Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Thanks ladies, even a virtual hug makes me feel better! So good to have listening ears!

Prty we attempted on Saturday morning but my foof didn't want to play ball, so last successful deposit (lol) was on Tuesday morning, so I haven't got high hopes. Maybe the pressure is just getting to both of us?? Oh and I totally get you about anything other than DTD feeling like a waste if time!!

Pirsy yeah it was so awkward. Normally we are very tactile, cuddly, attentive to each other, very 50/50, and it only takes a quick suggestive glance to get things going! We are very loving and close, even after 12 years. Last night was just depressing and mechanical, no kissing, foreplay, passion and I certainly don't think there was any enjoyment from either of us Sad.

I think you're right about a chat. We are good at that. I won't mention any specifics but just suggest that we go back to just enjoying ourselves whenever the mood takes us, which doesn't always have to result in deposits!!

Maybe a break from it all would be wise anyway, as my current or next cycle's due date would be very close to DS birthday, and I wouldn't want to be to tired/preoccupied to celebrate it properly. That may sound like a crazy reason but he is my whole world and I want the experience of being a big brother to be very positive from the start.

Thanks Bex I set my alarm for an hour later so we didn't have to have an awkward morning together. He gets back late tonight so I will have had plenty of time to calm down. I've already had a text asking me if I'm ok...

Yeah, Facebook is just a complete cesspit. I probably only have about 5 friends whose lives and children I am genuinely interested in keeping up with!

Time to crack on with work I suppose and stay distracted. This is making me too tearful and my office manager will be back in half an hour!

hands out fat free muffins to all for breakfast

PrtyPsn · 14/09/2015 08:45

Hi sunny err probably a bit early for hot chocolate... (tentatively holds out a decaf coffee)
You're very welcome in our gang of cray cray-ness lol! I literally feel like everyone is pg just lately and every time I try to buy a test places are sold out!! What's going on?!
pirsy I'm with you in the Facebook deactivaters group! With all the childish bickering and constant pregnancy announcements, scan pictures and basically nosy bastsrds I've decided it's just not worth it. Will permenabtly close mine once I get a chance to back up all my photos and videos etc to be honest, it took a good week before anyone even noticed I'd disappeared... maybe I just need better friends pahahaha

Aindy your OH can officially join the sperm hogging idiot club.

I'm sorry he's being an ass Flowers FWIW, I'd be paranoid too.

Pirsy1 · 14/09/2015 08:31

Welcome SunnyScot!

Sending hugs Aindy. This TTC stuff is hard enough without sperm strikes! I do feel that a lot of the onus is on us women (unfairly) and I'm not sure why really because trying for a baby is a joint decision. I certainly feel anxious around my fertile period in case DH doesn't want to DTD ... and there's something not very nice if you have to say 'please can we DTD, we have to do it today, please' I guess it's not very romantic. Maybe you should have an honest chat with him about finding TTC stressful?

I deactivated my Facebook account when I was in a bad spot. It was a good thing to do.

SunnyScot89 · 14/09/2015 08:15

Can I join the bus???
I'm a bit of a lurker but needing some cheering up.
TTC#1 on cycle #3. Think I'm now on my TWW after being off on holiday last week DTD lots!!!

Everyone around me seems to be pregnant, and someone who always said they weren't bothered about kids has just announced she is due. Just needing a bit of a hug and some positive vibes.

PrtyPsn · 14/09/2015 07:18

Oh aindy (squeezes you in a massive hug until your eyes bulge)
That's really, really, really crappy, my lovely.
You're a strong woman though (that would have caused a huge argument in our house) and you've DTD within the last few days, right? Remember sperm can live a few days in the right conditions x
Slightly related but I was thinking the other day how our sex life as changed... before TTC we wouldn't always DTD when feeling frisky, sometimes... ahem... other things would be enough - now I feel like anything but DTD is a waste, regardless of cycle time. Wondered if this is a similar thing for you and OH aindy? I might mix it up a bit and go back to other methods during TWW

So of course with not sleeping, I casually open up Facebook for a bit of entertainment only to see 5 posts in a row of bumps, babies and scan pics. FML.

Kitten I know exactly what you mean, I don't feel like I can keep this up for many more cycles.

LittleAindy · 14/09/2015 00:25

So I think it was a big mistake telling OH about +ve test....mega sperm strike here.

I don't know whether he just couldn't help himself, he didn't think that it would matter, or he's getting cold feet and deliberately tried to sabotage my fertile window, but I know that he masturbated this morning whilst I was busy with DS (didn't do a great job of hiding the evidence). I didn't say anything because nothing productive would have come out of that conversation. I just thought let's see what happens tonight...

Sure enough, he failed to complete DTD Sad I could tell he wasn't in the mood, right from the beginning. And last night he stayed up much later than usual and fell straight asleep before I could even suggest DTD. Again, I don't know if he was deliberately delaying going to bed so that we would be too tired, or if I'm being completely paranoid.

For the record, I don't apply any pressure about getting Pg. We are very open with each other and casually chat about TTC. I only reveal the full cray on here, so that it doesn't spill out in real life!

He apologised for tonight. Blaming it on being tired and dehydrated (we were in bed by 9pm!), so he clearly doesn't want to admit to what he did earlier. This is what makes me think no good will come of calling him out in it. Also I really don't want a massive blow out and risk putting him off TTC altogether. Especially if I am just being paranoid and it's just a massive case of poor timing!

Not looking for a solution just really needed to let it out because I can't sleep and I feel really really low. If anyone's got a spare pocketful of chocolate positivity, I'd be mega grateful because I'm all out!

Peace out (sorry for the Monday morning blues!)

MrsKittenPie · 13/09/2015 21:30

moo - I've done that before, get what you need then resume the argument Grin
prty - glad you don't have to be around your family for a bit, I know exactly how you're feeling.
Thanks stripes - I think I'm going to go with it being a light period too. I've spent a fortune on tests so I know I'm not. I'm not going to bother with opks this month, tbh the way I'm feeling at the moment I feel like not bothering with ttc either - why is it so damn difficult? I'm becoming quite bitter about it all now, which I really didn't want but it's just not fair that people get pregnant so easy all the bloody time

Stripes1983 · 13/09/2015 21:18

kitten I had a really similar experience back when we first started TTC ( seems so long ago!) and I counted it as a period after I'd done a bizillion HPTs and it matched with my dates when my next AF came prty ( burns tongue on hot chocolate in haste to drink it) let's hope she doesn't rub your face in it , so much worse when it seems to be so easy for some people , sure Mr Prty is giving plenty of cuddles but big hugs flying your way xx

PrtyPsn · 13/09/2015 21:04

Haha no less pissed off moo but at least I don't have to be around the family for a few days... just hope it doesn't become the only topic of conversation when we get together!!

OP posts:
themoo · 13/09/2015 20:59

That was sposed to be a winky face not question marks!
Hello Prty, hope you're feeling a bit less off-pissed x

themoo · 13/09/2015 20:58

Kitten I did think about that. I've had a word with myself and I'm going to be all nice until I get my shag (honestly moo, you horrible girl), after which I shall resume arguing ??

PrtyPsn · 13/09/2015 20:55

(strolls into thread, casually handing out mugs of hot chocolate)
Hi all.
I've caught up with the thread after some down time yesterday and today thanks to the bloody announcement. Thanks all for your kind thoughts and wishes, at the minute I'm just trying not to think about it.
Can't remember who asked/said what but here's some answers!
Since I stopped taking contraception I've found AF is quicker and in some ways lighter - gone from 5-6 days with 2-3 heavy days to now 4 days with 1 or 2 heavy days... of course that's on the months when my foof isn't messing around!
Bought ella's book on eBay pahahaha
Totally agree with making use of the old kitchen!!

OP posts:
themoo · 13/09/2015 20:54

snort good idea shary I might try that lol

SharyBobbins · 13/09/2015 20:18

Moo maybe suggest to OH that you make the most of the old kitchen before you get your new one Wink! Surely no man will refuse an offer like that!

MrsKittenPie · 13/09/2015 20:13

Grin mummy - it's a puzzler isn't it?!! Yes I've taken a few tests but all bfns so I have no idea! Definitely crazy foofs here then!
moo - Mr kitten is always oblivious to how much pregnancy announcements upset me, they have no idea what we go through. We always seem to argue around ovulation time too which drives me mad! Maybe just agree to disagree for now so you don't miss out?
prty - sorry to hear you went through that announcement too, must have been awful xx

themoo · 13/09/2015 19:58

Hi girls.
Prty, hugs for you. Feeling your pain, the last family pg announcement we had was unexpected at a family Xmas meal in a restaurant. They announced at the pre-dinner drinks stage and it was all I could do not to cry. Had to get through the whole thing just wishing we were at home. Mr moo was pretty much oblivious to my pain, the big eejit.
Anyway, ovulation day today and we've just had a massive argument about our new kitchen design sigh so it's not looking good for a bit of nookie :(

MummyBex1985 · 13/09/2015 19:53

Thanks Ella - all cramping stopped as of 5 hours ago and back to clear CM. Damn crazy foof!

Kitten did you take a HPT? If you did and it was negative then I'd treat it as a new cycle. But it could be implantation bleeding... Or even a chemical PG... So you might not be in a new cycle after all?

Sorry to be of NO help whatsoever but I'm left scratching my head pretty much every month!! Grin

MrsKittenPie · 13/09/2015 19:42

Hi everyone!
Hope you've all had good weekends - I have, always go far too fast though!
Does anyone know if you have an annovalatory cycle your period will be really light? Sorry if tmi but I'm either 7 days late for af with a bit of spotting or I've had my af but it was ridiculously light - only when wiping Blush for a few days . It's stopped now and I've no clue whether I'm into a new cycle or not Confused.

Ellamorella · 13/09/2015 17:55

Hi all! Hope you've all had good weekends!

I thought that AF was making an early appearance this morning, as I had a tiny amount of brown spotting after wiping. Was a bit freaked as it would have meant a 21 day cycle, but I think it was just early spotting. That's what I had last month too. Although it was more pink last cycle. So to answer your question Shary, AF is a bit all over the place with me too. I wonder for me, wheter it's really light in the beginning because of the anticipation of waiting for it to come. Kind of stress related. Although this month I've been trying to be much calmer about it. I actually am feeling calm about it, plus, I know it would be a bit of a miracle if I was, as we only managed to DTD once during my fertile window because of the trip to Canada. So it's quite nice not to have that big anticipation. Although kind of trying to keep an open positive mind about it. And excited for next cycle, too.

Bex I hope your waiting is over soon, hopefuly with a BFP, but itf not, then over quickly, so you can get back on to next cycle!

Prty, I hope you've managed to have a good weekend, and at least get some R&R and recharge yourself for next cycle, so you can get back to it, with all guns blazing!

Neetie sounds good that the trying is bringing you both closer!

MummyBex1985 · 13/09/2015 17:44

Hahaha! Reckon they're meeting in secret to forge evil plots against us?!

LittleAindy · 13/09/2015 17:00

Our cray cray foofs are in a conspiracy gang.

MummyBex1985 · 13/09/2015 15:11

Oh and shary last AF I had a two day light bleed, nothing for a day then light bleeding for four days. Stupid AFs that can't make up their minds!

MummyBex1985 · 13/09/2015 15:11

Aindy I usually so get the symptoms a day or two before AF is due so it's not out of the ordinary. Unfortunately it's definitely AF type cramping rather than what you'd expect during PG, plus I've had zero CM for days which is a sure sign.

I'm past the wishful thinking stage I think, now more in the bitter and jaded "just hurry the hell up will you!!" stage lol.
