Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Is being really itchy all over an early sign of pregnancy or have I just got scabies????
Can't stop scratching! Started fairly minor on Sunday but feel like I'm constantly scratching somewhere now, and the more I think about it the worse it is!!!! ARGH!!!! Proper going crazy today!!!!

londonrach · 22/09/2015 08:28

Ok i realky dont understand how you get pregnant. Dh and i have been ttc right time for months now. Is there something we doing wrong? Getting very worried.

MummyBex1985 · 22/09/2015 08:03

Booooo neetie Sad hope the bitch clears off soon. FX for this month Flowers

Prty that's very well organised! My friend took 18 months to conceive and had bought pretty much everything except a pram before she was even PG! Weirdly I find that more normal than buying really early in PG... Feels like tempting fate then rather than just being organised and spreading the cost...

Ps - those baby wipes might dry out before you get to use them lol! Mine usually dry out within a couple of months!

neetie1 · 22/09/2015 07:18

Yes aindy he did and for the first time ever sounded disappointed. .might go back to using opk next month ..sigh. ..

LittleAindy · 22/09/2015 06:40

Oooouuuffff! That was a LONG torturous god-knows-how-long without MN! Everyone survive??

Neetie I'm so sorry. I had positive vibes for you too. She is a cruel cruel creature Flowers Does OH know she made an appearance before he left? Sounds like he will be back in time for your next fertile window and FX'd you can enjoy a BFP together next month Smile

Prty I think getting prepared is a very smart idea. Especially as you have decided that one way or another, you will be having a baby. If I could change one thing in the past, then it would be getting our finances in check before TTC. Yes, people will say "you will never have enough money, just go for it" etc, but you can certainly be smart about it.

Kids don't have to be expensive. We pretty much got all the major stuff free as hand-me-downs, presents or mega bargains at carboot sales. I also signed up to all the parent to be sites for freebies and vouchers. Also just ask around. People are always wanting to give away their baby paraphernalia! Anyway, the one thing you can't change the price of is childcare. Childcare is just ridiculously expensive, so my one major advice for all parents to be is SAVE SAVE SAVE for maternity pay and childcare! Unless you are in the very fortunate position to afford to stay at home or have doting grandparents!

P.s. get all those last major or minor DIY projects finished as well!

Well DH has gone to China for 10 days and af has moved in :( so convinced this was the month ...... :(

Ellamorella · 21/09/2015 14:05

prty just read your message after posting mine. I think you should do what feels right to you, and screw what's right or wrong. You guys know you want a baby, whatever happens, and you're being sensible about it. Your time will come (maybe next month?), I can feel it in me bones!) x

Ellamorella · 21/09/2015 14:01

Here are the pics I took of my chart. You can see the cycle days at the top. As you can see, we only managed to DTD once, because we were away with family (in a very exposed room) then had one day window, then hubby went to Canada!

prty so sorry it was a BFN in the end. But sounds like next month could be your month - fingers squeezed tightly crossed for you!!
neetie maybe it was a bit early... Maybe test again in a couple of days and keep an eye on the symptoms.
Aindy sorry about the row with OH - the thing with TTC is that things go on as normal at the same time, so these things happen. Glad you're feeling philosophical about it..
I'm a bit all over the place this cycle for some reason. I've been really under the weather ever since I came on, very weak, tired and aching, and just feeling wiped. AF still going on day 5, but lightly, including 3 days of spotting before it started, so am ready for it to go away now!! Do any of you know how to read BBT charts? I'm really confused by mine. I -think- I ovulated this month (around 5th Sep), and since then I've had 18 days of temps above cover line, which is a supposed to be a sign of Preg, but ovbiously got AF and had BFN on Thursday, so it can't be that. Do you think I did ovulate? Perhaps my temps never got high enough to be considered a jump, and I've just gone back to normal? Any advice would be gratefully received... I'll attach a pic, will do it in next post, as I don't want to lose this post when flicking between apps...

PrtyPsn · 21/09/2015 13:33

Chin up sunny some people never get positive OPKs and still conceive. TTC isn't a black and white thing, it will happen x
Confession time... I've got a nursery spare room full of baby things - wipes, cotton wool, nappies, changing mat... we decided that as well as saving some money when we decided we wanted a baby we also thought it would be a sensible idea to buy some bits while we still had two full time wages to make it easier in the long run.
Not sure if it's a good idea or not and I can see both sides. I had a freak out/moment of guilt about it when I had a BFN a few months ago, felt it was stupid to buy when we had no idea if we could conceive (and of course we had no idea how difficult it would be!) OH calmed me down and made me see sense that it would get used eventually, if we can't have our own then we decided right at the start that we would adopt.
I know it's not something normal people do but it made sense to us to buy what we could while we could (and some offers are too good not to buy!) but thought it might offer some comfort :)

Aindy that's awful! Hope you're ok hun (and not taking it too literally and finding another sperm donor lol)

(throws in a chocolate bomb and runs away)

SunnyScot89 · 21/09/2015 10:42

Oh dear Aindy. Hope you kiss and make up!
FX for you neetie, your symptons sound more promising than mine...
I'm at the stage of crazy symptom spotting, there's nothing to spot but it doesn't stop my head trying to find something..... Don't know why I'm even bothering as despite DTD EOT during what I thought was my fertile time the OPK never turned positive.... but I like to tell myself I was maybe doing it wrong(not holding my pee for long enough!)
5 days till ETD, also feel like I'm coming down with a cold but don't want to take anything just in case....
Why do I keep getting my hopes up?? I keep longingly looking at baby clothes/toys/books just praying I have a reason to buy them soon.....

LittleAindy · 21/09/2015 09:50

fills up cheeks with entire contents, like a hamster preparing for winter

Thanks Prty I'm surprisingly unphased. We have these big rows once in a blue moon then realise we don't want to throw away what we have and start working on fixing the issues. Probably wise before TTC again!!

PrtyPsn · 21/09/2015 09:32

Oh no aindy that's really awful :( poor you (hugs and slips a box of Maltesers into your pocket) men are just awful sometimes... idiots

LittleAindy · 21/09/2015 09:26

Prty really sorry to hear that. I hope it gives you a good fertile cycle this round Flowers

All too familiar cramps and backache today. I don't know why I was getting my hopes up though, when I know we missed our fertile window!!

Probably a good thing though after yesterday's fall out with OH. Including the comment "If you even think we're going to have another child, I'm afraid you're going to have to go elsewhere for that!". Charming.

Anyone fancy a trip to the sperm bank with me...??

Pirsy1 · 21/09/2015 08:52

Prty - I agree with Bex, just go for DTD EOD and you should have it covered. Sorry about the BFN but hopefully this month you'll crack it!

Neetie - maybe it is a bit early. One of my friends had a negative at 10dpo and then a positive at 12dpo. Do you know when you ovulated? If it was a digi I think they are less sensitive too. Give it a few days and test again I would say if no AF.

MummyBex1985 · 21/09/2015 08:31

Hmm Prty you could really be anywhere in your cycle at this point! I'd count the heaviest bleed as AF and just DTD EOD... If it was a chemical then this will probably be a pretty fertile month for you...

Sorry you got a BFN today but here's hoping its your month!

PrtyPsn · 21/09/2015 07:27

Sorry to hear that neetie it's not over yet though!
This mornings cheapie was a resounding BFN, no evap, no squinty line, nothing.
Now I'm wondering if it was a chemical and the spotting was mc? What do I count as my period - what I thought the spotting I've been having? Don't know where this leaves me in my cycle now

LittleAindy · 21/09/2015 06:41

Fx'd for you Neetie it's still early days yet. You're symptoms sound promising Smile

neetie1 · 21/09/2015 06:31

BfN this morning but still clear cm no brown when wiping. Day 24 some cycles I would have started by now or at least had spotting or cramping but nothing. ..

tay13 · 20/09/2015 21:56

Wow, lots has happened in the few days since I was on here! Smile

prty I had your exact symptoms the month before I got PG last year. We had been told early last year there was no chance we would ever conceive naturally.. Then a friend told me to test with all the unusual spotting - got a positive and it turned out to be chemical pg - the doc sent me for early scans which showed nothing. I was gutted yet pleased that it gave indication we could get pregnant. Was massively distracted at the time with my dad battling cancer.. The month after - we were pregnant! If I were you i'd take it as a good sign as hard as it is to do that. You will get there, the waiting game can be soul destroying though.

DH was talking about IVF today...Not too keen given all the meds I have to take anyway, told him we'll give ourselves 6 months after his training stops...

MrsKittenPie · 20/09/2015 21:12

Didn't realise I'd typed exciting twice then!

MrsKittenPie · 20/09/2015 21:11

Exciting neetie - how exciting! Keeping fingers crossed for you. How are you feeling now?

neetie1 · 20/09/2015 21:06

Yes will test (in secret) and only tell DH if it is BFP

themoo · 20/09/2015 20:39

Haha Prty Mr moo would totally have bread and butter with that (he's Welsh)
