Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Lol figgy I know what u mean tho , peeing on a stick has been just a normal part of life lately it would seem , my Bf looks at me like a weirdo when he comes in the room n I'm holding a pissy stick waiting for a line lol
I ran through with my positive OPK on Saturday n he was like " that's got pee on it , don't hold it so close ! " Grin X
Was glad I used them this cycle tho , let us know how the temping goes I don't know whether to bother as I'm still up sometimes thru the night with DD so don't know if I would b up at the sm time every morning to temp xx

Loki17 · 02/11/2015 20:44

So I couldn't resist testing this evening and I got this: I'm pretty sure it's an evaporation line. I'm 10 dpo. I'll test again in the morning but how the heck am I supposed to sleep now?!

Figgygal · 02/11/2015 19:53

I've banned pregnancy tests from the house now as was testing monthly driving myself mad so until I am on day 30+ I will not test!!! Oh no I won't.......at least until next time I run late Grin

I have had a 24/25 day cycle the last few months so I'm told I should start doing opks today onwards so the indignity of daily weeing on sticks has begun. Starting temp measuring today too.

I'm impressed how in tune with your bodies some of you are I'm hopeless I notice nothing!!

Gx91 · 02/11/2015 18:18

Oh it's such a hard time ! Hopefully your the stress isn't causing symptoms and u are actually pregnant can't wait to see another BFP on here it really lifts spirits!! Smile my cycles have been pretty long since I came of birth control last one was 38 days ! That's y I bought OPKs this month so I could pin point ovulation which was cd19 X
Il probs start POAS 10dpo bcoz I get so impatient ! Probs I'm for giving myself the BFN disappointment bcoz you do end up in denial ! Looking forward to finding out tho xx

Loki17 · 02/11/2015 17:52

I can't decide if I've had symptoms or I'm just imagining them. I imagined nausea and sensitive smell last month! My boobs are sore but that could be from the post ov progesterone surge or impending af. I've got a headache but I have been wearing my glasses which I don't normally so could be that. I've had a touch of nausea but not much. I think the nausea and food aversions are my imagination because I'm so desperate to be pregnant. Having some mild cramps tonight so I'm pretty sure af will show up at some point. Hope it isn't early because then ill panic about my cycles which will make everything even more stressful!

HoggleHoggle · 02/11/2015 17:41

If I'm on a shorter cycle then I can test from weds...not sure if I will though. I drove myself mad last month thinking AF was late but having BFNs...if poss I will try to leave it to the weekend at least otherwise if I get a negative this week there will always be a bit of me deep down which thinks it might be false.

Gx91 · 02/11/2015 17:29

Woohoo that's exciting wish I cud jump time and be in your shoes Smile how u feeling have u had any symptoms that have stuck out ? Xx

Loki17 · 02/11/2015 16:30

I'm 10 dpo. 4 days until I know either way.

HoggleHoggle · 31/10/2015 15:24

Sorry jp though pleased you're positive about it. If nothing else, Halloween AND AF is the best excuse to munch a massive bag of chocolate I've ever heard Wink

Gx91 · 31/10/2015 14:40

Glad ur not too disappointed about AF showing up jp! I know eh being Halloween and all that lol X here's to a knew cycle Wine Grin fx this is it month!!
I'm going to try not to symptom spot this time round and just let nature run its course !
My bf says he's finding it hard to dtd on demand so I'm going to nd to lay off him a bit haha xx

jp0303 · 31/10/2015 13:17

Go for it Gx, sounds like a fun day ahead for you!

AF arrived this morning - very apt that the witch is here for Halloween! I'm not disappointed as I had no indication or symptoms this month, I was sure it wasn't my month from the get go. Feeling positive about a new start now though for when AF has buggered off. I'm cd1 now, so going to have a look at those apps and see how I get on with them.

Thanks Hoggle, dh is taking on the night shift tonight, so I'll hopefully get more sleep. Although in all likelihood he will bring ds through to sleep in our bed if he wakes up, meaning I will be fighting for duvet and fending off digs from sharp little elbows.

Depending on my cycle length this month AF could be due at any point over the next week. I am not going to POAS until at least Tuesday, but I expect that AF will make an appearance before then.

I'm glad you're feeling more relaxed this month, it can be so draining when it's all consuming. I've felt better for not being so intensely focused on it this month too.

Good luck Gx, hopefully timing will work out despite your bf working away next week.

I'm on cd 7 so 7 days away from testing too. Although, I'll probably test early because all of the ic tests ho out of date soon so I need to use them up. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

HoggleHoggle · 30/10/2015 13:15

And - hope you get more sleep soon!

HoggleHoggle · 30/10/2015 13:15

I'm a week away at the earliest jp but will keep you posted! What about you?

Panicking that I felt some 'eggy twinges' last night which wouldn't be a good sign given lack of sex this week, although to be fair I am much, much more relaxed this month overall which is a happier place to be. Got myself so worked up last month, it was ridiculous.

jp0303 · 30/10/2015 12:36

Hello newcomers, glad to have you joining us Smile

I will have a look at Kindara too, thanks for the recommendation.

I am going to keep ds's thermometer by my bed then if it's a first thing temp I need to take, although I'm lucky to get 4 hours in a row at the moment, think ds's molars are coming through so he is frequently up in the night. I'm too tired to get worked up about ttc this month because of it, so at least that's one good thing about being a tired zombie!

Is anybody getting towards testing time yet? I'm getting hopeful for more BFPs out there!

Hi newbies!!! Baby dust to you!!

Yes Kindara is another good one. I like the community aspect to it too....

HoggleHoggle · 30/10/2015 10:42

Hi owlina and figgy!

Figgygal · 30/10/2015 07:57

Hey all

Can I join too!!

Ttc 2nd have an almost 4yo DS who was conceived in 6 weeks a unexpected pg 2 years ago from 1 reckless night which ended in mc at 6 weeks been ttc 10 months now.

I've been online and bought some opks and a thermometer I'm already on trying for a baby vitamins. My cycles are all over the place having gone from a regular 28 day cycle to a cycle over the last year which fluctuated between 24 and 33 days having seemingly settled now on 24 for the last 3 months.

I'm a couple months shy of 35 and so after many tears the drs this month checked bloods and hormone levels were normal and I seem to be ovulating.

DH and I had always said we wouldn't take the fun out of ttc but after 10 months I'm going to science the shit out of it. If we don't get lucky in next couple of months will be back to dr for dh to be checked out.

I've downloaded an app which tracks temperature, mucus (god help me), ovulation think it's called kindara going to use that every day. It's got a lot of useful info on it re: ovulation and temp charting so would recommend, I've become the baby obsessed woman I said I wouldn't be.

Going to read the thread now wave to everyone ??

OwlinaTree · 29/10/2015 23:36

Hi guys can I join in? Trying to conceive no 2, started trying round 12th Oct, think I'm ovulating at the mo, not sure tho!

Took about 6 months with DS, and I'm 38 so not holding out much hope for a quick result.

I've got a clear blue monitor but I'm not turning it on for the first few months, just going to see what happens.

Glad to see a few bfps already on here. How exciting!

Peyia · 29/10/2015 21:58

loki can I have some please??? Hahah

Peyia · 29/10/2015 21:57

You got a temp first thing in the morning as soon as you wake or after 4 hours sleep. It's about the base temperature of your body apparently....I think that's right!!

Good luck ladies....xxx
