Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Prty honey I'm really sorry, but still got my FX for you that it isn't yet another visit from the bitch. It's a bit early for you isn't it so still in with a shot!

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 19:27

Thanks for the warm wishes, lovelies x
No cramps like I normally have the day before and of AF, back still killing me and got a headache too but I figure that's probably stress :/

Fingers crossed it's IB Prty. How's your back feeling now?
Aindy glad your results were okay! My OPKs are like Prty's- the test line has to be as strong as or stronger than the control line. I've tested everyday this cycle using them because I'm an absolute freak for the benefit of science (ha!). When I got my positive OPK the test line appeared a lot quicker than usual and was stronger than the control line. I don't think they gradually got darker but there were some days when they were darker than others. Still using them now even though I'm apparently 7dpo! Not sure what I'm trying to achieve by doing that but it makes me feel like I'm doing something!

Annie2311 · 04/09/2015 18:46

prty squeezing your hand and crossing everything it's IB. Big love FOF x

Glad your results were ok aindy- can't offer any advice on OPKs, yet to enter that realm so keen to see how you find it. Might need to have a try next month.

Thanks so much for all of your kind words, they helped me out of a pretty blue place this morning. Am feeling much better and have just distracted myself by deciding to cook really time consuming new things for mates who're coming over for dinner this eve.

LittleAindy · 04/09/2015 18:21

Oh Prty Flowers let's hope beyond hope that it's IB.

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 18:03

Depressing weekend ahead - just wiped and there's a pinkish/brown tinge... looks like I'm out :(

OP posts:
LittleAindy · 04/09/2015 17:15

Thanks Prty. That's actually really helpful. I did wonder why the control lines on Ov strips are considerably lighter than the cheap Pg control lines! Thought it just hadn't worked properly.

Yeah defo only using them this cycle, if everything is supposedly 'normal'. Last thing I want is to think I'm not ovulating!!

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 16:54

aindy the cheap OPKs I used the line had to be as strong or stronger than the control line - some days I got nothing, some days I got a faint line, no rhyme or reason to strength of line vs nothing at all :/
Keep testing every day until you get a positive result or until you think you're out of your fertile window or until they drive you insane age you throw them out of the window... last one just me then?

LittleAindy · 04/09/2015 16:45

Woohoo Life!!! Big congrats! And happy birthday Flowers. I suppose it would be rude not to have some cake... mashes into face in 3 seconds flat

So I got my results back from the doc. All is 'normal'. Although that's reassuring, it still doesn't explain the reason for mid cycle spotting, 3 weeks of cramping and a 10 day scanty period!! Oh well, mustn't grumble.

So I did my first cheap Ov strip test today. I saw the faintest of faintest lines. Didn't look like evap, from what I Googled. I'm on CD 14 according to Ovia and still 5 days until fertile window. For those who have used the cheapies before, do I just keep testing every day now? If so, for how long? Did any of you have faint lines that got stronger later? Does it matter what time of day?

Sorry for all the questions!! DTD anyway last night even though I've technically just finished AF a couple of days ago. Always worth getting an early one in, I suppose!

SharyBobbins · 04/09/2015 13:20

Oh my goodness birthdays & BFPs!! Cake
Congratulations!!!

Still waiting for results, trying to be chilled! Just quickly popped on to say I've used conceive plus which is the same preseed apparently. No idea if its made a difference but it certainly helped when I had a lack of EWCM. We have the tube (no applicators) & OH puts it on his fingers when we start getting down to it lol Blush

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 13:09

Awww annie my cycle buddy! Chin up sweetie, this is the hardest part of the cycle I think... cos it's so close to being able to test but too early is just pointless. I'm starting to feel the BFN fear too, especially cos I seem to have so many symptoms but I just can't let myself read too much into them... might test on Sunday...

Happy Birthday to you flowers!! And thanks for the Cake

LifeIsGood14 · 04/09/2015 13:06

Lower Back pain is another symptom too of mine but also of AF too

LifeIsGood14 · 04/09/2015 13:04

Thank you ladies! I'm still so in shock. We've been trying since May. We went on holiday this cycle so I was quite relaxed and not thinking about it too much. This week I've had restless legs in the evenings, been really tired and lots of spots. My boobs/nipples feel normal and I don't have any nausea (yet!) x

MummyBex1985 · 04/09/2015 13:00

Hi Annie

I think everyone has their good and bad days. It's right about that time that it gets you down. I'm fine for the first two weeks and then stress after that and feel meh until my AF comes lol.

Psychologically all you can do is push the thoughts and symptom spotting out of your head, I was like that before and it drove me crazy, the last couple of months I'm just trying to forget about it. I'm okay so far this month but it didn't exactly work for me last month haha!

Annie2311 · 04/09/2015 12:11

Happy birthday flowers! Wishing you a wonderful one.

prty those sound some prty good symptoms to me! Getting excited for you my love.

I'm feeling a bit wobbly today, AF due on Tuesday but I've sort of got the fear of another disappointment. Had a big chat with OH about TTC last night- I just think about it so much that it's exhausting by this point in my cycle. He said he thinks about it too but he imagines what our baby would look like etc and can shut it off when he needs to, whereas I spend most of my time analysing everything my body does to see if it means anything. I'm usually quite good at putting things in perspective but struggling today. Feeling a bit queasy sort of high up in my throat, but I'm even trying to convince myself that's just me wanting to feel something. Humph. This roller coaster is wearing me out and making me blue at the moment.

Apologies for sitting in the corner with a rain cloud over my head, but with all the happy sunny vibes in here I'm hoping it makes a foof shaped rainbow!

pinky17 · 04/09/2015 11:25

If it's any consolation Prty back pain can be a symptom and I'm very much struggling with it too! FX for you m'dear! Sending you preggo vibes by the bucket full!

I love how we're at work and managing to get our doses of MN at the same time! Such a conscientious bunch! Hahahahaha!

MrsFlowers82 · 04/09/2015 11:24

Prty I am with Pinky, it all sounds very promising! FX for you and until you can either test or have a nice long soak, keep nabbing that cake to take your mind off the back pain!

Mummy I think you do insert it before DTD. I am not due to O now until late Sept so will keep you posted. It will probably be my cringey DTD story Aindy!! Blush Anyway, whatever happens, I feel better than I did earlier this week – I have a battle plan!

So... Life have you told anyone? What did your OH say? xxx

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 11:13

oooo didn't see that - Happy Birthday flowers (pulls party/prty hehe popper and nabs cake while others are distracted)
I'm at work lou no relief unfortunately as standing and sitting causes the pain, worse so when moving though :( hot bath and massage tonight!

Emzlou15 · 04/09/2015 11:04

BIG congrats life! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy, good luck!

FX for you Lou!

Feel for you Prty, one of the reasons we're trying whilst we're still quite young is that I suffer from something called hypermobility which will make carrying a pregnancy hard work and I will have to have speacilist physiotherapy throughout just to make sure I don't get a hernia :S it puts me in pain all the time so I wouldn't know if I was have a PG symptom in my back. All your other symptoms sound good though FX for you! Try some heat like a hot water bottle or a wheat bag on your back.

Oooo Cake I'll happily nab a slice of you don't mind flowers! Big Happy Birthday to you, have a great day celebrating Grin

Lou13e · 04/09/2015 11:00

Huge congrats life, yippee to two bfps.

Prty - your back sounds rubbish, are you at work or can you have a nice soak in a hot bath?

Mrsflowers - happy birthday lovely and thanks for the cake Grin what are you doing to celebrate? X

PrtyPsn · 04/09/2015 10:50

Oh god... so much pain! My lower back feels all bruised... particularly the very bottom - like almost my bloody arse!! Hurst to sit, hurts to stand... I'm falling to pieces!!

Hooraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Life that is super fantastic news! Congratulations!

Hmmmm Prty I'm liking the churny belly symptom your having, for some reason I'm expecting good news from you soon! Must be a vibe!

Happy Friday ladies!

MummyBex1985 · 04/09/2015 09:59

I've heard of pre seed and I looked into it Smile

From what I've read (and I could be wrong!) you have to insert it prior to DTD and around OV. It sort of takes the spontaneity out of it for me. And I figure your body should basically do the same job around that time of the month anyway!

That said the reviews I've read seem to be positive. It's just no good for me, due to irregular cycles I never really know if/when I'm OV.

MrsFlowers82 · 04/09/2015 09:35

Wow! I stay away for a day and come back to a BFP! Congrats Life It’s actually my Birthday today so I came to hand out Cake – now there is even more to celebrate! [Cake] for everybody!

I treated myself to a Birthday present today…some cheapy OPKs. Up until this point I swore I wouldn’t go there but after feeling like this window has been wasted I want to make sure I am all over it next cycle! I also ordered some Preseed – has anyone here heard of/used it? It is supposed to create a more PH friendly environment for sperm, I thought this would be good as I don’t ever seem to get much EWCM??

One good thing from knowing we didn't DTD enough is that I would now be in the dreaded TWW. As it goes I now feel I can have a good drink tonight without making excuses, so not all bad!

Instead I will sit back and watch all your symptoms with FX for some more BFPs!
