Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Gx91 I'm keeping my hopes up for you, until AF arrives there is every chance that what you are describing could be early pregnancy. I am always optimistic so would be very hopeful if she's late. Good luck.

Also - 16 days late! You must have been going insane! I'm at 2 days and they've been the longest I've had for a while!

How annoying that one of the rare times I'm late is when I'm ttc

HoggleHoggle · 04/10/2015 21:49

Thanks latium! Although unfortunately I think I'm joining jp as pretty sure AF is on the way. In a weird way I am just relieved to stop second guessing every single thing. I realise now how lucky we were last time to get pg first time.

The sickness has been very strange though. Maybe a low level bug with unfortunate timing?

As for my pg looking stomach...I clearly need to look again at my eating habits. I honestly have a few week pg bump going on Blush

Latium123 · 04/10/2015 21:13

Ah sorry to hear that JP. It is so upsetting when it shows up especially when you've been having symptoms. We try not to get our hopes up but it's hard not to when your body is making you think you are PG. Fingers crossed for Hoggle. I was a full 16 days late with my AF when I got my BFP with DD. Talk about driving yourself insane with symptom spotting and repeated POAS!! That shows there is hope until AF shows up. I'm not looking forward to a similar length of wait if / when we fall PG this time round. No sign of AF for me yet (was due yesterday). I am feeling nauseous but I had that last time before AF showed up and I think it is because of still BFing.

Thanks everyone Smile I am currently Wine in front of the TV waiting for the rugby. I've had a lovely day with ds and dh, as well as a bit of retail therapy and lunch with a friend, so feeling good and blessed. Cheers to next month!

Sorry to hear that jp. I have a glass or two of wine when af comes and treat it like my last for a long time! Not been drinking otherwise so it's kind of a treat. Here's to next cycle!

fancyferret · 03/10/2015 16:51

Sorry jp Sad- chocolate is definitely the answer! Onwards and upwards

Loki17 · 03/10/2015 14:34

Sorry jp. I feel your pain though, I'm gutted too.

HoggleHoggle · 03/10/2015 14:20

Sorry jp, that's disappointing. I'm sure I'll be posting a similar update soon though Wink

I know what you mean about the nausea. It's very cruel the way we trick ourselves without even realising. I've been googling 'lower stomach pain early pregnancy' this afternoon. Ludicrous behaviour!

I'm sending you a chocolate 'cheers' in any case, happy munching.

jp0303 · 03/10/2015 14:04

AF has arrived! I'm so annoyed. More so with having been fooled by my body into believing I could have been pregnant, what's all that nausea been about then? So confusing. I'm not getting too upset about not having caught just yet as only just started trying, and I'd prepared myself that it might take longer this time. Would have been sooo happy though if I was! Oh who am I kidding, I'm gutted!

Hopefully you will have a Jelly like experience Hoggle and maybe get a positive tomorrow.

I've already eaten about a baby's weight in chocolate today so will probably look pregnant by the end of the week.

Loki your situation sounds really confusing. Hope you're ok and not driving yourself mad. Our bodies are too complicated!

jp and hoggle as AF has not arrived yet there is still a chance of getting a BFP especially with those symptoms. The wait is so hard isn't it. I am not due to test until around the 14th/15th but not holding much hope for this month has DH has been away a lot on night or weekend shifts.

HoggleHoggle · 03/10/2015 11:23

I do keep thinking of you jelly! Although also telling myself not to get hopes up.

My lower stomach is tender and is protruding a lot down towards the pelvis...all this happened at this point when I was pg with ds. But that many tests can't be wrong, surely?!

JellyBaby26 · 03/10/2015 09:16

I only got my bfp when I was 2 days late so there is hope for you yet!

Loki17 · 03/10/2015 08:46

I'm only 4/5dpo and I've started spotting Sad. My stupid cycles are such a mess. If I got my positive opk Tuesday then I start counting dpo from Wednesday don't I? in which case, at 4 dpo it is far to early for implantation. In any case, if this turns into a full af I'm completely out. I'm so sad.

beckslovestimmy · 03/10/2015 08:39

Sorry to hear that jp and Hoggle. Here's wishing you the best of luck for next cycle. It's so frustrating isn't it!

HoggleHoggle · 03/10/2015 08:15

Also BFN for me too SadAngry

I have resigned myself for this month and just wish AF would hurry the fuck up.

jp0303 · 03/10/2015 08:11

I POAS this morning…BFN Sad I am so confused as have been feeling nauseous, had sore boobs for ages, have had a couple of dizzy spells, which are all unusual for me. On the look out for AF now and have resigned myself to needing to try again next month. Oh well. Shame to break the lucky streak!

Any other results from this weekend?

Hi Latium welcome to the thread.

Latium123 · 02/10/2015 21:13

May I join you ladies? I am TTC #2. DD has just turned a year old and I am still BFing her. AF just returned one month ago. Current AF is due tomorrow so have just been in the TWW. Hard to tell symptom-wise as I have been experiencing quite bad nausea on and off on return of AF (I assume because I am still BFing and the hormones are going crazy) but the GP wasn't sure that would be the cause. Anyhoo, just wanted to say hello, massive congratulations to the BFPs so far. I love seeing the second line appearing, lovely pics. Good luck to everyone else.

fancyferret · 02/10/2015 19:18

Congratulations mrsmugamoo and Jelly wow loads of BFPs! Fingers crossed for everyone due to test soon.

Loki17 · 02/10/2015 16:05

Congrats, Jelly!

beckslovestimmy · 02/10/2015 13:51

It's so frustrating that pregnancy symptoms are so similar to pre period symptoms. It's hard to to go crazy with it all!
