Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

I took and am taking cocodamol now Kellz and was told in my last pregnancy that although it is best not to take anything, it is the last trimester that is the most important to try and wean yourself off for.

HoggleHoggle · 20/12/2015 21:37

Good here thanks G, how about you?

Gx91 · 20/12/2015 20:51

Hey all how r we doing? Sorry super busy time at the moment , just checking in to see how everyone's getting on ? Xxx

Kellz92 · 20/12/2015 17:15

Im not on that, just cocodamol for when im a lot of pain and muscle relaxants but ive stopped taking for ttc. Trying not to have the cocodamol either unless needed. My consultants going to try keep me off medication as long as possible. Ive started getting a bit more exercise as thats meant to help xx

FuzzyOwl · 18/12/2015 21:06

Glad you have a supportive gp and rheumy Kellz as it can make a huge difference. Not sure if any medication has been suggested, but I used to take pregbabalin (similar to gabapentin) and was told it is really important not to take when ttc.

Kellz92 · 18/12/2015 13:53

Fuzzy im glad for my diagnosis as a lot of GPs dont believe in Fibromyalgia as no tests detect it. so im happy my gp believed me enough to send me to the rheumatologist and he believed me too,

JP I had a feeling that they were evaps so i didnt get myself excited. It is spooky, hoping its true!!. Im trying still a wee bit down after the diagnois but at least its confirmed

xx

jp0303 · 17/12/2015 23:30

Bad luck on your confusing tests Kellz, hope you're ok. Your Mum's visit to the psychic is spooky! Sounds like good things coming your way. Hope you're managing to stay positive about your diagnosis.

Oh dear Peyia, hope the apricots are helping! Soft fruit all the way. Constipation is dreadful for your mood so hope you've not been too down.

I am loving the labour stories! Definitely a good job we haven't got any ttc#1 on this board!! I highly recommend a tens machine, I loved mine, if anything it was great to have something to focus on as I had to press a button each time a contraction began and again when it stopped. I remember just before pushing getting in a muddle and being unsure whether I was pressing it on or off. My waters broke at a friends house (while I was demonstrating how dh & I were having to have sex to accommodate my 8 month pregnancy bump Blush) although I didn't have any contractions at first. Gx the midwife I spoke to after they broke advised me to go in to the hospital, so I did and was monitored for a bit then sent home with a leaflet about induction of labour with them saying if nothing happened in 24 hours they would induce me. Ds was born under 3 hours later with a bit of help from an episiotomy and venteuse. Loads of gas and air for the stitches!

I'd been told that when you get the ring of fire it means that baby will be out imminently, so I was trying to embrace that through the wincing.

Didn't get to go to my hypnobirthing class as baby was already born, maybe next time.

Hoggle, your upcoming date with friends sounds tough, hope it doesn't put you in a shit mood and that you do have fun, sure the new dress will help.

Are you feeling any better today Gx? Pregnancy hormones are a bitch!

Kellz I try to think of it in terms of something clearly is wrong with me and a diagnosis means doctors take me seriously and know what medications or treatments to suggest to help me control it as best I can. Xx

Kellz92 · 17/12/2015 11:29

Yeah shes getting better now thanks, shes still not eating properly though but were getting there :) x

Kellz92 · 17/12/2015 09:27

Normally a bit sceptical about psychics however this is the second that had said this.

Fuzzy was diagnosed last night. Been suffering a while now but i should have went to the GP before i did! Had the rheumatologist last night. My mum and nanny have it too. Thank you i will ask if i have any questions. Still getting my head around it. I knew i had it but having it confirmed for sure, Im a bit scared about how sore ill get but ill be fine,

Shorty Glad you got your static! Fx for us all!

xx

Shortybabe · 17/12/2015 05:50

Well glad I didn't get dh to pee on my last cb stick as I've only gone and got a static smiley! Cd 22 and had 13 flashers. I've just dragged a sleepy dh out of bed for some action (sorry tmi).
Very late to ovulate in 28-29 day cycle and I had ewcm on sat so not 100% sure this is right but feel less angry at the damn tests now it's finally gone static.

Kellz that's really interesting. Hope you won't have to wait long for it to be fulfilled. X

FuzzyOwl · 16/12/2015 23:14

Oh wow Kellz I want to see that psychic! I did see one almost a year ago who said she could see me with two under the age of 3. As my DC is six months old, that could mean ttc for a long time yet. Confused Bit of a side note, but if you do get diagnosed with Fibro and have any questions, feel free to ask as I am also a sufferer and was diagnosed a number of years ago now. Hope your appointment goes well.

Kellz92 · 16/12/2015 22:42

Thanks Peyia hoping its my month.

Mimi im looking forward to having some prosecco on christmas day not goung to lie lol.

Thanks fuzzy, hoping it helps :)

My mum went to see a physic on monday. Now bearing in mind i havent told any family or friends we are ttc, just to save the added pressure and so its a surprise. At one point the guy asked her to pick some cards for me. First was miscarriage, which i lost a baby in March. Second was new baby, third was joker card, seemingly fir all the chances i have had to take. He then asked my mum if i was pregnant and she replied not that she was aware of. He then said if i wasnt pregnant i was trying for a baby and that there will be one on the way soon. She then asked how many id have, he said he could see the dads a twin (other twin didnt survive past a few months pregnancy) but im only having one. A little boy. Needless to say my mums super excited lol.

Hope you all had a good day, im shattered after being busy with work then had a hospital appointment to get my fibromyalgia confirmed xxx

Shortybabe · 16/12/2015 21:09

I would too peyia. It's all so much more real after your scan. X

HoggleHoggle · 16/12/2015 19:07

That's great becks, I'm really pleased. Such lovely timing with Christmas coming.

Peyia I would be so tempted in your position!

beckslovestimmy · 16/12/2015 18:53

I'm still reading but finding it hard to keep up. Hoggle we had our scan yesterday. All looked good and they put my dates forward 5 days so 13+1 today.

Sorry to all of those who's AF has arrived.

Who's due to test soon?

Hello to everyone else new and old.

Peyia · 16/12/2015 18:41

9 days?!!! I better get shopping too Shock

Mimi what does HIE stand for?

Sorry AF arrived Kellz, fingers crossed for next time.

I don't have a scan date yet. Booking in appointment has taken forever and I was a bit slow in telling them I was pregnant. Tempted to have a private one before next week when I'll be 10 weeks. We can then show family over Xmas.

How is everyone?

xx
