Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

shary I think that's why I like it. A, it makes you feel like your doing a positive step to help B, it doesn't feel medicalised. And it's all about helping you feel positive! Could be good if you're feeling like that! I was really feeling like that last month. But after having a good chat with a friend, and reading that book - plus this board of course! - I am feeling more positive this cycle!

I do feel like I have to say that I realized after buying and liking the book, that I work for the publisher of the book!! But I promise you, I'm not some weird plant on this thread by the publisher. I just genuinely like the book :-)

SharyBobbins · 08/09/2015 21:54

Ella- you seem to really rate that book, I'm genuinely thinking of giving it a read. Far too often my mindset is negative, I'm fed up and feeling like it's never going to happen for me (I'm sure everyone else feels the same). Do you think it'll help? I need something to help me feel like I'm in control :(

Ellamorella · 08/09/2015 21:42

Oops! Long post again!!

Ellamorella · 08/09/2015 21:41

prty so sorry about the arrival of AF!! I agree with everyone, it calls for large quantities of your chosen comfort food/drink, and then power up for next month! We'll be your "bridge over troubled water"!!

kitten your GP sounds RUBBISH!! I'm sure she's not following NHS procedure!! You can actually look it up via PALS I think: www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/1082.aspx?CategoryID=68 and you can also make a complaint about your GP too!! You shouldn't have to put up with that sort of treatment! Grrrr!!

In my news, i'm around 10 DBAFD and have been doing my BBT this month. And looking at my chart this morning, I was worried my temp hasn't gone high enough to indicate ovulation! I'm hoping it will go up more tomorrow... But I'm trying to keep up the positive vibes and visualization from the book I'm reading (which I still highly recommend!! - The Baby Making Bible). Crap title, but a nice, positive book with great tips to give you positive, natural ideas and actions to help boost your fertility! You feel like you're taking things into your own hands, which feels empowering!

SharyBobbins · 08/09/2015 21:08

Urgh period pain!! OH just came over for a cuddle- told him to leave me alone for a bit because I'm too tetchy. I hate being a woman sometimes :(

Stripes1983 · 08/09/2015 20:31

kitten fx your other Dr is more understanding and sensitive - we're hormonal at the best of times without people like that !
AF is out of the way for me so back on DTD , trying to stay away from the OPKs this time though and try and be more calm! Had a bit of a rough day with my fur-baby ( dog) she had a seizure this morn and so that shook us both up as she has never had one before - fine now and spent the day next to me on the sofa! God knows how it must be with a baby I was crying over my dog !

Pirsy1 · 08/09/2015 20:14

Prty - sorry about AF ... I hope you've got a nice glass of wine tonight.

Kitten I think you should def try to go back and see your original doctor who sounds like they were much more understanding. I would have thought that if you are over 35 and have been trying for 14 months then they should be doing some tests / referring you. Maybe the first doctor can give some clarity on this. I think a lot depends on the GP that you happen to see and their experience in dealing with TTC stuff ... including personal experiences I'm sure.

MrsKittenPie · 08/09/2015 19:40

mummy - no I won't, men are rubbish like that, although I did remind him mid morning today!! Hmm
Thank you, you never know I suppose!

MummyBex1985 · 08/09/2015 19:29

Kitten I wouldn't take that personally, men don't think the same way that we do! Smile

Don't give up because of one stupid GP. Hopefully you'll find someone else more helpful and even if you don't, there's nothing to say you can't conceive naturally (eventually)!!

MrsKittenPie · 08/09/2015 19:24

Thank you for your kind words everyone - you've kept me sane today! Yes I will try and book in with the original doctor - I was supposed to be booked in with her anyway so I am not sure why I got stuck with the one who couldn't care less. What makes it slightly worse is dh has forgotten to ask me how it went even though I reminded him this morning that I was going to the doctors!! Men!!
Thank you again though for your words xx

PrtyPsn · 08/09/2015 19:17

Thanks all for your kind thoughts and chocolate... rough day here as you might expect
kitten sorry the docs was such a bust, sounds horrendous and incredibly rude.
shary glad those results were ok, FX'd for the next lot
annie my foof better damn listen to you cos it's ignoring me! Any sign of AF for you?

Congrats on the bfp Lou excellent news!

Prty sending hugs lovey, had such hopes for you this month. Chin up Mrs, get through it and power on through another cycle!

Kitten I absolutely wouldn't tolerate that! I would hound them until you get answers. How useless and unhelpful.

Sending chocolate and alcohol free beer to you all xxx

SharyBobbins · 08/09/2015 18:29

Kitten I'm absolutely fuming for you. What an ignorant piece of work!! They don't even sound like a qualified doctor to me- how can she "not really say" what the results mean? Sounds to me like they're not qualified to interpret them. Can you book in with the GP that referred you originally? Surely they care enough otherwise they wouldn't have ordered the bloods in the first place xx

LittleAindy · 08/09/2015 17:29

kitten that does sound horrendous. My experience of GPs so far is that unfortunately their attitudes on TTC vary so much. It's definitely worth going to see someone else. I even changed practice because I was so fed up with the poor bedside manner at my old one!

MrsKittenPie · 08/09/2015 17:25

I know mummy and stripes - it was pathetic. She said it was an area thing so any other doctors in my town would say the same. I feel like giving up to be honest, ttc is just stressing me out, was sat in doctors surrounded by pregnant women and a newborn and felt so sad, I don't want to feel like that any more. I've got my gorgeous ds and for some reason I can't have any more so I should enjoy my life as it is. It'll take me a while though I reckon to feel better but will of course keep an eye on you lovely lot getting your bfps!

Stripes1983 · 08/09/2015 17:17

prty so sorry the bitch is back ( fans chocolate bars like a pack of cards) lots of hugs xx
kitten that's rubbish :( can you go to a different drs ? Surely they can refer you as you have been trying for so long !?

MummyBex1985 · 08/09/2015 17:13

Jeez Kitten how unhelpful can you get - it doesn't even sound like they're following nhs guidelines!!

Can you go private or see another GP?

MrsKittenPie · 08/09/2015 17:05

Hi
Doctor was a waste of time, she said the other doctor shouldn't have ordered the tests as I am over 35 so I asked her what the results showed and she didn't have a clue what she was talking about and just said for any analysis I'd have to go private! I'd even have to pay private just to be told that everything normal. She said things looked normal but couldn't really say. Oh and I need to relax apparently FFS as that's all it will take and said we'd ONLY been trying 14 months!!

SharyBobbins · 08/09/2015 15:45

Oh Prty Sad hope you're okay xx
Kitten- how did you get on?
Got more blood results today but not the hormonal ones! On a positive my thyroid is fine & I'm not diabetic- didn't even know they were testing for that!! 11dpo now so fx that means my luteal phase is okay Smile

LifeIsGood14 · 08/09/2015 13:53

Congrats Lou!!! Flowers I've done nothing but look up what my tiny baby is doing. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and have my first initial app with midwife. All the best xx

Ow prty that's so rubbish. :-( hope next month is your month Hun. Big hugs xx

Lou13e · 08/09/2015 13:42

Aww prty, here have this huge tub of Ben and jerrys, hugs to you, hope she buggers off quickly then it's time to try again, we will all get there, I'm sure of it.

Ella - thank you Hun, know what you mean about stats this thread is hard to keep up with. I'm 31, was very lucky to conceieve on 2nd month of trying, came off pill at end of June but took a while to settle back into cycle. I'm 4 weeks and 2 days so very early on yet. My main symptoms before positive test were: sensitive to smells, went off coffee big time and white creamy cm. I used opk sticks which I found helped me but everyone is different, good luck everyone. X

MummyBex1985 · 08/09/2015 13:13

Aindy I really need to put parental locks on googling PG symptoms lol.

DBAFD... Hmm, somewhere between 2 and 12 days lol. No symptoms so will try and hold off testing. I've cut down on booze dramatically (no booze in the week) so even if I was miraculously PG then hopefully no harm would be done by waiting an extra couple of weeks to find out.

How's everyone else doing today?

LittleAindy · 08/09/2015 11:41

Hands obligatory September brownie (and 5 more) to Prty, along with fluffy slippers, duvet and Netflix login.

I have entered the 2.5WWOH. Cray cray foof has already got me believing I have that metallic taste! I do remember getting this the two cycles previous right after ov'ing, so I'm taking it as a +ve sign that I've Ov'd and NOTHING else. I have banned myself from Google, and made MN my homepage!

(sits on hands)

MrsKittenPie · 08/09/2015 08:47

Thanks annieSmile

Annie2311 · 08/09/2015 08:42

(Replaces prty's empty tub of ice cream with a full one and shouts 'Sort it out mate- no more mixed messages please' at prty's foof.)

Good luck with results today kitten.
