Proper congratulations ODog fx for a smooth pregnancy for you

ODog · 01/09/2015 10:02

Got a 2-3 weeks on a cb digi this morning and progressively stronger lines on cheap ones, so I'm finally starting to believe it's right. Good luck to the rest of you and hope to see lots of you on the antenatal threads over the next few weeks!

FuzzyOwl · 31/08/2015 22:25

Sunshine EPO didn't make me ovulate earlier than normal in the one cycle I tried it, but I did get pregnant then (so a 100% success rate). Good luck.

AF has finished and I am on day seven. I usually ovulate around day 20 but am away on a big family holiday from day 12 to 19 so not holding our much hope for this month.

coco808 · 31/08/2015 21:47

Same here...CD 19 today and CB ovulation sticks still negative :(

very long cycles though (35 +) but I usually ovulate by CD 18/19...arrgghhh...so frustrated!!

Sunshinegirl2015 · 31/08/2015 21:42

I got some cheapies this month and getting faint lines but nothing solid yet.

I hate how expensive the CB ones are. Surely plastic doesn't need to be that expensive! Used them the last two months now this month miss seeing that smiley face but can't keep spending £30 a month on them along with all the healthy superfoods and supplements I keep reading are good for ttc.

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 21:27

The CB tests are pretty expensive too! ttc costs a fortune doesn't it!

Thisisbonkers · 31/08/2015 18:48

shary it's the smiley face sticks I have. I looked to get some more from Tesco and saw that a set of 10 were £30 Shock Shock so will stick to my cheapies!

That has really amused me, obliviated! Maybe you could try other liquids?

KittyandTeal · 31/08/2015 17:52

I don't actually know but is it something to do with the chemical that picks up hcg also being sensitive to other hormones but over a longer time period. Therefore after 10 mins or so it starts reacting with that hormone to create a colour change?

Obliviated · 31/08/2015 16:41

Does anyone know why you get evap lines when using urine but not with water?

Disclaimer - it's a rainy bank holiday and I had nothing better to do than experiment

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 10:28

Thanks Star, good luck for tomorrow xx

Thisisbonkers is it the CB monior your using or the smiley face sticks?

Thisisbonkers · 31/08/2015 10:06

Congratulations to the BFPs Smile

I've been OPKing but so far, CD18, no positive Confused I've been using the clear blue ones first this in the morning. Up until today, there has been a fairly strong (or certainly visible) negative when I've ejected the stick. Far lighter this morning. Don't know if that means I'm not going to ovulate or not? Not sure whether or not to buy any more, they're pretty pricey and I have tons of cheapy ones.

star1980 · 31/08/2015 09:10

Hey Shary, with those temps it looks like you ovulated on Thursday and have had a slow rise like I have. Just 0.1 deg C each day but a definite shift when compared with pre-ovulation. Hope your progesterone test confirms. I have mine on tmrw which will be 10dpo so I hope the levels haven't dropped by then.
Good luck!

SharyBobbins · 31/08/2015 08:50

Hello fellow passengers!
My aim this month is to find out if I do ovulate sometime during my 43 day cycle! Got a +ve OPK & high on CB monitor on Weds, +ve OPK & peak on CB on Thurs, -ve OPK & peak on CB on Fri. Temperature dropped on Thursday morning but had gone up by 0.1/0.2 degrees each day since so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Booked in for "day 21" bloods this Thursday (day 33 in my case) which (fx) will be either 6 or 7dpo. Good luck everyone, hoping to see more BFPs soon Smile

Banana79 · 31/08/2015 08:27

Hi eveyone
Welcome new bussers.

BFN this morning. AF due tomorrow

Spotsondots · 31/08/2015 07:48

BFN here this morning on CB digi (turns out they were both digital in the pack). I'm annoyed at myself for even testing now. Stupid long cycles.

Obliviated · 31/08/2015 01:06

No AF yet, and another BFN.

I used a Sainabury test today, you could see the evap line before I even pee'd on it. Awful. Google tells me they are notorious for evaps/false positives, but they were only £3.50 so not a big loss.

This photo is of an evap line. It could so easily get someone's hopes up! (it looks a bit battered as I pulled it out of the plastic)

PipeDownSmallFry · 30/08/2015 19:51

Hello newbies, also really hoping this is a lucky bus.

Laura, isn't the pill a rollercoaster!? Was perfect throughout my 20s but has been almost a constant nightmare for the past 4 years. Grrrrrr.

CD 27 for me, lots of period type pains since yesterday, started bleeding very lightly this afternoon (sorry tmi) but seems to have stopped again now. No idea what's going on, just hoping it's all still positive.

Spotsondots · 30/08/2015 19:42

Evening all. Big friendly bus welcome to the newest passengers ????

Feeling a bit nauseous here on day 37. It might just be tiredness - we've had a full on weekend with DS 2nd birthday. Bought a twin pack of clear blue tests today, one digi, one not. Might test tomorrow morning if I am feeling brave enough. I didn't get any sickness with DS so trying not to read into this too much... Eek!

Laura103 · 30/08/2015 19:12

Another month. I'm charting temps and so far finding I haven't ovulated- very frustrating. Didn't consider what long term use of the pill would do when we wanted children. Not worried about symptom spotting now though- got used to my 28 ish day cycles!

Just a quick hi to everyone from our holiday in Devon. Arrived earlier and bought pregnancy tests and women's supplies with me just incase. Af due Tuesday at the latest. Bfn this morning so not holding out much hope. Here's to a good holiday anyway.

Congratulations to Emily and odog. Fingers crossed for everyone else

Hi all,
Can I join in? This sounds like a friendly bus and I'm hoping it's going to be lucky!

Trying to stay positive. Each month I add something new to my TTC regime. Currently using OPKs, temping and stalking mumsnet, and have a day 21 blood test booked and AMH test.

Day 21 was actually Friday, but I'll have the bloods done on Tuesday which will be 10DPO. Will it be a waste of time?

I am terrified about the AMH result. Has anyone else had this done?

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 30/08/2015 14:34

AF has arrived. I'm relieved, tbh. I haven't worked out quite was going on though. Will see how things go with the Clearblue Monitor this time round. I think I really need to relax - this is only going to be cycle 3! It doesn't help that I started a new job a few weeks ago and I'm quite stressed generally.

Anyway, updated stats now:

Congrats ODog and Emily (and hope the weather picks up)!

YouandMe how frustrating for you. My last pregnancy I eventually got a BFP on CD36, having been 28-32 days all my life - even then it was a squinter. Not out yet.

Think the app is offline as it wasn't secure, Lex?

weechops · 30/08/2015 11:22

sunshine I used EPO to try and bring forward ovulation when I was ttc#3 because dh was due to be working away. It brought it forward by 2 days and that was the month I conceived!! And yes, tons of EWCM.
