Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

How long has the spotting been going on for life?
I was like that last cycle, so eager to POAS even before AF was due but then terrified when she was late!!
We are a here for you whatever you choose to do, lovely xx

When this crazy journey of TTC started I couldn't stop taking tests and now I'm putting it off!!?? AF is now 5 days late and I'm dreading taking a test incase it's a BFN! Confused all ive had up to now is brown discharge/blood but not enough to wear a pad. Just when I wipe mostly. Just think I will be so gutted and very confused if I test and its negative :-(

Fingers crossed kitten that the results are nothing to worry about. Big hugs to you guys that are having a bad day x

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 15:57

Thank you everyone - you're all so lovely! Xx
prty - the fluid could be good signs!! Keeping fingers crossed for you.
Thanks ella - yes we're in similar situations then, good to know - keeping the faith is a good idea. Thanks as well for your lovely words - dh thinks it'll be something they can sort out for me - let's hope so.
annie - it's my birthday this weekend so hopefully a good distraction- dh and ds will make sure I have a good one with lots of CakeWine. Weirdly enough I get sore boobs pre af too - I've got it at the moment - my nipples stick out loads too Blush - copping a feel definitely not welcome from dh! Hope it's a good sign for you though!

tay13 · 03/09/2015 14:31

Hi everyone! Hoping it's ok for me to join your chit chat - just read this post and found it really refreshing that there are others equally frustrated with TTC
I'm 27 TTC #2 (lost #1 last December after a cord accident in the womb at 21 weeks) DH is away training. TTC#1 took 15 months, since been diagnosed with PCOS and I have RA - due to undergo a total knee replacement in 8 weeks - I should be distracted by all thats going on but all I can think about is babies!

Annie2311 · 03/09/2015 14:17

So glad you had a good experience shary! Sounds like the person you saw understands and is really on your side - makes the world of difference hey?

Kitten, that is really frustrating, have you got any nice weekend plans to distract you while you wait?

Prty, the countdown continues right? While you contain the fountain of bodily fluids I have sore boobs over here (typical pre AF for me recently). OH keeps telling me they look massive (not possible with my humble rack!) and trying to cop a feel - not welcome thank you!

Ellamorella · 03/09/2015 14:00

Ack! Sorry, long message again!

Ellamorella · 03/09/2015 14:00

kitten welcome! I'm in nearly the exact same situation as you, but my little'un (son) is 8. I'm 38, been TTC since around the Summer last year, although I was trying to be relaxed about it, now it's been a while, I'm beginning to worry. Although I'm just trying to keep the faith that it will happen, it just might take a little longer than before...

Welcome Emz fingers crossed for you that you are lucky first time around, but if not, we're all here for you with lots of chocolate and support!

bobbins I'm so sorry you're nervous about having your bloods. Try to turn the situation on it's head, and look at it from a different perspective. If you can, see it as a positive step towards you getting pregnant. In the book I'm reading (The Baby Making Bible), she really reinforces how positive visualization can be! She encourages you to visualize yourself making lovely ripe fertile eggs, fertilization, implantation etc... And says it can make a big difference!! I'm trying that now, it helps to feel more positive.

kitten I'm sorry too that you have to wait so long for your bloods results. I hope you can get through the next few days with lots of love and support from your partner. And keep busy with friends and family. Hugs!

Prty - am crossing my fingers for you that this cycles a good'un!!

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 13:11

That's really sucky kitten hugs, my lovely xx just cos you have to see the doc don't fear the worst - my docs won't give any results at all over the phone, all done via appointments.
DBAFD 6 but I feel like she's coming sooner... cramping today, back ache, weirdly sore foof (like when you DTD a bit too vigorously or over wipe) even felt like I was bleeding earlier but just very watery CM... still got excess saliva and peeing - I'm just a fluid factory!!!

OP posts:
MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 12:37

Thanks shary - it's because the doctor who referred me is on leave til then - so unfortunately I have to wait, the results are there but the receptionist refused to give them to me as she 'is not medically qualified' - so I am gutted.

SharyBobbins · 03/09/2015 12:29

Hi ladies, thanks so much for your messages you really are a wonderful bunch xxx
Kitten, it's ridiculous they're making you wait that long, can they not fit you in if there is a cancellation?
The lady who took my bloods said she usually works at an early pregnancy unit so she understood my worries. She was lovely. She told me that my bloods could be available as quickly as this evening or tomorrow morning which surprised me. She said they usually process hormonal bloods quicker Hmm

MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 12:08

I'm fed up.
Went for day 21 bloods the other day to see if I'm actually ovulating and just phoned for results - there's a note on the file to say I need to see the doctor so am so worried now. The appointment isn't until Tuesday so I will drive myself mad between then and now worrying Sad. I could just cry

Emzlou15 · 03/09/2015 11:25

Thank you for the warm welcome and the acception of my craziness ;)

Flowers I went to the doctors once because I missed the first couple of days of my pill and she went crazy, phoned people made me pee in a tube then got told by some person on the phone that actually it was probably OK. I think she got more scared than me! I did think when coming off it was either going to be a quick return to normal or a longgggg slog! Think I have the long slog :(

MrsFlowers82 · 03/09/2015 10:16

Brilliant Aindy, you made my morning Grin

Shary I am so sorry you are having a crap start to the day. We are all thinking of you and here when you need to let the smile slip with virtual hugs and Cake. Keep us posted xxx

Emz. I came off the pill in April, had withdrawl and AF has been pretty regular since, about 30-32 days, but VERY light, nothing like it used to be, some days just spotting. I don’t really get any EWCM either, or at least, hardly anything. I never knew how much the pill could mess your body up. We are told how easy it is our whole lives – I feel completely misled and lied to!! Anyway, hoping AF doesn’t show up for you. Let’s keep letting our craziness out here Wink

xxx

themoo · 03/09/2015 09:18

Morning girls.
Just popping in to drop off a hug for shary.
Also just realised that my next fertile window is a weekend when the in laws are staying with us to help knock a wall down. Stealth sex it is then!

MrsKittenPie · 03/09/2015 07:46

aindy - oh yes please do stats - would be good to see where everyone is at. What do you need from us? Exactly about sperm strike! Men have the easy part and they still bloody moan!!
shary - big hug for you. This road isn't easy at all and it's perfectly normal to be nervous but we're all with you. Like prty says - you don't need a fake smile, it's okay to show how you're feeling. Let us know how you get on

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 07:29

Hey shary (scoops you up into a big hug) it's gonna be fine. Your doc sounds really understanding and the blood tests are a positive step.
You don't have to put a fake smile on - everyone is allowed off days and maybe it wouldn't hurt to show people you're not doing so great today, you don't have to say why but you might find people respond differently if they know it's not a good day for you.
Be sure to let us know how the docs goes, my lovely xx

Morning ladies, sorry to put a downer on the thread so early in the morning but I'm an emotional mess today! I'm irrationally nervous about bloods this morning, feel physically sick at the thought of walking in to the GP surgery. To add to that my temperature has dropped (it did yesterday- I was hoping it would go back up again today but it's dropped further) so I'm 99% sure I'm out. Again. Just told OH not to expect a BFP this month. He said all the right things but the disappointment was written all over his face. I just want to cry!! I have the drive between the doctors and work to sort my head out and paint a fake smile on my face but I'm not sure I can do it.

PrtyPsn · 03/09/2015 07:06

Pahahahaha aindy next time my OH gets grumpy I'm gonna read that post to him! Spot on!!
Feel free to collate stats - like I said before I only didn't do it cos I don't understand it but I'm fine if someone else wants to :)
emz welcome to the most not so secret secretly cray cray thread on MN! The first month or so of coming off the pill is really hard, a lot of pill withdrawal symptoms are the same as AF & pg symptoms. It can take a few cycles for your body to readjust so don't be disheartened, that being said people have fallen pg straight after stopping the pill too!

Welcome emz, I think we're all experts at not revealing just how cray cray we are to our delightful other halves, hehe. That's why I love this place.

It's just 5am and I've been awake over an hour in agony, pulled a muscle in my neck in my sleep I think, can't get comfy and debating if I'd be really out of order waking up my oh and demanding a massage.

On a more positive note.,, one day further on in the 2ww

Emzlou15 · 02/09/2015 23:55

Uhm, hi can I join? (Pokes head round corner) I'm hoping you guys can help keep the little sanity I have left.

I'm 22 and have been married to my DH for nearly 4 months now & been together for nearly 5 years and we've just started TTC #1.
I came off the Pill 23rd July and my Withdrawl bleed finished on 29th July and I haven't had an AF since.
I also haven't noticed any EWCM through this time. For the past week I've been having really vivid dreams (when I can finally get off to sleep), creamy CM, 'tender nips', on and off nausea, and a constant urge to eat. I also feel like every morning I'm going to see AF but it's not there.. I tested on the 28th and got a BFN. Now I only have one test left and every morning I want to take it. I'm going crazy and this is our first month D: I'm really hoping for AF just to show up so I know where I am and what on earth my body is up to!
DH is somehow coping with my craziness atm but he doesn't know the full extent (ssssh)

LittleAindy · 02/09/2015 22:55

Trying to catch up on all the posts every 24 hours is a workout! As a number cruncher by day, I have an overwhelming urge to put all your stats in an Excel sheet as a reference point! (secretly hopes this is good idea)

So for now I am going to say welcome newbies!! Grin

For those those battling the witch, we are on a new cycle now! We've had 1 BFP, and we SHALL continue the trend!

For those in the TWWOH, indulge in that symptom spotting!

For those whose OHs are on a sperm strike...I agree with you, WTF, it's not like they have to get exponentially fatter on a 9 month hormonal rollercoaster, only to have their genitals ripped apart at the end, like something out of Alien. All they have to do is have a God damn orgasmn. Jeez.

MrsKittenPie · 02/09/2015 22:16

shary - I can only watch that when I'm in a 'good' part of my cycle i.e when I'm not sulking about yet another af arriving - it has to be during a time when I'm feeling positive that a bfp may be possible.... Now I realise that makes me sounds utterly crazy......

SharyBobbins · 02/09/2015 21:17

I really feel like I should DTD again tonight just in case! Argh!!

Eugh is anyone else watching One Born or is it just me who tortures themselves?!

MrsKittenPie · 02/09/2015 21:17

mrsflowers - exactly!! I was exactly the same last week - definitely a mood killer but when he was going on about not just there for sperm all I could think was 'FFS why did you have to have this meltdown on my most fertile days' !! Obviously I couldn't say that to him as it really wouldn't have helped Blush
Yes I think being part of the gang will really help Grin
