So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Feel like I'm back in GCSE science!
I do know the details for my local EPU but I've not really had a positive test, I still think they are evaps. If they were faint positives and I'm spotting now (had to put a pad on though so a but heavier) then I know what you're thinking, there's nothing they could do anyway. No pain or clots, just red blood, not massively bright but it's def not old brown stuff. Boobs hurt less today, more tender than sore

You know, Prty that's actually not a half bad idea. Like a proper Science experiment! If you've got enough cheapies, dip one in water, one in your pee and one in his. Put them side by side and see what happens.

I think you getting a line on 3 tests is unlikely to be a coincidence.

On a more serious note, have you got an early pregnancy unit number you can call? The NHS website will find the nearest one to you. I suggest this because you've bled, got positives and have started spotting again. Just give them a call and see what they say. Just to be cautious Smile

In other news, someone slap me and keep me away from tests!! Did another cheapie dip strip type one (so three different brands now) same thing happened, a really faint almost colourless line within the allotted time that seems to get a hint of colour after the testing time is up. It was weaker than yesterday's though.
Tempted to get a twin pack and have OH POAS at the same time then watch them both side by side to try and rule out evaps!! I'm totally past cray cray now, ladies!!

Urgh woke up feeling yukk, kinda feels like mild cramping and feel quite sick :( did a quick swab with cotton bud and it's creamy/browny ish so getting on the mind set that this month may not be the one :( but will see

I'm 6 weeks pg now.. I use to think the 2ww was long but this is another level of long!

Bex when did you come off contraception? It took over a year with the pill 1st time and now after the injection for my periods to return and settle.

I guess when you don't need pads at all and it's just blood on wiping that there might be a problem though Confused

Never thought I'd be wishing for AF to be heavier!!

Generally spotting doesn't require a pad, it's just when you wipe but then I've had heavier spotting where there's been a small amount on a pad but not enough to be AF.
I always think if you need to change your pad within four hours (because it's full, not just for hygiene obvs!) then it's AF. Not sure if this is useful or not... everyone's different

Quick question (sorry for the slight TMI).

How do you tell the difference between AF and spotting?!

Basically I had one day where AF was light to medium. Since then, I haven't needed to use anything at all - it's just so light. Same last month too. Next to nothing at all but over about five days.

Would you be concerned about that? I've been constantly on BC for over ten years so I've forgotten what a normal AF is like...

Stupid question Im sure but I'm trying to gauge whether things are going back to normal or whether there are still hormones in my system screwing it up. No positive OPK yet either and its concerning me a bit.

I've not been feeling well at all these last 3 days of period. Really aching and tired. I can't wait for this one to be over. By tomorrow I should be pretty much at the end. I'm going to have a seriously lazy day tomorrow, and see if I can shake this thing off, if it is an illness and not period fatigue! Hope all the rest of you are doing well! X

No new symptoms day 22 now. Still bloated and feeling tight. No cramping or spotting as yet.

pirsy I don't think it's from this cycle, only CD12, DTD CD8, boob soreness started next day, shortest cycle I've ever had is 27 days, would be very surprised if I ov'd before CD14...
shary I've OPK before, never got a positive and I got a bit obsessed/upset about the whole thing. Thought about temping but concerned re:obsession plus I rarely get more than 2 hours unbroken sleep
ella I say go for the promotion, pg shouldnt hold you back

Morning ladies! Prty I can't offer any words of wisdom about your foof I'm afraid, I'm as confused as you are! FX its a BFP but if not would you consider OPKs/temping next cycle so you can pinpoint ovulation?
Ella don't hold back on that promotion! When you get your BFP hopefully your company will be supportive (& it might mean better maternity pay!).
Nowt to report here, CD10 so its a good few weeks before any signs from me. DTD for FUN this morning! Shock Still temping & going to start back on my OPKs again today Smile

Also Prty just thought I did some first response tests last cycle and I don't ever remember seeing an evap on them which also makes me think it's not that.

Ella I def think you should go for the promotion. No one knows what the future holds - you deserve it and you should have it! The acupuncture sounds brill, one of the girls I work with had IVF and she was saying how great it was. I am considering it - if only to help me relax!

Prty I am looking at dates. As you say the date of your period fits with when you ovulated. I think it is possible you have ovulated early this cycle and this is an early BFP - would explain why the line is feint. Fingers crossed!

An update from my side. DH has gone to Galway for a stag do this weekend. Not sure when I'm ovulating this month (if at all) but looking at previous months think should have been around Thurs/Fri. Managed to DTD on Thurs. Have had some pains like a stitch in the my left pelvis last night. Not really sure if it's ovulation or constipation though! I treated myself to some conceive plus ready for next cycle - can't believe how expensive it is and not really sure I believe it will make a difference but I am getting desperate!

aindy nothing from me at all the last few days , if I ovulated last cycle it was a lot later than planned and don't feel like I've had any ov symptoms either yet ! Ah well !
ella if it's a promotion you would want then I'd say go with the flow, hopefully you will get your BFP soon but I decided I wasn't going to put my life on hold waiting! My friend was in a similar predicament and ended up getting a new job ( same company) and then fell pg but had been trying for over a year, but at least she has had a few months experience of the role

ella what I suspected was IB was 4th Sept for a day or so then nothing, what I think was AF started 8th Sept, lasted 5 days including spotting days with 1 day heavy and 1 day medium.
Think I ov'd somewhere around 24th Sept, last DTD after that time was 27th Sept (before was 20th and 22nd) this is all based on my app though, CM puts ov a few days earlier. If we discount my latest AF then I'm on CD44 now (32 day cycle including AF and 12 days into a new cycle now if that makes sense)
This mornings test was First Response One Step, if boobs still sore Monday think I'll test again. Still spotting this morning and some minor niggling cramps which could be in my head or ov pains if I'm in a new cycle!

In news from me, I had my first acupuncture yesterday. Apart from anything else, it was good to talk everything through, we did 40 mins of talking, and 20 mins of needles!! But I think it will be good to do anyway. Good for my well being and stress levels, and if it helps, that's a bonus.

I also am feeling a dilemma, because my head of HR hinted that I may get a promotion very soon, and I feel really worried if there's the possibility I might turn around and say "I'm Preg" soon after! What do you guys think? I can't let it change anything, can I? I just know it's a role they will be relying on quite a lot, and in some ways I would be letting them down. And as my DS is 8, they probably think I'm done having babies!! Anyway, this is all assuming I do even get preggers! Anyway, sorry, I know we're all on tenterhooks, but just had to vent...

prty I can deffo see a line on that new test!! But I agree with you and everyone that the timing is confusing! But you're not actually sure when you OV'd, right? So is it possible you OV'd late-ish, then didn't actually fertilize an egg for another 7 days (sperm can last up to 7 days I think), then can you work out how long it could be since then? Maybe it's not been enough time to show up late, if you see what I mean? And if the bleed was IB, you wouldn't be late, it would just be IB. Although, are you saying it's 12 days since the bleed. Cray cray damn foofs!! Well, it does look like lines to me. What about getting a First Response? Or one that says "preg" or "not preg"?

pirsy when it appeared (within the 3 minutes) it was clear/grey. Think it might be pinking up lol
It was the right time for my period, a little shorter, less heavy, no cramps and done spotting either side which is unusual for me, too heavy to be IB though did have a suspected IB about 4 days before my possible AF started!
My head is boggled! Will prob be posting updates on the pee stick all day lol

Kitten with the HGC doubling each day, it does explain why this line is stronger than Thursday's. Also Prty some women just take a while fo the HGC to build up in their system, and some it just never shows up at all! Can't help but be excited anyway!

So last night I had a bit of AF like cramping. Didn't last long. Boobs and nips still sore, dull appetite and even a bit ahem blocked up this morning. Who would have thought I'd ever get excited about bowel movements?! (Or lack of)

Prty it looks like a line to me, it looks pink too, I thought evaps were usually clear. Agree timings are a bit weird though. Was your last period a 'normal' period? Is it poss that was implantation, or could you have ovulated already this month and be pregnant from this new cycle? Tentative congratulations!
