Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

TTC #2 here too and have been since March/April but this is my first cycle using progesterone pessaries because of luteal phase defect. I'm 4 days into my tww!

I'm driving myself crazy. Going by how my cycles were before the implant and the fact that I had a proper period that started 12 days ago, I should ovulate on Friday. I'm using opks in the hope that I can track. But, the spotting that started after dh and I fooled around has thrown me. I can't decide if I'm cd 12 or cd 2. its definitely not heavy like af but it is enough to wear a panty liner. I can't talk to anyone about it in rl because we need to keep it secret. I'm frustrated and sending myself loopy!

I'm feeling hopeful today as had a bit of a dizzy spell at work, the only other time I've had that when sober was when pregnant with ds. Trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Fingerscrossedgirl that is about the only thing I can remember! I couldn't stay in the same room as dh for more than 20 minutes, had to keep popping somewhere different to fart!!

Loki17 you sound as preoccupied as I was a couple of days ago, somehow I've calmed down a bit today and haven't been thinking about it quite as much (although still quite a lot!) hope all returns to normal quickly and you can crack on.

Lottegraham you're son sounds like the cutest big brother ever! How lovely.

Hi me and my fiancé are about to start trying, i have just come off the pill and im very excited to start the adventure again :)
just asked my son if we should have a baby in the house and he said "yes, i hold his hand mummy" (hes only 2) so i think thats his approval hehe
roll on october when i can take a pregnancy test, i dont think i could last that long so going to stock up on pregnancy tests this weekend

Congrats on your bfp, fingerscrossedgirl! I'm desperately hoping my cycles return to normal quickly. I convinced myself that the period from hell that I had just before the implant was removed signalled the return of my fertility as the implant had ran out. However, DH and I got jiggy last night and I'm spotting again today so I'm not sure my period will fall back into the 28 day cycle that I always had before. I'm driving myself crazy already. I'm hoping I get a positive opk on Saturday because that will mean I've ov'd as expected. I can wait for my period then ttc next month. Why can't I stop thinking about it?!

DH & I also trying for DC2 although he wants to be relaxed about it i don't and have gone and got OPK's and PTs today but will hide them!

AF is due on the 1st and although i have spent the last 2 days thinking i was pregnant i now don't think i am as took my temp this morn and was 35 something.

1st cycle since having DD so would be very lucky if i was!

Yay! Congratulations fingerscrossedgirl, I'm thrilled for you! What lovely news!Smile Hopefully that's the first of many BFPs in this group. Keep in touch to let us all know how you're getting on, would be good to support each other through the journeys we are all embarking on and I'd love to hear how things go for you.

Hello lemonslemonslemons, sounds like we will be testing at around the same time if AF holds off, let's hope it's a lucky day for BFPs!!!

Hi! So nice to find people in the same boat :)

DH and I are TTC DC2. DD1 is just 3 and some friends told us they are TTC DC2 and it made us realise how the timing couldn't be better for DC2! No point in waiting any longer :)

AF is due on the 4th Oct and this is only month 1 (we literally decided to start trying on Saturday!) so I am trying not to get my hopes up.

DH has already got me having nutribullets every morning packed with kale and spinach. Yum. Not! At least he cares!!!

Well, after a night of dreaming about peeing and sticks, I woke up and peed on a stick: BFP!! Two Tesco's tests to be sure but the line came up immediately both times; mission accomplished! Yay/argh all at once! Guess I'll be digging out the community midwife's number soon...

Hello Jw35, of course you can join. I was planning on holding out until AF is overdue until testing, which I did last time when I was nowhere near as preoccupied with ttc. When is the earliest that a test will work? Will your eldest be helpful with you having two little ones?

Can I join? I'm actually ttc no 3 but there's an 11 year age gap between my 2 so this will be a playmate for my 9 month old!

I'm 11dpo and going crazy with the tww! Loads of symptoms but not sure what to think as I stupidly tested yesterday and got a bfn

Not yet anyway! Fingers VERY crossed. Though I feel like I have a cold so I'd love a Lemsip but don't quite dare just in case... We got lucky on the second month last time so also hoping it won't be too bad - but I'm five years older now, so I don't want to be too optimistic (OH thinks he's got super-powers after last time, lol).

Hello those who have joined since yesterday, welcome. The more the merrier Smile

Pommebear dh and I were first monthers last time when ttc ds. I worry it won't be as easy this time around and I think that is why I'm overthinking it now in my tww. Oh well, what will be will be, it's lots of fun trying at the moment at least!!

Mum19821985 I am also scared of running around after 2, although it's the sleepless baby nights coupled with relentless toddler days that really terrify me!! We've always wanted to have another, I would have started trying a few months ago, ds is 19 months now. We postponed though as we had a holiday coming up so decided to wait until after in case of anything going wrong or if I was unwell with the first trimester if I'd caught. My age gap will be rubbish to start with as ds will be a fully fledged nuisance in his terrible twos!!! I'll just hope they play nicely as they grow up.

My DC is 4.5 - we'll have a big gap but various career things put us off trying again too soon. Running around after 2 does sound scary! But at least with a 4/5 year old they'll understand and help out a lot. Mine is dying for a sibling....

Hi, also TTC #2 here. I have a 2.5 year old DD, always wanted another one but DP has taken a bit of time to come round. We started TTC last month and I was convinced we had hit on lucky as had loads of symptoms but AF turned up on Saturday.

DD1 was conceived first time trying and I'm naively hoping it will be as easy 2nd time round!

Me! Implant was removed yesterday. although it had expired and my period came back a week ago. I didn't have periods whilst on the implant so I'm hoping it's return is a good sign. I'm tracking my cycle from now until my next AF (hopefully 10th october) and then ttc. I drove myself crazy when ttc dd. I know I'll do it again. I'm keeping myself busy with opks and conception supplements. Good luck everyone x
