Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Hello all!

Crossing fingers for you shorty, if you get a non-show on the 25th that will be a perfect Christmas present.

I am full of the Christmas grinches and need to snap out of it. A friend announced pregnancy last night. Am very, very happy for her but now slightly dreading a get together we have planned in a couple of weeks. It'll be me, two pregnant women and another with a newborn. Bah humbug! I have just bought myself a new dress up cheer myself up though!

Becks not sure if you're still reading but hope all went well with your scan which I think was coming up.

Any other scans planned soon? Not long until yours G!

Shortybabe · 16/12/2015 15:30

I do shift work so couldn't monitor temp accurately. Got my 13th flashing smiley. I'd stop but the sticks expire this month so will only be wasted. Half tempted to get hubby to pee on the last one and see if it fecking flashes. You'd have thought it'd just be back to empty circle now?
Anyway af due Xmas day so just a case of waiting to see now. X

FuzzyOwl · 16/12/2015 14:05

Hope taking your bbt helps Kellz.

Kellz92 · 16/12/2015 13:42

Gx91 · 15/12/2015 19:08

Kellz - have u tested again since ur faint lines ? Still have fx for u , that would b really cruel if it was Evan line I thought it looked legit Sad

Hoggle how r u doing ? X

Mimi hope uv had a good day ? We have been really busy playing at a friends house who also has a toddler , very funny watching fight over toys , both are learning to share badly ! I'm exhausted now so we r watching finding nemo , DD loves Bruce the shark ! X

Peyia ring of fire makes me laugh every time !! I have been googling labour and have freaked myself out a bit need to stop it lol has to come out one way or another ! Haha xx

Peyia · 15/12/2015 17:57

Awww sorry to hear that Kellz I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you though!

Gx you don't have to go straight in when your waters break - unless your contractions are of course really close together which indicate imminent ring of fire 😅

Kellz92 · 15/12/2015 12:19

I'm thinking on trying temping. My dd is very good and likes to sleep in so I should be ok. Don't think ill use opks just my clear blue advanced fertility monitor.

I was induced at 39 weeks due to high bp.

peyia thanks hun. Had two days of faint second lines. However they must have been evaps as I'm positive af is away to show.

gx I had my waters broken for me. My hubby burst out with - I could have did that last week with your crochet hooks- the mw was in stitches lol.

Xxx

Mimilicious013 · 15/12/2015 12:15

Kellz what's today's news?

Mimilicious013 · 15/12/2015 12:05

Morning gx.am enjoying chilling at home kkk. My waters broke and i went in after bathing and having my tea .i too want to relax and use the hypno method that peyia used.(if i get my bfp kkk).i think being at home is more relaxing.also moving around helps quicken things.am just hoping we all have it easy

Gx91 · 15/12/2015 09:04

That's meant to say " do u have to go in if ur waters break" Duno wat happened there ! Lol X

Gx91 · 15/12/2015 09:03

Peyia lol was totally killing myself at ur "ring of fire " lol sounds like u did very well ! I'm going to try and stay home as long as possible this time and chill in the bath ( hospital is like 5 mins up the road )
I do panick easily though and will probably worry about babies heartbeat etc
Does any one know do u have to do it it ou waters break ?
Mine. Did the first time and they told me to go in ? x
The ants - will probs b less stressful not using OPKs , especially over Christmas , just going with the flow sounds good , b lovely if u got a lovely surprise BFP soon X
An elective c section does sound so much easier and would b nice to have the date for baby arriving , a bit concerned it's gona hurt even more second time !
Who nose what will happen nearer the time , I'm pretty anxious about childbirth this time as last time was long and hard going ! X

How is everyone this morning ? Grin xx

Shortybabe · 14/12/2015 19:50

TheAnts OPKs have driven me mad this month. Don't think I'll be using next month. Good luck and plenty dtd.
Gx I'm going to opt for al elective cs next time. Mine was very straight forward. It was painful there's no denying but nothing too horrendous. Although my friend has just had her second elective cs and found it much more painful second time around. X

Peyia · 14/12/2015 18:12

Hey ladies,

Went away for a long weekend as a birthday treat and just catching up.

So sorry Hoggle, I'm actually sad for you. So unfair and wishing you luck for next time Flowers

Kellz, this is sooooo exciting! Like G said, I got an indent. Have no clue if it's linked to a near positive but strange G and I both got it. Fingers crossed for you!!

Congrats Tattie, amazing!! Flowers

Jp, so sweet. Thanks for inviting me to moan. I literally have no where else to do it and didn't want to bring the vibe down!!! So recent preggo symptom was severe constipation last week Blush. I was on the loo and I can tell you I looked like a scene from Alien. The unfortunate thing is that it triggered my fissure, I got this after give birth last time. So friggin painful!!!! I'm managing the constipation with apricots now.

G, how was your appointment? Mine is next Monday. Haven't got a scan date yet.

mimi sorry I missed your update!! Glad to see you are still as positive as ever!

Quick birth story! Used hypno birthing - it basically helped me focus and breathe through the pain whilst counting in my head. Waters went at midnight. By the time I got to the hospital at 8:50 I thought stuff this 'mumbo jumbo earth mother' crap and give me the drugs but I was fully dilated. Baby was born an hour later. So whilst hypno birthing didn't stop the pain (which I naively thought it would) I think it did work to keep me calm - until I clearly was at the manic stage of thinking can I just go home and baby stay there forever! I had always been scared of the 'ring of fire' but actually that was the part I felt most relieved!!!

xxx

Gx91 · 14/12/2015 17:42

Mimi -Ahhhh helpful hint there with washing with betadine Smile I don't mind the pain as long as I know baby is on its way out X well done u !
Fx u have a nice quick one next time too Smile xx

Mimilicious013 · 14/12/2015 16:22

With dd i was booked for an induction due to high bp at 38 weeks .was so scared spent hours walking round the neighbourhood and going up and down my front door steps(like a mad woman) .my waters broke early morning and labour began .had the baby abt 4hrs later before the nurse could administer and painstop .it was painful but shockingly fast though i had tears when i pushed by force.but washing with betadine helped the stitches heal faster.

Mimilicious013 · 14/12/2015 16:04

Sorry u feeling down theants, just remember u will soon be sharing your good news.i dnt use opks just dtd eod but taking a laid back approach this month.

Gx91 · 14/12/2015 16:00

Gx91 · 14/12/2015 15:59

Hey the ants - I wouldn't say OPKs r a must buy they def helped me get pregnant , I couldn't temp either for the sm reason ! lol I also got obsessed X I would say checking cm is a good indicator aswell
Positive opk plus ewcm I would say very good chance ul get ur BFP Smile I was taking multivitamins and folic acid and was trying to lose Wight so was exercising daily , Duno if that helped or not ...
Wishing u luck anyways , exciting times xx

theAntsareMyFriends · 14/12/2015 15:37

Definitely hoping this forum will bring me luck!

Found out on Sunday a friend is expecting. Really pleased for her but also felt a little sad. Selfish I know but I made sure she didn't know how I was feeling as I don't want to spoil her happiness.

Did everyone here use OPKs. I got the cheap sticks but found that when I used them I got really obsessed with them so stopped. I'm thinking I should try them again as I'm still not sure exactly when I O. If you used them, would you say they are a must? Did they become a bit of an obsession?

I haven't done temping as I'm woken up by an enthusiastic toddler and lying still is never a possibility.

Is there anything else I could try to find out?
