Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

Not naive at all cookie, just hopeful which is a good thing, your symptoms were positive after all.
Enjoy the wine tonight!!

Update from me - CD19 and got my 6th flashing smiley OPK in a row today, where is this static smiley!!! Driving me mad, my cheap OPK's are still completely negative. DTD again tonight for the 6th day in a row, beginning to feel like we just have to get the job done , it's even taking its toll on DH a little, we joked tonight getting our 'chores' done but actually enjoyed ourselves in the endBlush!!
Shouldn't complain really but even if I get my peak tomorrow that'll be another 2 or ideally 3 days we do it on the trot, I think it'll be our record!!

Yvonne1986 · 14/01/2016 21:55

Cookie I'm sure we are all the same I become obsessed with pregnancy symptom spotting from the day of ovulation it's so hard not too! Enjoy your wine xxx

Cookie22 · 14/01/2016 18:23

Thank you girls, you are all so sweet! I feel so naive to have convinced myself I could be pregnant. That'll teach me for getting my hopes up! Where are you all at in your cycles? Chapman, looks like we're going to be cycle buddies again! 32 day cycle this time so it's getting shorter. How depressing to be right back at CD1 now! pops open the wine

Ps think I will definitely try and temp. Thanks for the advice girls xx

Sunnydays321 · 14/01/2016 15:55

Oh sorry cookie. It's rubbish isn't it! We have absolutely zero control and are just waiting every month to see if AF arrives or not, all the suspense and symptom spotting and high hopes! Look after your self today. I recommend chocolate and wine and a soppy film, wallow in it today and then tomorrow pick your self up and move on to next month. I'm doing a little bit of meditation this month to try and chill out. And opks/temping will give you a better idea about your cycle. I find iv been less disappointed last 2 months when AF arrives cos iv seen my temp drop before and know AF is on its way.. Gives me a day or 2 to get my head round it and be ready! Sending a hug xx

Yvonne1986 · 14/01/2016 12:15

I know Chapman we are definitely due a big burst of BFPs this WILL be our month!! I'm on CD8 just waiting for my OPKs to arrive xxx

cnchapmanxx · 14/01/2016 10:19

Aw cookie I am so sorry Hun! Really thought it would be both our time this month. I really guess it just isn't meant to be st the time. Pick yourself up and today is a new day! I'm going to start temping this month so hopefully this shall work. It's a right kick in the tits isn't it, hope you're ok xxxx

Yvonne - yes exactly I'm happy for others but i also wonder when it will be our turn! Apart from gx91 and Sophie we haven't had that many successes haha we need to mean business xxxx

Yvonne1986 · 14/01/2016 09:33

So gutted for you Cookie it really is so sad when AF arrives I hope you manage to get through work ok today Thanks

Chapman I know just how you feel two of my close friends and my brothers partner are all expecting I am so happy for them but I do keep thinking when will it be my turn Hmm hopefully we will get some BFPs this cycle xxxx

NewGirl2015 · 14/01/2016 07:51

So sorry cookie you must be devastated, all your symptoms sounded positive. Today will be crap but try to pick yourself up tomorrow, remember stress doesn't help our bodies with baby making.
Re your lutenal phase I would really recommend temping, you can get a really good indicator of the health of tour lutenal phase even if it is short based on this. Starting to sound like a Kindara salesperson but they have a really great article about it which I can share if you're interested
Xxx

Cookie22 · 14/01/2016 06:58

AF got me in the middle of the night. I feel devastated & have been crying off and on since 4am when the witch showed. Really thought it was my month. Also now worried that I must have a very short luteal phase Sad Chapman, I feel your pain! This is the first month where it's really hit me quite bad. Don't know how I can pick myself up and go into work as normal this morning Sad xx

firstgo1984 · 13/01/2016 23:12

cn sorry I missed you got AF. Rubbish. We'll all get there!

cnchapmanxx · 13/01/2016 22:13

Thanks Everyone for all your kind words ❤️ It means a lot. I feel so depressed today logged on Facebook and 2 more people put up scans today. I'm happy for them but also upset it's not me. I suppose it's not meant to be yet! Anyway tomorrow is a new day and a day closer to my next fertile period! I've ordered a new thermometer the one that eventually arrive from China the battery was low so it doesn't work. Gonna take up temping this month!

Cookie - has AF shown yet lovey? Gutted we couldn't be bfp buddies but hoping you fall this month sweetie! And no she was a day early! :(

New girl - thanks Hun I've bought some more on eBay i might invest in the CB next month if the end of this month doesn't work! Good luck with your ov this month, I need to pay more attention to my cervical fluid.

Chill- thanks lovely.. Oh god bless you I know you say you do need to chill it's easier said then done! Fx AF or ov arrives for you soon!

Tiny Emmy - that's good news that your cycles seem to be regulating let's hope you catch ov this month then if it's only tiny spotting it might be implantation :)

Poin - thankyou dear, good luck and hoping OH comes around for you.

Sunny days - we have missed you on here yiuve been very quiet! That's good news with the doctors might just be your body taking for ever to get back to normal! I will do this month I've ordered extra supplies haha! And well I was planning to go on a run tonight but AF showed and I feel like shit haha same here Xmas weight is horrible!

Yvonne - I know I was devastated this morning and did a little cry. Fx when my opk stocks arrive il get a bit happy again haha fx for us both xxx

NewGirl2015 · 13/01/2016 21:37

Chapman so sorry to hear the witch has arrived, not surprised you're feeling pissed off! Onwards and upwards only a couple of weeks till your window again.
I got the clear blue tests from boots, think it was on offer but still expensive around £35 for 20 tests, this is the dual hormone ones. You get a digital reader and 20 sticks that go in it. I'm saving my boots points to buy my next ones, they've lasted about 3 cycles (would have been longer but I've done 2 a day a few times this month as keep getting high but not peak). Baby dust and positive vibes to you Hun xx

Cookie your symptoms sound positive, really hope this is your month Hun!! I had cramps last month that weren't like normal pmt cramps felt more like ovulation pain so I thought I was in with a shout but no such luck. But the 'feeling' different is so common for those going on to BFP's - really hope this is the case for you!

Tiny fx that AF is on her way! Personally I've been using Kindara and can't recommend it enough, takes a little getting used to as its really comprehensive but I really feel no need to use any other app now (was using Ovia) as this covers everything I need.

Yvonne For OPK's it depends which you get, if you get Internet cheapies then yes withhold urine, test same time (mid morning to afternoon) each day, and reduce your liquid intake so you get a more concentrated wee! For clear blue they usually say do it first thing in the morning.

I'm currently on my 5th day of high reading on CB test, getting a bit frustrated waiting for the peak!! Have DTD every day except yesterday that I've had a high. Getting watery cm for the past 2 days after a small amount of EWCM the 2 days before, and no temp spike yet so don't think I have ov'd yet but worrying it may be a fake and this will be an annovulatory cycle Confused.
Probably just need to be patient!!

firstgo1984 · 13/01/2016 21:01

Been testing since cd10

Yvonne1986 · 13/01/2016 20:46

Thanks for the tips SunnyDays great news it's not looking like PCOS!

Keeping everything crossed for you Cookie

Hopefully you will get a positive OPK soon firstgo what cd did you start testing on xx

firstgo1984 · 13/01/2016 20:10

sunny using liquid stuff. Equivalent of 1600mg per day

firstgo1984 · 13/01/2016 20:03

Cd20 no sign of positive opk yet. Bit worried that they have been light pink most days. Sometimes a bit darker. But not dark enough yet! Need to chill out I think!

Cookie22 · 13/01/2016 18:26

Sunny that should say Pcos tests not pros - damn autocorrect! X

Cookie22 · 13/01/2016 18:24

So sorry to hear about AF Chapman, what a witch! Sending a hug your way Sad was hoping we could both get our Bfps this month! Did it arrive early or on time?

Sunny, your doctor sounds very efficient! Glad to hear all is looking good regarding the pros tests. Hopefully your cycles will settle soon. What day do you expect to ov, roughly?

Well I had dreadful cramps Mon & Tuesday off and on all day. I had convinced myself that AF was going to make an early appearance, to the point I actually put a pad on to work as I was that convinced! No sign yet so I'm keeping everything crossed that she stays away. Do you think this could possibly be implantation cramps? Today I have felt absolutely fine & no cramping whatsoever. I'm confused by it all!! I'm 10dpo tomorrow & trying my best to wait until the weekend until i test! I know this sounds daft but I do feel strange & not quite myself. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, but there seems to be a wee niggle here and there that's just getting me thinking that maybe I could be in with a chance Blush xx

Sunnydays321 · 13/01/2016 17:43

Hi all. Sorry been a bit quiet, trying to be less obsessed and also all fairly quiet over here. Currently on cycle day 8, the boring bit... The long wait for ovulation! Hope the egg pops earlier this month!

Had to go to GP for something else last week and she asked about cycles... When I said I'd only had two in 6 months she ordered some pcos bloods (but did say they still wouldn't do anything until we have been trying a year). Anyways got them done cycle day 3, LH 3.3 FSH 4. Which is normal. Yay. So I'm just going to chill and see what happens. Still got to have a pelvic scan as getting lots of pelvic pain but doesn't look like pcos.

First: our cycles our really similar (in their craziness!) I'm sure it is just post pill craziness for you too, but the bloods have made me chill out even if they don't help actually regulate my cycles! What dose agnus are you taking? I might try mine again (I only used for a couple of months as got thrush twice) but going to wait til all my investigations are done so it doesn't affect results.

Cookie: how are you? Did AF arrive? If not have you tested?

Chapman: sorry about AF. Get on those opks and you should be able to did a few extra times to give you a better shot! Well done on your run. It just signed up to gym again, piled on Xmas weight!!

Yvonne: yeah if it's the cheaply sticks that just test for LH afternoon is best between 2-6. And hold pee for 2-4 hours before and don't drink much. If you start to see a darker line I would test again in evening as some people only get peak for a few hours so it's easy to miss. I try to just do one a day unless the line is looking dark otherwise I'd use hundreds with my mental cycles!

Hi tiny. Hopefully this is AF and then you can get on with next cycle! If you don't get anything it wouldn't hurt to do a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks (you can ovulate before your first period/withdrawal bleed.

Hi other sunny days! Two of us on here now! Haha. Good to hear your success story

Xx

tinyemmy · 13/01/2016 17:17

I have downloaded: Period Diary (I had this last time, just as a log so it was useful to compare to this time when I stopped the pill), Ovia, Glow, Fertility Friend

I'm attempting to update them all but realistically its all a bit sporadic. Does anyone have a favourite? Is it worth keeping some/all up-to-date?

Poin86 · 13/01/2016 13:55

Ovia recognises spotting Tinyemmy Smile

Sorry to hear AF is here chapman

Going to give it a few months and maybe try agnus castus to bring on OV as not sure I am. May sneak a few OPKs too over the next month and see if i am for sure or not. Gradually working away at the OH again so hoping he relents soon Grin either that or nature will take control!!xx

tinyemmy · 13/01/2016 11:52

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is ok! I have semi-exciting news, I have a brown tinge to my CM so that may be a start to AF/withdrawal bleed! If I remember rightly this is what I got last time the difference is last time it took 100 days, although the various apps I have don't recognise spotting (can I call this spotting? Its actually staying inside...) as the start of AF but if I can call it that then it only took 28 days?!?

Fairy dust to everyone :) x

Yvonne1986 · 13/01/2016 11:03

Does anyone have any advise for using OPKs do you use same time each day and limit fluids before etc? X

Yvonne1986 · 13/01/2016 11:03

Oh no Chapman Sad it's so horrible! FX Otks will work for us this cycle xxxxx

chillthefXXkout · 13/01/2016 10:37

Hello! Sorry to hear about the AF arrival chapman - I'm only popping in to say I'm on cd76 and no sign of anything...thanks for all the reassuring words about it taking a while for cycles to settle. I just need to stop googling PCOS symptoms and chill the f**k out!
