Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Morning ladies. Cycle day 22 for me (usual 26 day cycle) I've had some spotting this morning. I've now been googling implantation bleeding. I didn't have that with my last pregnancy. I think I'm getting my hopes up as I've got slight craps and feel like AF is on her way. Sad

Gx91 · 10/10/2015 08:46

That's a great attitude , actually made me feel ok about AF if mine arrives ! Smile your totally right the stress of waiting totally effects your mood everyday ! All the best to you in the coming monthsGrin xxg

I'm avoiding. I think that poas was what made me so obsessed this month. Looking back, I've been so grumpy and moody. First when I couldn't get a positive on an opk, then the 2ww, which is always frustrating and it dragged on and on. Ive never felt quite so down and ive let everything else slip. Im going to be better this month. I'm going to avoid obsessing and distract myself and staying away from tests of all kind. The month we conceived dd, DH and I laughed (and bd'd!) a lot and I felt relaxed and happy. That has to be right, surely? I've consoled myself with the realisation that if we were to fall next month, my edd would be at the very beginning of pils 2 week holiday - this would be a massive bonus! MIL can be a bit intrusive so knowing we might have a few days to ourselves is heavenly. If we don't and fall the month after, then I could put my first day of mat leave as my due date and get paid for the whole summer holidays (I'm a teacher) which would be amazing because I'd get time off before the baby arrived but wouldn't lose out financially. So, I'm focusing on the silver linings. Good luck to everyone testing. Wishing lots more bfps to all. Flowers

Really sorry Loki

Bad luck Loki, glad you're feeling ok. So hard not to obsess on this but think it's a good attitude to take.

I'm torn between starting OPKs next month or just chilling out, opening legs and crossing fingers.

Thanks. I'll be ok. Going to try and relax next cycle. No opks, no early testing. Just going to dtd and avoid obsessing!

Gx91 · 09/10/2015 21:20

Oh no Loki Sad hope r not too disappointed X I know it's hard hearing it but all the best for next month - try and enjoy ur weekend maybe u n hubby shud get a night out and treat urself (( hugs)) xxg

Loki17 · 09/10/2015 20:14

I'm out. The witch got me. Gutted :(

Gx91 · 09/10/2015 18:55

That's probably the right way to go about it ferret just chilling and not expecting anything , it's probably the stress that holds off a period for some , I'm still getting BFN 4/5 days late now !
Spoke to my doctor today and got given a test to try next Friday hopefully get a result one way or another , I love red wine so sure I will finally enjoy one if AF shows! Love to all enjoy ur Friday xxg

HoggleHoggle · 09/10/2015 10:57

Winefor you too ferret, though I hope you're wrong of course!

fancyferret · 09/10/2015 09:04

Congratulations Latium - lovely pink test too, looks pretty - mine are cheapo blue strips!!

Sorry Hoggle I am joining you with the wine as I have horrible back ache and PMT. AF due in a few days and I have even given up symptom spotting. When I was pregnant with DS I had no PMT symtoms whatsoever. It was absolutely brilliant not having miserable PMT or painful AF for a whole 9months!!

HoggleHoggle · 09/10/2015 06:44

Thank you all! Am ok thanks although woken up by hideous period pains at 1.30 then ds up for the day at 5.30...grrrr.

I agree OPKs is the way to go given the weird cycles.

Not sure whether next month will be our month...I may well be staying at my mum's when I'm ovulating (escaping bathroom refit) and as much as I'd like a baby, I'm drawing the line at quiet fumbles in my childhood bedroom Confused

Will be interesting to see what the OPKs say about ovulation. I'm guessing I ovulated much later than I thought this month.

Definite Winetonight!

Gx91 · 08/10/2015 22:30

Sorry to hear AF arrived hoggle , but on the bright side u can relax for a bit before u wana try again ! I would b reaching for the wine Wine and chill time ! All the best for next month Smile xx

jp0303 · 08/10/2015 22:26

Unlucky Hoggle, it's disappointing isn't it, hope you're ok Wine and chocolate for you. I think that you & I might benefit from OPKs, my recent cycles have been 28 - 35 days, very confusing.

beckslovestimmy · 08/10/2015 21:53

Ahh rubbish news Hoggle . Not sure what it means for your cycle. I used to have alternating short/long cycles. In the end (and now) we just try to DTD every other day from the end of one period to the start of the other. Fingers crossed for your next cycle .

Latium123 · 08/10/2015 21:34

Sorry to hear that Hoggle, that's a shame.

Have you tried monitoring fertility signs to help with identifying when you ovulate? I find cervical mucus the most reliable way of telling when I ovulate.

Onwards and upwards. Good luck for next month and as somebody upthread suggested you could perhaps treat yourself to a lovely glass of wine now that AF has arrived. Wine

JellyBaby26 · 08/10/2015 21:29

I would order some OPKS Hoggle, that way you can be sure x

HoggleHoggle · 08/10/2015 21:07

AF has finally turned up, a week late. Disappointed but also relieved I have an answer!

Confused about what this means for next month though - usually have a 28 day (or v occasionally a 30 day) cycle...this month it was 35 so will I ovulate later next month or should I assume this long cycle was just a blip? Also I guess next month I can't assume late = pg, maybe my cycles are getting longer?

jp0303 · 07/10/2015 20:38

YES Latium123! Congratulations!
