This is my 4th IVF - please tell me it might have worked this time? There's a line, but I took the test hours ago...

So after 3 failed IVFs, I POAS this morning to see if the 4th one has worked.

It's been 12 days since I had 2x 5 day old blastocysts thawed and transferred back.

I POAS at around 7 this morning, watched the urine make its way along, and saw the control line appear but no test line. Devastated, I went back to bed. I definitely hadn't waited the 3-4 minutes that the instructions say. I then got up 2 hours later and it looks like the attached pic.

Can I get my hopes up? Has this happened to anyone else and it's turned out to be a real BFP? I just need to test again tomorrow morning, don't I? Any tips on getting through the next 24 hours?

PLEASE let this be a BFP! Confused

Thanking you in advance for your time Flowers

Got my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I also had nothing showing on one of those cheap strip tests on the same day that I got a clear line on a "proper" test. I don't think they're very sensitive.

Your self control is amazing , I would be peeing on it right now !

I've peed , tilted , dismantled and took more photos of tests than I care to remember . I got my BFP eventually and then another naturally a year later Shock

Good luck !

Thanks all! Superdrug test duly bought and waiting in the bathroom ready for the morning Wink

Another one saying the superdrug own brand test, they gave me a positive before my period was due.

Keeping everything crossed for you op xxx

Shetland · 14/09/2015 16:11

Another vote for first response or superdrug tests.
Fingers crossed for you.

MrsHenryCrawford · 14/09/2015 16:01

Best of luck op Xx

MNetter15 · 14/09/2015 15:51

Do a first response. They're THE most reliable.

I was getting very faint (had to squint and tilt, repeat x 100) on those cheapie strips but had a very visible line on first response.

I hope this is it for you Flowers

MagpieCursedTea · 14/09/2015 12:04

Those cheapy tests drive me mad, I've spent far too much time analysing them myself.
Really hoping you get your bfp, keeping everything crossed for you!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 14/09/2015 11:42

Wishing you lots of luck OP xx

Zook · 14/09/2015 11:40

Oh LittleBear, I have no advice to give (I never managed a BFP despite numerous IVF's) but I've been where you are right now and I logged in just to send some support and love your way. I know how hard it is to be patient and be second guessing yourself and those darn sticks all the time. Hang in there, I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! xxx

Moojay · 14/09/2015 11:35

Highly recommend either the Superdrug own brand tests (in a pink box) pr a First response. Both are the most sensitive you can get. When I was trying I used the Amazon ones, was hit and miss if it cane up positive on them, even after having pregnancy confirmed with doctors via blood test!
Wishing you all the luck in the world OP!

OP, I had lots of IVF and I went through lots of those cheap tests. They were all inaccurate - rubbish, the lot of them.

Get another Clearblue.
Test 1st thing in the morning if you can wait that long.

Good luck (your 1st pic looked v encouraging to me).x

Tiredemma · 14/09/2015 11:26

agree get First Response

mintleaf · 14/09/2015 11:22

I agree with the suggestion to get a first response test. Good luck and everything crossed.

sofato5miles · 14/09/2015 10:38

Doublebubblebubble · 14/09/2015 08:29
