Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

Best wishes,
K x

Completely agree, This is my first cycle trying so for the first time I'm really paying attention to how I'm feeling, as Much as it's an exciting week waiting it's also annoying because is AF is going to arrive then I'd rather she hurried up so I can get over it and try again lol xxx

Thanks Annie0369 in a shellfish way it's good to hear from someone in the same boat. I normally have Af symptoms from day 28 but this time rounds it's been from day 17! Crazy! My DH thinks I am mad!

Annie0369 · 18/10/2015 21:22

I have a 35 day cycle too & in your exact same situation. My hormones are crazy at the moment & I have symptoms that could be a build up to AF or a BFP. Trying to remain level headed though x tough time in the 2ww Confused

Hi ladies

How are you all doing? AF is due in 11 days (sadly I have a 35 day cycle) and feel like I am slightly going mad with symptom spotting! Gah! How are you ladies coping with the wait? Xx

Hi XL. Thank you! :)

XL · 17/10/2015 15:41

Hi Paige and welcome Smile

Hi everyone

Ive been off the pill since January , however its been two month of 'trying' for #1. My cycles can be anything from 25 -31 days (not that bad really compared to others) however im not sure when/if ovulation is taking place. Just started charting my BBT so in a few months time that might help. Might start using OPKs

Last month i had what I thought was implantation bleeding and was feeling nauseous so i started to think 'could it be' however my period came two days later. Trying to just relax and let it take its course but i must admit its very difficult. On day 5 of my cycle so lets see what happens... ??

I know they say that anything up to 1 year is very normal if you have no fertility problems and you're relatively young. Fx it won't take that long for you! You never know you may be one of the lucky ones! x

Annie0369 · 17/10/2015 12:51

I'm keeping things crossed but I'll be VERY Lucky to get a BFP after 1 cycle. I'm expecting it'll probably take a few tries x

XL · 17/10/2015 12:37

This will be my 5th cycle so not very long in the grand scheme of conception I guess! Fx you don't see AF next week. It is a torturous experience the 2ww....x

Annie0369 · 17/10/2015 11:42

How long have you been trying for XL? My AF is due next week. I'm 7 DPO today

XL · 17/10/2015 11:25

Looks like I'm out guys. AF 2 days early booooo. Nevermind start again!

XL · 16/10/2015 20:42

I take pregnacare conception vitamins which contain folic acid. it's best to take folic acid when trying to conceive as its responsible for Preventing neural tube defects in the early foetus Smile

Welcome Lou.

My OH calls it not taking precautions rather than TTC!

Same here Lou, hubby is far more relaxed about it. Tells me I'm nuts to be worrying so much already.

Yeah I find that scary too - you just assume you can get pregnant with no problem but until you try....

I'm sure we'll all be fine. Xx

Yes.... It is hell! It's a bloody nightmare! AF is due Monday and I too have convinced myself of every symptom going when I know all too probably AF will arrive as normal boo boo!
I don't think it helps that early pregnancy symptoms and Pmt symptoms are pretty much identical. Good luck to us all x

MrsBac83 · 16/10/2015 11:25

Welcome Lou.

My period came 4 days early this time and I was convinced I was pregnant as I had all sorts of symptoms - which it was probably far too early to really have - Have wondered if it was an early mc but I'll never know.

This was my first cycle really monitoring things and the 2ww was hell! Am I? Aren't I? I can't do every month like that! I'm going to try and ignore my ovulation calendar app and try to forget about it next cycle and see if I at least feel a bit more relaxed about it. Will just have to try and dtd as much as possible for a few weeks, shame lol. Fingers crossed! For all of us of course. X

MrsBac I'm not sure whey they change. I did read that others with very regular cycles experienced the same thing whilst TTC. I might do some more research!

ljomrs - welcome! I hope our lucky thread serves you well.

Have a good weekend everyone x
