I had an elective cs with ds. Spinal was fine. Epidural scan slow things down and can lead to a slightly higher incidence of interventions but they defo have their place. I would advise an open mind and to see how things progress. X

I had an epidural last time.

I was induced at 38 weeks as I have diabetes and epilepsy. I was warned I would need pain relief as apparently early inductions are particularly hard going.

When it go to it, I really needed it. I had to have an episiotomy and forceps, but that was because DDs big head was stuck, I still managed to push with a light epidural. She just wouldn't move!

Recovery from episiotomy and forceps was very painful, wound for infected and I needed antibiotics, could sit down easily for weeks.

I'd like a vaginal birth again, but need to discuss with my obstetrician. I have some minor issues with rectocele but nothing that interferes with sex or with continence, and I'd like to keep it that way.

All worth it though... Just!

Good thing this is a TTC no 2 thread , if there was any trying for bby no 1 I think we may have changed their minds with the labour stories lol X

Hi. Still faint. Dunno if any shop near me sell frers, that will be open after I pick up DD :( so maybe no testing tomorrow. However since AF is due my cb monitor will let me test.

I had an epidural last time and it failed. I only took it because I was recommended due to baby nor coping. Everytime I got a contraction my bp shot up, which Keira didn't cope with. I had bp issues anyway. So i had a load of other medication. Until I went to theatre and they tried again for forceps delivery. I dunno if id do it again. Xx

DD was our first , so they will allow me to try again for a vaginal delivery this time and if we have a third it will have to b a c section X
Recovery is shit after c section , very painful X
Another reason y I want to have a normal birth because I can't just lie in bed with a newborn this time as I will have toddler to chase around on top of that ! Scary times !! X

Did your doc allow u to deliver v after a cs.im sorry hun.how long did it take u to recover after the cs? I get the chills when i think of it

I know where ur coming from , I was scared about paralysis first time so didn't go for it but ended up getting one for c section anyway and it was fine , really weird not being able to feel anything from the waist down tho haha X
I'm prepared for labour to be carnage again tho ( just got that feeling it's not going to be a smooth ride) I'm really small built and big babies run in the family ! X God forbid there's twins I'm there !! x

Mimi - I'm considering it this time , I had a traumatic time with DD , 27 hours of labour which ended in a c section , she was back to back and I had a pethadine injection which slowed labour , they upped my contractions at 6 cms ( agony) then her heartbeat dropped and she had to come out X
Really want to try for a natural birth so was thinking just a epidural this time , although downside is they usually nd to intervene ( il just push like f**k!!!) lol

Good luck Kellz hope it's a clear bfp today 🙏. Well cd19 & 11th flashing smiley. Giving it up as a bad job (although still gonna use last three sticks ) Have DTD eod without fail since cd5 so will just have to hope that's enough and come what may. X

I'm sure u will have a darker line tomorrow those tests u posted had better lines than what I had after my indent ones ! X

Will do, did a cheapie tonight but it was a bfn, however i had only peed about 3/4 hr before it lol. Going to do the other early indicator in the morning. Its my last one so may need to buy a frer tomorrow lol xx
