Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

I'm getting so fed up. Feel like af is coming but I'm only getting spotting. No way I could be pregnant as I had am epic af 2 weeks ago and we haven't dtd since (af filled by spotting is not sexy!). Implant out last Saturday. No ovulation according to opk. The only answer is to wait and see but it's driving me mad. Nothing highlights the fact that I am a complete control freak like ttc! I didn't think I'd be like this 2nd time around. I had a brilliant pregnancy and labour with dd but a nightmare first 6 months because she had colic. I found mat leave so hard because I missed my job. Then when I went back to work I spent two years feeling so guilty. A few months ago I felt like I'd be quite happy with one. Life is so easy and she is an absolute dream most of the time. Then she started school 3 weeks ago and wham! I am suddenly so desperate for another baby! I know what is coming this time and still I'd cut off my right arm for a bfp! I'm really grateful for this thread. I can't talk to anyone in rl so this thread is helping me to contain my crazy. dh is so supportive but keeps saying annoying things like 'it will happen'. I'd like to think he doesn't get it, but in reality he is rational and I'm loopy. Grin

Hello simplydivine05, your ds sounds excited, how cute! Good luck with ttc.

I must confess I POAS yesterday, it was a BFN and now I'm annoyed because I don't know if it is a negative or if I just tested too soon. I still had one left from a twin pack I had, the other one of which confirmed pregnancy with ds. Anyway, I noticed it expired Sep 2015 so thought I may as well use it. I'll wait until my tww is over now until I test again, that way I'll be able to believe the result!

Enjoy shagging harder Jellybelly26!

Congratulations Jw!

Don't think we have caught it this month. Must shag harder!!

Jw35 · 26/09/2015 23:57

Sorry not sure why the question marks came up!

Jw35 · 26/09/2015 23:51

Thanks everyone ??

simplydivine05 · 26/09/2015 17:33

Forgot to add:

fancyferret - I poas the other day before ov too so you're not the only one being silly! I also felt queasy for a few days. Good job I've got loads of them!

simplydivine05 · 26/09/2015 17:31

Hi everyone, I saw the words "lucky thread" and thought I must join immediately! We're ttc #2. I'm 1-2dpo today, will test around 9th Oct if I can hold out that long! This is cycle #3. Ds was unplanned and from a previous relationship so this is totally new to us. He's just as desperate for a baby as me and keeps asking when we're having one. Discussing it with him obviously opened up a can of worms with the questioning about where babies come from!

fancyferret · 26/09/2015 08:49

fingerscrossedgirl Congratulations!! Cycle one as well that must have been a lovely surprise. Great to hear success stories

mum19821985 wow very similar situation have you been trying for long or just starting out?

Tinktink I hope you get some idea soon of what is happening with your cycle after coming off cerazette either that or a BFP!

Confession of the day - I POAS and only on CD12 so haven't even Ov'd yet. I know is wrong and I won't do it again honest - its just I felt a bit queasy the last few mornings Grin normally I am quite rational oh well..

mum19821985 · 25/09/2015 22:28

Hi fancyferret, I am in exactly the same situation. I am also 35, my DS is 3.5 and I have dithered for years about whether or not to have another. I also had a traumatic birth which put me off having another. Hoping it'll be different next time round!

fingerscrossedgirl · 25/09/2015 21:23

Hurray JW! great news!

Fancyferret, I'm also 35 and my DC is 4.5; I had a decent pregnancy the first time but the birth freaked me out no end (nothing went wrong, really, it just hurt like absolute f*ck, even with the diamorphine, and it went on for a long long time) and so I've also been really wary of going through it again. But - 35 be damned! - got the BFP on cycle one earlier this week. It might happen for you too!

Tinktink79 · 25/09/2015 19:13

Congrats on the BFP's that have already arrived, like fancyferret says hopefully this thread is lucky! I stopped taking my cerazette pill 3 weeks ago, so far no withdrawal bleed, no AF so thinking that things might take longer than I hoped to settle down to 'normal'. I did POAS last week just incase... But no... Not this time... Kicking myself now that we should have made this decision earlier but similar to others on this thread, it took me a while to come around to the idea of another child and it took my husband even longer!!

Loki17 · 25/09/2015 17:54

Hopefully! until then I'm just going to be a crazy person. At least I have you all Grin

jp0303 · 25/09/2015 17:40

Wonderful news Jw35, congratulations! Love hearing about the BFPs.

We do seem to be a lucky thread fancyferret! Welcome on board. You will have a great helping hand from your dc1, that's the bonus of waiting.

Oh Loki17, it does sound confusing. Bloody hormones. Hopefully all will settle down soon and you will know where you are.

Congratulations Jw! Fantastic news! Well I think af might be visiting. I'm not sure what is going on. My implant was due to expire on September. I had hardly any af whilst on the implant than two weeks ago I had my first proper af in three years. The implant was removed last Saturday as af finished. I should be ovulating today according to my pre - implant cycle dates but instead I think I'm getting af. I'd intended to wait for af due on the 10th oct then ttc but if this is it I'm not going to wait another month! I really hope it is af to be honest. Hurry up and get the witch over and done with!

fancyferret · 25/09/2015 16:07

Hello can I join the thread too please - seems lucky - Congrats JW. I have a 3.5yr old DS and have dithered for ages about whether we should try for a sibling for him. I had a slightly difficult birth and was a bit scared of getting pregnant again.

Now I feel ready to try again but am cross with myself for leaving it so long (can't win!!) I am 35 and in first cycle so not expecting too much but keeping fingers crossed and have ordered a job lot of tests as I know I will be testing willy nilly as very impatient....

PommeBear · 25/09/2015 14:34

Fantastic JW, congratulations !!

mrsmugoo · 25/09/2015 14:01

Congrats Jw!

Jw35 · 25/09/2015 13:53

JellyBaby26 · 25/09/2015 12:03

how early can you test with a first response? Hmm

lemonslemonslemons · 25/09/2015 10:51

Loki I am the same.

jp0303 I am the same.

Hah! I JUST WANT TO BE PREGNANT SO BADLY!

Ok, mustn't obsess.

jp0303 · 24/09/2015 20:19

Haha Loki17! I know the feeling!

I am swinging from feeling like I am pregnant and then deciding I am not. I am wishing the time away until the end of the ttw so I can test. Mum19821985, did you test today? Any joy?

What a difference Mrsmugoo. I'm glad you've got the pessaries to help out, hopefully they will make the difference for you.

Still plodding on through the boring old 2ww! 5 down, 9 to go!

Loki17 · 24/09/2015 20:06

How is everyone today? Still no sign of ovulation, but I feel a bit calmer today. Not feeling the urge to scream 'I want another baby!!' at everyone who asks how I am!

mrsmugoo · 24/09/2015 07:36

Nope, baby #1 was a happy accident! A drunken wedding anniversary!

jp0303 · 23/09/2015 20:59

Hello mrsmugoo, glad to have you join us Smile hope the pessaries work out for you, did you use them first time around too or is this a new thing for you ttc #2?
