Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

The bitch is back!! Thought a two day AF was too good to be true!! Confused

Pirsy1 · 13/09/2015 12:43

Hi Shary, yes she knows, I told her during one of my meltdowns. My sister knows as well, although I wish I hadn't told her as I think I have probably made her anxious for when she comes to TTC.

I'm on CD9 today. Not doing OPKs this month as they were sending me crazy. DH is going on stag do on Friday and then back on Monday. Managed to have sex today, then am thinking try for Weds, Thurs and Fri morning. Don't know what's for the best really.

My AFs seem to be the same. I think it's gone and have nothing for a whole day, and then the next day get some weird brown spotting.

Bex I don't think you're out yet this month, you never know. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

SharyBobbins · 13/09/2015 12:09

Thanks for sharing ladies, as if we don't have enough to contend with ttc- we all have unpredictable nutty AF's too!

Pirsy your mum sounds a wise lady. Does she know you're ttc?

How are you feeling today Prty?

Pirsy1 · 13/09/2015 11:49

Just catching up on the thread.

Really feel for you Prty, good on your DH for getting you out of there.

I also do not understand how people get pregnant accidently! I used to think it was possible until I started trying myself, and now I know the truth about how hard it is. We have been to a few weddings recently and I just wait for the pregnancy announcement 3 months later. My mum said to me that that's just the people you hear about though and that lots of people have fertility problems ... you just don't hear about it. I guess she is right.

LittleAindy · 13/09/2015 11:27

Aww Neetie that's so sweet! What a lovely feeling.

Bex could it be?? Have you ever had AF symptoms this many days before she shows? Mine is usually the day/evening before then at its worst on the first two days once she arrives.

LittleAindy · 13/09/2015 11:24

Morning all, how is everyone's weekend?

Shary that was similar to my last AF. No bleeding during the night, each morning I thought she'd gone, but slowly dripped out during the day (more brown than red), and lasted about 10 days! Never had an AF like it before. Part of me wonders if I maybe didn't ovulate last cycle, as I certainly didn't shed enough to call it a lining!

Too early for luetal phase spotting, but I've had some serious ovulation symptoms to spot over this weekend. EWCM, light cramps, hot flushes, nausea, a +ve OPK yesterday and a lighter but still strong result today. Feeling very positive because even if we don't conceive this cycle, at least I feel confident that it's getting back to normal down there!

Any Pg symptoms for our TWWers out there?

MummyBex1985 · 13/09/2015 11:23

Shary my AF and cycles have been different every month so far! Rubbish isn't it.

On my third day of AF type pain and PMT symptoms but she hasn't reared her ugly head yet, wish she'd hurry up so I can crack on with next month! Sad

Stripes1983 · 13/09/2015 10:05

Morning ladies , shary I've been off the pill for a year and half and up until we started TTC mine followed a pretty regular pattern but 1st Month of not using anything and they went weird and anything goes now - think it's just to add to the craziness !

SharyBobbins · 13/09/2015 09:58

Aww Neetie you sound very loved up!

Ladies, can I ask you a question? Have any of you noticed that you AF has changed pattern in the months after coming off contraception? I finished the pill in January & had periods where I bled for around 6/7 days, getting lighter as the week went on. AF arrived on Thurs & it seemed heavier than usual- the same on Friday. When I woke up Saturday morning I'd had no bleeding through the night & the same again today. Just a little bit of brown discharge during the day yesterday. I'm sure this happened last month too? Is it just me?!

neetie1 · 13/09/2015 09:33

I am totally loving my man at the mo, yes he held out for ten years before saying yes but..now he is all on board and well into the baby making lol
He is away in China when af is due so asked him if he wanted to know before or after he got back if I got a BFP and he said before :)

MummyBex1985 · 12/09/2015 22:06

(Grabs merlot and washes down with a prosecco chaser)

Apparently it was a wedding night baby so there may be some truth to it. Bah.

Anyway had to LOL at your OH and his "deposits" lol. Bless the men! Wink

LittleAindy · 12/09/2015 21:31

Bex don't worry it's all lies. I am extremely skepitcal about all these miraculous conceptions. (At least that's what I tell myself to make me feel better)

Sorry about potential AF. (slides over large Merlot) You know where to find the gingerbitches. Fx'd just in case.

Told OH about +ve OPK, he said "So what does that mean? Do you need another deposit?" LOL! Grin

MummyBex1985 · 12/09/2015 20:54

Prty that's awful, I'm really sorry.

Last night I met up with a friend who told me that a mutual acquaintance was PG - she came off the pill and conceived on her first try. Not even first month - FIRST FUCKING TIME having unprotected sex.

Currently have PMT and cramps from hell. Another month out and feeling crappier than I thought I would. Sad

Still I suppose it's not over til the bitch makes her inevitable appearance.

Ellamorella · 12/09/2015 19:45

Ooh! Hope you enjoy it Neetie!! I'm beginning to feel a responsibility for this book! I hope you guys find it helpful. It's been great for me!

Prty I'm SO sorry, you must have found that really hard! Your time will come!!

I forgot to say to you all, but I had yesterday off work, and spent the morning researching acupuncturists. And I've booked myself an appt for next Friday! I spoke to the woman who's doing it for about half an hour, went through all my background, and she sounds really nice! It's not going to be cheap, but I'll just do it for 2-3 cycles I think. And I'm looking forward to it anyway, regardless of baby making, as it's something I've wanted to try for a while for relaxation! I'll keep you all posted! X

neetie1 · 12/09/2015 19:32

Ah prty that sucks... I also had a baby announcement from a friend, couldn't be annoyed though she has had an awful time , ectopic and loads of other probs etc

Aside from that sneaked in a quick DTD this afternoon...in the dining room (curtains closed obviously) so extra baby juice we hope lol

Oh and my finger kinda clicked when I was on Amazon and I seem to have bought the kindle version of Baby Making Bible :)

MrsFlowers82 · 12/09/2015 19:20

Hello all, just checking in after a busy week of work and property valuations.

Prty I'm so sorry you had to go through that today. I burst into tears at yet another Facebook announcement the other day so I am impressed with your strength. If not the chocolate then treat yourself to something else tonight - a nice bath, face mask etc. Your OH sounds awesome so even just cuddles and film with him.

Hope everyone else is OK. Sorry for not following, will read back properly tomorrow xxx

Stripes1983 · 12/09/2015 18:43

Oh prty hunni I'm so sorry that must have been really tough for you , sending massive hugs and hamper of chocolate xxx

PrtyPsn · 12/09/2015 18:12

There's always chocolate in my house!! Not in the mood to eat anything though... hoping it passes

OP posts:
SharyBobbins · 12/09/2015 18:09

Have you got any chocolate/cake/ice cream (or all three) in the house Prty?

My family are good and don't mention having kids to me because I think they feel a) it's not really their business b) they don't want to put me under pressure. OH's family have stopped asking me because they've begun to assume I don't want any because I've played it down so much and because every time they try and get me to hold a baby I freeze...

PrtyPsn · 12/09/2015 18:00

I was so tempted to crack open a bottle of expensive whisky tonight but I've done so well keeping off booze that I don't wanna let myself down :(
No shary my family gave up with those comments years ago, they have no expectations of me to procreate

OP posts:
SharyBobbins · 12/09/2015 17:33

Well done Mr Prty!
I feel gutted for you Prty, spoil yourself tonight.
Have you been getting any "when are you having kids" questions from your family? If so the only consolation is it might distract them for a bit and take the pressure off you?

PrtyPsn · 12/09/2015 17:20

I'm the same aindy if you're not using protection then by default you are trying cos you know the risks!
Only about 30 minutes shary OH could tell I was struggling and faked a phone call from his office that meant we had to immediately leave, he's a good 'un

OP posts:
SharyBobbins · 12/09/2015 17:14

Oh Prty I'm sorry :( That must have been really hard to sit through. How long were you stuck there for?

I wish people would just announce pregnancy via text instead of through family gatherings/meeting!!

LittleAindy · 12/09/2015 16:26

Oh Prty that truly sucks (no offence to your brother).

I'm not sure if I believe people who "aren't trying". Either you're using contraception, or you're not. If you're not, you must be aware that you can get preggo. If you are and it fails for whatever reason, then that's a different story.

Just think, when it is your turn, you will be the latest and most exciting news. Flowers

PrtyPsn · 12/09/2015 15:50

It was :(
My brother and his new girlfriend, only been together a few months, wasn't trying.
Was really hard to see my family being excited for them, sounds selfish but they should be feeling that for me, not a stranger.
