Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Shary I'm also back to work on Tuesday (and after putting on about 10lbs on holiday) so it's back to healthy eating for me too! You don't by any chance work in a school?

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:43

Katy OH made it sound like I was hungover not a hormonal mess!

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:41

Oooh Bex! My cycles are that crap I can't have a cycle buddy so do you want to be my take away twin?! Lol!
Back to work for me on Tuesday so going to order a healthy shop tomorrow I think. Being off work is really bad for me- to much time to overthink and eat crap!

On a side note does anyone know what's going on with the talk app? I'm sure I read somewhere they are launching a new one. Could do with the app for when I'm in work!!

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 22:36

Bex after a lack of a withdrawl bleed and reading way too many posts and sites about people coming off BC and falling pregnant immediately I think I convinced myself that the symptoms were more than just withdrawl! Rubbish!!

Shary "feeling delicate?" made me giggle. Rather sensitive (and amusing) way to ask about it haha

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 22:31

Ooh shary I also had dominos. And wine.

Back on the wagon tomorrow, using the bank holiday to cook and freeze plenty of healthy food for the week and ditching the vino. Maybe even permanently if I can cling into the wagon hard enough! Wink

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 22:29

katietatie the first month after you withdraw from BC is the worst - you basically get every PG symptom aside from a bloody baby!

Wonder it's nice to see someone else in the same boat! I always said I'd never ever ever do it again after a traumatic birth with my DD... Up until 12 months ago that is! Lol.

(I'm told it's a natural response to my biological clock ticking) Hmm

SharyBobbins · 30/08/2015 22:28

I made it!! Phew! Is this where we all hang out now?
I had Dominos for tea..... (don't forget we agreed no judgement!). I think this was OHs way of trying to cheer me up as I'm a right mardy cow today. I have no idea why. His word when he came home were "are you still feeling delicate?" which was a nice way of saying "should I still be cautious of you shouting at me and/or crying for no reason?". This was as a result of me standing in the bathroom this morning pointing out every fresh spot on my stupid face saying "this is what happens when you come off the pill and I don't even have a baby to show for it".....!!!

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 22:00

Must say I ain't heard Clay and the gang talking about CM, crazy foofs and sore boobs. So clearly TTCers are more hardcore.

Shall definitely keep you updated. Have to go to work after the appointment for my 2nd day of INSET training so hopefully it's not too upsetting or that'll be a fun day! Hmm

Ooh thought of another symptom I've been obsessed with - weeing! I can usually go when I get up at 5.30am for work and won't often go till I get back from work at 5pm ish but for the past couple weeks it's been at least hourly and a couple times during the night (which I never do). It's only been 3 weeks of TTC and I'm obsessed already!

themoo · 30/08/2015 21:56

Hahhaaaaa Katy I'm also hiding my obsession from mr moo. He's in the other room working so I'm good for the time being (until match if the day starts, which I have to admit to also loving).

Perhaps I should add that I am not at all sure all my bits are in working order due to some very serious and aggressive abdominal surgery (fertility bits unrelated) when I was 30. I guess if nothing happens this month I shall take myself to the GP and start the prodding. Feel my joy.

PrtyPsn · 30/08/2015 21:53

pahahahaha katy Samcro got nothing on us!!
Make sure you let us know how Wednesday goes, can see why it might be a difficult day but I reckon knowing is better than not, FX'd for you :)

Katytatiepot · 30/08/2015 21:47

Thanks Prty (dons jacket, starts strutting like a Sons of Anarchy member!)

DH kept asking what I was reading religiously on my phone, had to keep saying just random things - didn't dare tell him it was a TTC symptoms post as he'd think I was mad. Although with everything going on and his little knowledge of how conception isn't just a do IT and get pregnant thing, he was convinced I was pregnant too.

I'm hoping all goes well at the hospital on Wed - there was talk at my last appointment of exploratory surgery to see if everything was in working order which would be a good way of knowing for sure what's possible but also annoys me as I just want to be pregnant now please and thank you!!

themoo · 30/08/2015 21:45

I'm back. Stuffed full of spuds.

Hello fellow lurkers!

Hand made burgers eeeeehhhh? Bit posh like ;)

PrtyPsn · 30/08/2015 21:40

Wow katy welcome to the gang (throws you a motorbike style gang cut off jacket) honoured to be part of your honeymoon :)
Pill withdrawal can be an absolute bitch, don't be disheartened though, every chance things will happen and practice makes perfect!

WonderOnTheUp · 30/08/2015 21:38

Thanks Prty! Cycle times vary for me too so what with DH being in another country for 3 weeks every month I think we may be doomed TTC! Trying not to get too caught up with dates but it's hard not to think about it

Hi mummybex - nice to "meet" another TTC after a long gap!

PrtyPsn · 30/08/2015 21:37

Hey bex glad you made the crossing! There's still a few posts up for grabs on the old thread lol
Hi kels welcome :) you can definitely let your TTC craziness out here, mich better than bottling it up!
Forgot to mention I'm DBAFD 11 (that's days before AF due for those unaware!) and feeling symptomless today - still weeing a lot but nothing more

sneaks in very quietly with a huge bag of chocolate treats

Hi ladies. Can I admit to being another lurker?! Can I also admit to reading all 1000 posts? Can I also admit that I read them all whilst on my honeymoon in Mexico? And finally, can I admit that they kept my mind at ease a little?

A bit of background; I'm 28 from the NE of England, I got married in April after being with Mr Tatiepot for 10 years and we decided to start TTC at the start of August. I was put on the mini pill in April/May as I'm being monitored for endometriosis and they thought it would help with my symptoms. I decided to stop taking it at the start of August (about 10 days into a pack) as I just didn't want it in my body anymore, and as of yet have had no withdrawal bleed or AF. I've got a gyno appointment on Wednesday to discuss results of latest ultrasound and see if conception is even possible.

This didn't stop me being convinced I was pregnant whilst on honeymoon. DH and I DTD 3/4 times in the week after coming off the pill, so this coupled with EWCM between DTD#2 and 3 postively certain that I had conceived. For the first week of my honeymoon I had ridiculously sore boobs, was exhausted, boiling (yes I realise I was in Mexico), kept going dizzy and light headed, emotional and had lots of twinges and cramps. Dr Google led me to your previous thread and I kind of felt like I was on the journey with you but I didn't have the courage to make a MN username at the time. With a new start to the thread I thought it was a good opportunity to join.

I got back from honeymoon on Saturday morning and one of the first things I did was POAS...BFN! I was gutted but during my second week I had kind of come to the conclusion it was all just withdrawal symptoms from the mini pill. Why do our bodies do these things to us?! I think I just thought that it would make a good story to say I got pregnant on my first try even with endometriosis but I don't think my journey is going to be so simple. I did order some more pregnancy tests with my Asda order today but they didn't send any, claiming pregnancy tests were unavailable! I'm taking it as a sign that I don't need to retest.

Without having had a period since coming off the pill I have no idea where I am in a cycle but I do think I'm 13dp EWCM (if that can be such a thing). I have lost lots of my initial symptoms which makes me sure it was just pill withdrawal but that's not to say I won't be totally crazily obsessed over any that creep up as I go onwards with this journey.

Now that I've told my (ridiculously long) story, am I welcome in Prty's gang?

PS - if it helps, I had a BBQ at my PIL's house for tea!

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 21:35

Hi Kels - welcome to the mad house Flowers

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 21:34

Oh and I'm 30 too, TTC #2 after a ten year gap, 28-39 day cycles. Fun times. Wink

KelsM1982 · 30/08/2015 21:33

Hi ladies
I'm new here, can I join in?
I already have 2 sons, 9&7 yet I am extremely broody, I'm not sure my fella thinks ttc is entirely a great idea but he suggested removing mirena relax and see what happens.
Well he thinks I'm relaxed about it all because I haven't mentioned to him but I have been for removal the following day (he knows that bit) downloaded ovia app, bought bbt thermometer, pregnancy tests, taking pregnancy vitamins etc.

Phew it's like a Sunday confession- I don't want to scare him with my eagerness and mad symptom spotting that I know I will be doing in a few weeks

MummyBex1985 · 30/08/2015 21:32

Ohhh this is where we are all lurking is it Wine

I'm amazed at my self control for not nabbing the last post on the previous thread.... Grin

PrtyPsn · 30/08/2015 21:19

Hi wonder you're more than welcome to join us :)
I'm Prty, 30, TTC #1, been trying since March but missed my fertile window that cycle (sigh) using Clue app and CM to try to pinpoint but have had hits and misses with both - cycles vary from 28 to 33 days so not always sure we are DTD at the right time!

OP posts:
WonderOnTheUp · 30/08/2015 21:10

Can I join you lovely ladies please?

I'm 32 and have 1 ds (8) and have always said I wouldn't have any more children (poor health in pregnancy, pnd etc) that is until recently!

Feel a bit like a first timer as friends now having babies and it all seems to have changed!!

Have been TTC for a few months but DH works away so timing is not always great Blush but this month will have been the best timing wise so I'm keeping everything crossed!

Sorry for the life story post!

PrtyPsn · 30/08/2015 20:59

Deep breaths stripes told us - no foof left behind :)
moo you are like a crazy little whirlwind!! I made some beef burgers, from scratch by hand (yeah, I'm pretty proud and gloating!)

themoo · 30/08/2015 20:56

Dinner is reaching critical mass so I'll be off for a bit. Back later tonight prolly.

I do like to perv on other people's food though, so if you would all be so kind as to tell me what you've had for dinz I'd be terribly grateful.

Laterz yo.
