Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Hi well good news didn't miss this month just got flashy smiley face yay ??

themoo · 02/10/2015 23:15

If you have cold feet you have to bring a hot water bottle though. Thems the rules.

themoo · 02/10/2015 23:12

Oi birds!
Can't believe I've not been around for days - just busy. Work, life, knocking walls down. As you do.
AF came and went, being a right pain in the bum as usual. Now on the countdown to ovulation but not really feeling sexy at the moment.
Who's up for big fluffy dressing gown, book, bed, maltesers and big long sleeps with me?
pulls back covers and invites you all in

Stripes1983 · 02/10/2015 20:59

Oh and I'm designated taxi tomorrow as OH is out on a stag do so no need to worry about drinking anyway which takes the pressure of testing for me!

Stripes1983 · 02/10/2015 20:57

Fx for tomorrow then pirsy I think I'm going to hold off testing as pretty sure I'm going to come on by Sunday by the signs , I was so emotionally at work yesterday I almost cried when someone ( a male might I add) asked if I was ok !

neetie1 · 02/10/2015 20:40

I had a month off opk last month and convinced myself I was pg. Not sure about this month depends if I start getting flashy smiley on kit or if I really have missed it this time

Stripes1983 · 02/10/2015 19:59

I've given up as well prty for the same reason, actually felt better not doing it this month. Got a drs appt next Friday to talk about my blood results as all the nurse over the phone could tell me was they were "fine" ! Haha neetie getting a double dose :) fx you have managed to catch :)

MrsKittenPie · 02/10/2015 19:03

neetie - glad your dh is back, fingers crossed for your ovulation this weekend!
pirsy - yes don't do the flat battery thing again!
Hope everyone is okay? Have we got some poas-ers tomorrow then? I don't know what's happening with me, af not showed up yet, just some strange brown spotting, wish it would make a start properly instead of messing me about like this, I want to get started on the next cycle

Pirsy1 · 02/10/2015 18:17

Neetie I meant to say you must be so happy to have your DH back! Fx you will be ovulating this weekend!

I am going to collect mine tonight - he's been on another course, hopefully we won't have a repeat of Tuesday's flat battery disaster.

Pirsy1 · 02/10/2015 18:14

Hi Rose. We also used to only DTD at weekends and did for the first year of trying because I was working away during the week - I did not get pregnant. We have been trying EOD as much as poss - well really when I think I'm fertile - but it is exhausting!

Stripes - I think I am in the same boat as you. Just waiting for AF. Am going to test tomorrow morning if nothing by then. Starting to feel pre-menstrual this afternoon so think I'm in for disappointment. Have to know either way tomorrow though because I'm going to my parents and want to have a glass of wine!

Prty - I gave up on OPKs too - made me too stressed!

neetie1 · 02/10/2015 17:45

Hi all, well OH is back and we had managed twice within an hour and getting dressed in between so glad he is home.
Of course we may have missed this month if that opk was correct the other day but it did seem very early, still no a positive test on the new adaptor I'm trying.

PrtyPsn · 02/10/2015 17:38

Given up stripes just get frustrated at the lack of positives :( if I'm feeling frisky then I'll maybe do the odd one but find them pretty useless

Stripes1983 · 02/10/2015 17:09

I can only manage every 3 days consistently , we used to be kind of the same as you rose , generally on a weekend and only once in a weekday if at all! Still not signs of AF but everything is pointing towards is so expecting an appearance soon ! prty are you still using OPKs or you given up with them?

PrtyPsn · 02/10/2015 14:36

I see rose well, every third day isn't bad :) even I got sick of DTD this fertile window!!
I've avoiding temping thus far, both because of my lack of solid sleep and the fact I know I'll get super obsessed with it!!

OP posts:
BittersweetRose · 02/10/2015 13:53

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Prty - we only really DTD at the weekend before, so not terribly effective. Especially as it didn't always finish in the "right" place for TTC. We've managed a few evenings so far, which has averaged to every third day or so, which I'm trying to see as good.

I'm temping, just to give me some illusion of doing something, but it's not really changed much yet, so I'm hoping that means I've not missed any key days? There wasn't even a change between pre- and post-coil-removal, which I had expect to see.

Congrats on the job stripes and FX that even more good news is just around the corner for you Smile

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 02/10/2015 09:21

Hi rose - I really sympathise: I'm generally an incredibly anxious person and I'm finding the lack of control that comes with TTC very hard.

Another Low day on the fertility monitor. I had a High on the same CD last month. My temps also seem very low this month. More stuff to worry needlessly about.

Stripes1983 · 01/10/2015 19:51

Yes I did pirsy and I got the job! Ended up having to ask the neighbour for a hammer to break my window to get in! Always think i got the job as that distracted me from getting nervous! And yep know what you mean about hoping, I'm sure AF is going to arrive any day but can't help my mind running away with me! prty that sounds good then ! And welcome rose !!

neetie1 · 01/10/2015 19:46

Urgh used to feel bloated just before/during af now I seem to feel bloated all the time :(
On the plus side DH is now flying home :)

PrtyPsn · 01/10/2015 18:24

Why does autocorrect hate me?! Tis the bane of my life!!
Competitive nature can be a dangerous thing - that was the original line!!

Hi rose (waves frantically at such a lovely newbie)
You are more than welcome here, take a seat, grab a chocolate bar (plumps up a cushion and hastily tidied up sweet wrappers)
From reading your post perhaps DH means you will just carry on as normal re: DTD, but minus coil and if nothing happens then start cycle tracking etc might be why he's not really in the EOD frame of mind?
Competitive nature can be a da hero is thing, it's hard to judge someone by your own standards and things will happen when they happen - trust us, there's no magical formula!

BittersweetRose · 01/10/2015 18:07

Hi there! Can I join in?

I'm not sure I'm a crazy symptom spotter, but I'm definitely crazy... I have depression and anxiety, so this TTC thing is really making me nuts.

DH and I married in August, but couldn't start TTC until the anti-malarials we had for our honeymoon were out of our system. I had my Mirina coil removed a week ago and I'm already in total melt down. I haven't had a period in 6 years thanks to the implant and then the coil, so have no idea if/when I'll be fertile... Had a bleed last week for a few days which could have been AF, but was probably just a removal bleed. Took it as AF as good chance I'm in a new cycle.

DH is all 'we'll really start trying if nothing by Xmas!' I think by that me means OPKs etc? Not really sure. Trying to get him to DTD EOD, but not reacting well when turned down...

To make matters worse, his friend married 6 weeks before us, and his wife got PG on their wedding night. There's a huge competitive vibe between all DH's friends partners, and so I'm really not looking forward to navigating the alcohol issue at the Halloween party if I've no BFP by then...

Made a rule not to POAS until the weekend after my b'day (25 Oct - assuming AF hasn't shown up) so I'm trying to wait out until 25 Oct and stay calm. I'm completely failing.

Hope it's ok that I'm so early on - I just need someone to talk to as I've no one IRL.

So yeah. Hi?

Pirsy1 · 01/10/2015 08:39

Sounds exciting Sunny! I am also planning on testing on Saturday if AF not arrived. Was very tempted to POAS this morning but managed to resist. Crampy pains I had before have gone and just feel 'normal'. I'm sort of getting a little bit excited, even though I know deep down that I shouldn't and that it'll be either BFN on Sat or AF will come, but you always have that little bit of hope don't you?!

Stripes that sounds like a real nightmare - did you make it to the interview?

PrtyPsn · 01/10/2015 08:14

Good to hear neetie :)
Thanks stripes been Googling like a woman possessed very calmly educating myself and turns out you can have an oestrogen surge around 3-4dpo to help with uterus lining which can result in EWCM so thinking it's maybe that

neetie1 · 01/10/2015 06:00

Panic over had to buy some more opk this month and with it came a new applicator thing. Tested again today and clear circle

Stripes1983 · 01/10/2015 00:24

Fx prty that it was just some random CM !
