Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

prty - sorry to hear the bitch has arrived, hope she buggers off quickly so you can get on with the next cycle, big hugs xx
pirsy - I would agree with disregarding the opks - I didn't get a positive this month and it stresses me right out.
Doctors this afternoon for blood results, didn't sleep well at all last night, oh well, I'll just have to be brave

MummyBex1985 · 08/09/2015 08:06

Hugs Prty

Pirsy1 · 08/09/2015 07:39

Hi ladies,

Congrats on the BFP Lou! This thread is producing lots of BFPs at the mo - it's brill!

I agree that you should POAS nestie - just so you know where you are.

I have decided to disregard the OPKs this month. Think I actually felt really stressed on the key day - the pressure got to me! I'm going to just go with the every other day strategy and see what happens. Will probably end up having a weird cycle where I don't ovulate now and I won't know where I am, but it's worth a try!

This TTC malarkey is a real roller coaster but I know we can all do it!

PrtyPsn · 08/09/2015 07:33

(shuffles onto thread in dressing gown and slippers, hair in general disarray)
(sticks face in jumbo tub of triple choc ice cream, doesn't come up for air until its empty)
Bitch is here... no, not me - AF :(

Lou big congrats on those strong BFPs!

Prty sorry to hear this, still FX for you that it's IB.

Neetie I would test but then I am already a POAS addict! Confused

As for me I had that tiny speck of blood on my pants on Sataurday, fully expected AF to show up the next morning but only had a very light brown smear whe wiping in the afternoon. Other than that there's been nothing else but creamy CM. So I don't have a clue what is going on. Been considering going to the Docs but I'm not sure what they could do? Plus as soon as I make an appt AF is bound to show up..!

Ellamorella · 07/09/2015 22:46

prty so sorry you're feeling low. Remember, it could still be an implantation bleed. Sending support and hugs!As Bex says, this TTC can be heartbreaking sometimes.

Lou HUGE congrats to you! What are your stats again? How long had you been trying? 1st or 2nd? Sorry I can't remember, this thread makes my mind a bit of a fishbowl, and I lose track of everyone's different times/dates.

Annie crossing my fingers for you too!!

shary sorry about your bloods muddle. I'm sure it's like you say, routine for the doc to see you to tell you the results, rather than the receptionist. That's what I would expect. I'm actually a bit scared to call and get the results of my blood tests. The first lot were fine apparently (the one they took before my period, and I'm waiting for the results of the one after my AF. I'll pluck up the courage this week I think, but I really would rather stay in the dark in a way, and TTC in a relaxed way still. I don't want it to get all medicalised if at all possible. But that's my hippy ways again I think. I totally get why you want to know.

neetie I would POAS stick. I'm the same as Aindy, I always POAS after my period, even if it's been a bit heavy, in the hope it's been a implant, or in case it might have been a miscarriage (not that I'm saying I think yours was!), but apparently an early miscarriage would show as a BFP for a week or so afetrwards... Who knew!

Night all, hope you all have AF free nights!!

SharyBobbins · 07/09/2015 21:39

Thank you ladies xxx

Think AF is on her way here too. Sore boobs which (I think) is usually a sign for me.

Hoping for a decent nights sleep tonight. I've been waking up in the early hours for over a week now which is quite unlike me...think I need wine!!

Annie2311 · 07/09/2015 21:03

aindy, your brilliant words about patience and hard work made me well up. God it's good to have such wise people to turn to on here! I include everyone in that btw! Thinking of you with your doc encounters shary and kitten- it's all for a good cause, it's just frustrating/scary in the mean time.

prty, our brilliant FOTF, I'm so sorry your body's mucking you about with all these mixed signals. I wish we just got a blue line on our foreheads when we got pg, much more straightforward. I'm going to have a word with Mother Nature.

Still crampy, with sore, itchy(?) boobs. If the last couple of cycles are anything to go by AF will arrive tomorrow morning. Feels highly likely at the mo, as apart from the itching it feels totally like a normal AF arrival. I'll soon know for sure which'll be a relief.

MrsKittenPie · 07/09/2015 20:50

shary I know it's easier to give advice than apply it to yourself, I'm exactly the same! Glad you're feeling better tonight about it. Thank you, I will let you know.
prty thank you, it really helps me having you all here x So sorry to hear of cm increase Sad, this ttcing is heartbreaking sometimes, big hugs for you, we're here for you xx

LittleAindy · 07/09/2015 20:18

Oh Prty Flowers I will continue to keep Fx regardless, but the hugs and triple-choc ice cream are also available on demand.

LittleAindy · 07/09/2015 20:13

Glad you're feeling more settled about it Shary. It's such an emotional rollercoaster. At the risk of sounding completely cheesy...all this patience and hard work will be worth it. Motherhood is the best challenge I've ever taken on. Yes, it has its ups and downs but you gain a best friend for life Smile I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Neetie - I agree. POAS to put your mind at ease. I just had a very light period. Although it was very unusual being so light and so long (with no PMS symptoms), it couldn't have really been anything but AF. Still PdOAS anyway and it made me feel conclusive and that I was back on track - if that makes sense??

PrtyPsn · 07/09/2015 20:03

aindy I only follow this thread so no idea, sorry x
shary glad you're feeling a little better about it all, OH's do have their uses sometimes :)
neetie tough call but if it's playing on your mind then I say test but with an open mind
kitten I'm sure it will all go fine, remember it's a positive step and we are all here for you x
A heap load more depression in the Prty household tonight - CM has increased so needing a pad now, also turning from brown to a more pink/red... with the BFN I've got to assume it's AF :(

SharyBobbins · 07/09/2015 19:18

Hi Kitten, I was one of those who reassured you that being called in to discuss the results with the GP was pretty standard. My doctor said to me when he booked the bloods "we'll talk again once they're in". I really should take my own advice and calm down! I'm much better at giving advice than taking it. Good luck for tomorrow, will you let us know how you get on?

Neetie maybe POAS just so you know for definite where you're at? If it's playing on your mind you might be best knowing for sure either way. Good luck!

MrsKittenPie · 07/09/2015 19:07

Hi all! Sorry I've been off here for a few days. Had a quick catch up, congrats on the bfps - this is a lucky thread!
neetie - how strange, our bodies do like to confuse us. It may be worth poas now, if nothing else it could put your mind at rest.
shary - big hugs, how bloody frustrating. I would feel exactly the same but please try not to be too stressed or upset. It may be scenario 1 and you've just got to see doctor as a follow up. I was really upset last week because my 21 blood results have a note on I've got to see doctor and a couple of ladies on here have said that that is normal practice after 21 day bloods.
My news is I go to doctor tomorrow for 21 blood results which I'm dreading.

SharyBobbins · 07/09/2015 19:00

Thanks everyone, spoke to my therapist OH when we got home from work and I'm now thinking a bit more rationally. 1) I'm grateful to have got the FBC and white cell count back and know it's normal as I guess that's a good indicator of general health 2) It's unlikely my results have been lost as two of them are already in the GP surgery (if they couldn't find any results I think I'd have more reason to worry 3) The results are probably with my GP or another GP waiting to be commented on as I'm pretty sure if/when you get them over the phone they come with the line 'probably did/didn't ovulate' 4) Realistically, even if my results were in there's nothing I could do with them if they indicated a problem as my GP is on holiday 5) Realistically, it's going to make no difference to my cycle this time around anyway.

Phew, feel better for working through that!

If they have gone missing I will be gutted though because I know 5 weeks isn't a long time to wait to have them done again but it feels like it when I've just spent 5 weeks waiting for the tests (pesky long cycles!) But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. My plan is to ring the surgery again on Wednesday and if they're still not available I'm going to ask them to contact the lab to see whether they've been sent to the surgery or if there is a delay at their end.

Thanks for listening ladies xx

neetie1 · 07/09/2015 18:56

Evening ladies..quick question and a what would you do kinda way..
Ok so as you know I had a weird three day not overly heavy period this month and was kinda freaked out by it so POAS and got a BFN, well next couple of days got a dark brown discharge and then nothing. Now feeling bloated, tight tummy, boobs feel kinds weird not achey but kind of sensitive but not all of the time...driving me nuts..
Not doing OPK this month so according to apps i either ovulate on 10th or 12th but if I look at previous OPK I ovulated before and after those apps said I would. DH is being very good at the mo, actually woke me up twice last night ;) so hoping he stays in a good mood for next few days to cover all bases. But not sure whether to leave it until next time am due and see if anything happens or POAS again now...

Stripes1983 · 07/09/2015 18:18

Yay another BFP - congrats lou !! It's like buses around here :)

shary sorry to hear you haven't been able to get your results -im sure they will be there, I know it must be frustrating and I'll no doubt be the same when I get mine done but try not to think the worst Hun

LittleAindy · 07/09/2015 17:29

On an unrelated note, does anyone else's MN keep unwatching random threads? I notice if I log out and log back in, I no longer receive updates via email. Not that it particularly matters, as I obsessively check up on this one anyway...

LittleAindy · 07/09/2015 17:21

Hahaha Prty imagine if it was that easy!! The term "grow a pair" would take on a whole new meaning!

Big hugs Shary, as Prty says, maybe nature will take its course if you have to wait, so don't let it put you off DTD in the mean time Smile

PrtyPsn · 07/09/2015 15:42

Deep breaths shary I'm sure it's a simple mix up or they are sat waiting at your docs, it will be five and if they have to retest then it's only 5 weeks - plenty of time to DTD and see if nature takes its course :) you might find you don't even need the results x
aindy bloody selfish men! How rude of them to not DTD exactly when we need them to! I reckon the future of the human race will depend on women producing both egg and sperm to self inseminate!!!

OP posts:
SharyBobbins · 07/09/2015 14:25

So my hormonal bloods are missing. Scenario 1) they've been sent back to my doctor who is off until next Monday. This means I won't get the results until next week at the earliest & being sent back to the GP probably means something bad as my 'all clear' results (FBC & white cell) went straight to reception (probably not rational but its my current, panicky train of thought) 2) the results are still at the lab & have been delayed. If they come in later in the week they'll be interpreted by another GP in the absence of mine 3) my results have been lost. If they're not in by the end of the week the surgery will ring the lab. She couldn't reassure me they wouldn't be destroyed in the mean time. If that happens its 5 weeks until I can be retested & I'll be fuming with them. Feel like crying!!! Sad I'm struggling to stay calm & not cry in work......

SharyBobbins · 07/09/2015 14:21

Congratulations Lou! Smile

LittleAindy · 07/09/2015 13:28

Yeaaahhhh! Well done Lou! Flowers

Prty you have clearly created a fertile thread! I reckon you're next!

BFPs please stick around and let us syphon your good luck!

Thanks to him not getting in until 6am Sunday morning, OH struggled last night, so unfortunately DTD was incomplete!! Today is my last fertile day according to Ovia, so unless he had some strong swimmers that stuck around from Thursday, I think I'm out this month Sad

MummyBex1985 · 07/09/2015 13:19

Blimey Lou they are VERY strong lines!! Congratulations Flowers
