Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Sounds like a sensible plan Prty ! X

PrtyPsn · 01/09/2015 21:35

Thanks, lovely - I'm totally giving up on OPK, CM and tracking on my app is the only way I'm looking to predict my fertile window... if I'm still no pg by Xmas then I might start to temp or invest in a more expensive OPK

OP posts:
Stripes1983 · 01/09/2015 21:31

Thanks Prty , was a relief to know that the Dr didn't think I was stupid ! I mentioned to her about not getting any positive OPK results and she said they don't recommend them as they aren't v reliable, I suppose it depends on many factors and didn't drs but as I know your in the same boat with OPKs I thought I would share xx

PrtyPsn · 01/09/2015 21:25

Awww stripes so pleased you feel you could share, that must be really tough, hugs xx good to know you are taking sensible steps and getting some good support from docs

Stripes1983 · 01/09/2015 21:17

sorry to hear about BFN neetie , sending hugs :( xx ....so confession time - I went to the drs today , didn't say anything before as thought they might laugh me out of the door with a "come back when your serious"! I've been worried about not ovulating & more so because about 7 yrs ago I was going to donate my eggs to a friend but when I went through the tests they advised me not to as I had the egg count / reserve ( whatever that pots called!) of someone in their 30's( mid 20'sat the time) So anyways back to present day, Dr was so kind and reassuring , has told me the steps we will take , blood tests first , although due to my slightly erratic cycles it may take a few and then will see from there. Sorry for long post but felt like now was the time to share as kind of been a bit if i don't say it it's not real ! Fx for all those coming up to POAS day ! X

PrtyPsn · 01/09/2015 19:54

Hey life good to see you :) 'fraid you missed all the Maltesers...
Feeling decidedly fed up, had a stressful morning, fab afternoon and evening then a 'friend' decides to stir up trouble and just tainted all the good things about today.
Very mild cramp on my left side... DBAFD 8

Thanks Annie :-) although I'm not convinced AF is going to stay away. :-/ will keep you posted xx

Fingers crossed for you pinky my cycle buddy! Xx

neetie1 · 01/09/2015 18:50

mmm so went to the loo and there was brown discharge on pad def not blood but discharge...don't you just love our bodies

neetie1 · 01/09/2015 18:22

I wouldn't normally get worried about it but I have never felt sick at all in the many times I thought it might be BFP , boobs have been on/off tingey/achey and veins still in boobs and thighs..

pinky17 · 01/09/2015 18:12

Neetie i'm totally with you! I felt sick as a dog last af, was convinced I must have conceived but then she arrived so I put it down to me hoping and wanting too much!

Still mega crampy here but no af, was due Saturday and that was with Ovia app making my cycles 30 as opposed to my usual clockwork 28. Very bizarre. Going to test tomorrow.....

Annie2311 · 01/09/2015 18:09

Life That all sounds pretty flipping excellent to me! Crossing everything for you! Aaaaaaaagh!

You're right katy, we only ever seem to have that mega a row about something silly. I got an apology text this morning from him at work! Secretly I know it was me being a loonie. Am apologising by way of carbonara this evening.

Hmmm, what a strange one then neetie - thought if it was early it could be IB. Well at least you know you're at the start of a brand new cycle and can get on with the simple bit (?) soon, providing you're not still feeling queasy of course. Lots of love xx

My best mate's newborn fell asleep on me today, already decided it's either going to have charmed or cursed my ovaries depending on what happens next week - no pressure little guy!

neetie1 · 01/09/2015 17:37

Annie no was pretty much on schedule but just odd it never just stops and I have never felt sick during a period before.

Bex enjoy your week away I used to work at Epcot in Florida 2003/2004 ..fab year :)

Katytatiepot · 01/09/2015 16:53

Lots going on over here as always!

Pom fx that it could have been an implantation bleed, all signs could be good. You never know!

Lou fx for you too!

Annie sometimes the most daft things cause the biggest arguments - has OH calmed down yet?

Prty vivid dreams can be awful! OH had one the other day and he woke up absolutely convinced I was pregnant as he'd dreamt I was....I wasn't!

Thinking about jobs, I think I'd also have to tell work early. I just think if you have a rough first trimester it can look a bit odd to colleagues. I wouldn't be spreading the word to everyone but would probably tell management. Plus with my stupid endometriosis the journey could not be smooth and I think I'd potentially need a support network at home. But apart from telling parents I would only be sharing on a need to know basis.

OH wants to come up with some elaborate way to spread the word after 12 weeks, I dread to think what he comes up with. I'm not a fan of whacking a scan pic on FB with a "we're having a baby" tag line so I would want to do something interesting and fun!

LifeIsGood14 · 01/09/2015 16:39

Hello again! Long time no type! Hi to all the newbies! It's been ages since my last post..I went on my jollies..camping! Carried on TTC! Hehe
Here are my stats: age #25, TTC #1 cycle #5 DBAFD -2!!

At the weekend I had some brown discharge, thought AF was on her way but then nothing... Daren't do a PG test as I fear another BFN! So I'm just holding out.. Possible symptoms.. Really tired, peeing a lot and not being able to hold it!... And so much acne :-( I'm always hungry so that really isn't a sign for me. Boobs are normal..

Glad I was able to find you guys again on this brand spanking new thread :-) who'da thought it ay prty :-)

Lou13e · 01/09/2015 16:26

Prty - I'm so with you, I'll need to tell work so want my parents to know before them, plus if anything was to go wrong the second person I'd go to for help is my mum, hmph my oh will just have to get use to it. I love the way I'm stressing over this yet not even pregnant yet.

Haha re superboob, that's got to be in the next thread title along with foof!

When can I do a pregnancy test? My period is due in 4 or 5 days..

Annie2311 · 01/09/2015 15:51

Oh neetie, what a bugger! Sorry about that. Was this AF earlier than you expected? xx

neetie1 · 01/09/2015 12:31

Umm well so I caved and POAS after holding out for a bit, and of course BFN but hey had to check.

neetie1 · 01/09/2015 11:57

Morning...all very weird here....still feeling sick in morning, headaches, backache etc oh and bleeding has stopped...not slowed down just stopped so that's three days of not particularly heavy bleeding...mmm

PrtyPsn · 01/09/2015 07:15

aindy noooo we avoid IKEA - as much as we love it every bugger is preggo or has a newborn with them!! Well done for braving it though (throws a jumbo sized box of Maltesers your way)
lou totally get your conflict - I've always been a 'tell after 3 months' way of thinking but my job has a lot of risk attached and my boss will need to know immediately, the thought of her knowing (then all my colleagues guessing due to my restricted role) before any of my family or friends know absolutely kills me :( thing is I know the risks decrease after that initial 12 week period but it's not a fail safe plus if anything happened I think I would want people to know so they could support me rather than saying something which upsets me cos that don't know about my situation... make sense?
I think when I get my BFP I'll be telling family and close friends but no formal announcement (ie sticking it on FB!) until 12 weeks
Had done really awful vivid dreams last night, the main focus was me letting OH down and vice versa - cheating, moving out etc... fair to say TTC is heavily on my mind right now :(
(quietly starts sewing a cape for annie's superboob)

HEY YOU GUYYYYYYYYYS!

Catches breath

Can't believe it's been 48 hours since I was last here. New thread, new foofs, pinata-foofs?!, superboobs! Malteasers - gaddammit, why do I always miss out on the chocolate! Stuffs 10 mini muffin wrappers into empty wine glass and curses at Bank Holiday Tesco hours

I actually had to socialise in real life, and saunter round IKEA, and get some fresh air, whilst I raced my OH around played with my DS on the GoKart track at Farmer Palmers.

Ah, but now I can relax and slouch on the sofa, late at night, with a nice warm laptop, and hide from the real world...forgetting about all those bumps I saw over the past two days Envy picks at leftover chocolate chips from wrappers

Oh hai newbies!! Grin

pomBearPooPouffe · 01/09/2015 00:10

Lou13e it's more likely to have been a period. Though I haven't tested - tests are so sodding expensive here - the cheapest i can find are 6 dollars each (2.5 quid). Shall keep up the shagathon for a bit and test if no period in 2 weeks - though on current form AF's more likely to arrive next week.

This is all a bit different from before I went on the pill in 2002, and the one time I came off it for a few months in the last decade, when I had a clockwork-like 28-day cycle of complete hell 3 weeks out of 4 - about which I somewhat embarrassingly posted in chat not long ago, in dread of what it was all going to be like now I'd come off the pill. But if actually i'm going to have a sub-20-day cycle, feel normal most of the time, and have 3-day fairly light periods, not much pain, and lots of shagging, then I can totally put up with periods. If only it had been like this 20-25 years ago! Grin

themoo · 31/08/2015 23:53

Lou you're only doing what we've all done!

LOL Annie I have a superboob too - my left. It's bigger than the runty one (the right) so it hurts more. Mind you, it also gets more attention...

Annie2311 · 31/08/2015 23:12

bex well jealous of your week away! Heavenly.

pom that sounds irritatingly confusing. Annoyingly the best advice I can think of is wait and see what happens- I know that's the worst bit of this whole business!

Giant row with OH this eve about where we should keep tools and old paint. Totally reasonable (?) I started laughing halfway through and then got mad again. I must be such a dream to live with.

Always get sore boobs before AF, but anyone ever had one boob way more sore than the other? The left one kills. Am I developing a superboob?

Lou13e · 31/08/2015 22:55

Hehe thanks girls, I'm only messing around, I'm reined back in now, I'm so glad I've got an out let here. Turns out I may be a bit hormonal, just had a right row with oh... He doesn't want to tell anyone until 3 months, I'd normally kind of agree with this but I have to tell work pretty much immediately and go on restricted duties therefore everyone will know... So I'd want to tell my parents first.. But no!

Ugh. Right im taking my post night shift and hormonal self to bed. Night night

themoo · 31/08/2015 22:32

Lou I had decided the same thing earlier this month - hungry all the time, sore boobs, creamy CM, vivid dreams... You name it I had it.
I really hope in your case you're right, but we got your back if you're not xx
