren?t insensitive at all it?s all a matter of perspective ? the grass is always greener and all that jazz!

Going for a spot?..

OP posts:
cityangel · 23/03/2007 18:41

MrsMC She had a dnc so no just got pg v quickly again first try. Even though it had taken 2 years to get pg then m/c. So its possible.
Sorry about my insensitive 2ww complaint should have thought more

MrsMcJnr · 23/03/2007 16:18

Mum03 and what about today?! Sorry hon, it?s GroundHog day again, 35.8!

Cityangel ? I?d give anything at the mo to be in the 2ww, I?m knackered! I?ll have a look at your chart and check out your coverline. I know mine?s too high based on previous pre-ov temps, that said, these ones are defo pre ov temps Interesting story about your Mum, how did that happen?! Do you think you were a twin?

I know 3cats just impatient! Good luck for next week

OP posts:
cityangel · 23/03/2007 14:39

MrsMC my mum had a m/c at 3 months. She then desperately tried to lose the weight. That weight turned out to be me Fingers crossed your cycle kick starts itself.

3catstoo · 23/03/2007 13:43

Hi Ladies,

Still lots of waiting going on.

MrsMc, your cycle will probably take a while to settle anyway, but don't let it stop you trying.

AF has just about finished now after what felt like a long 8 days.
No more from DH but keep your fingers crossed that he is in the mood next weekend in time for Ov.

I will come back for a chart spot later. I need a cuppa and a rest (lazy whatsit!)

cityangel · 23/03/2007 10:59

AAAAAAAAAAAAArgh 2ww hate it

Feel better now thanks

My coverline is very suspect. At 08:20 I was 36.4 at 08:45 I was 36.6... really hoping for it to be higher.

mum03 · 22/03/2007 18:50

Gracie - your chart is looking good, good temps for the start of the 2ww, do you know what your lp length is?

Rattling - your chart overlays look good, looks like you are still waiting to ov.

3cats - how are you, has dh changed his mind again yet?

mum03 · 22/03/2007 18:36

MrsMc - just remember that you have less than 48 hours to boost up that temperature, I want that cream egg for you ov-ing today, today was just an ov dip!!! , it will happen soon anyway.

MrsMcJnr · 22/03/2007 15:09

Been for a chart spot:

Mum03 ? chart?s looking pretty, keep those temps up there!

Still looking fine Seaside Could we be looking at an implantation dip?

When do you expect to OV Rattling?

Minxi ? exciting times!

MrsMcJnr · 22/03/2007 14:29

Thanks Cityangel, that was really kind of you, I?ll look into those It is hard with RL pregnant people, I get it too. I have to admit, I?m avoiding a few (and a few are avoiding me! ) Met a girl in the lift who was complaining about her bump, it wasn?t her fault, she didn?t know about me and was just making conversation but it nearly made my cry and turn round and go home again.

Ready ? it is a total lottery hon. Sometimes I think it?s worth chucking out all the TTC toys and just making sure we get down to it 2-3 times/week but I think that would actually be more stressful. It sounds to me like you are doing your best and it will happen you know You?re allowed an off day, the process is emotional and exhausting!
