Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Congratulations apple - fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you :)

Tamara160 · 10/08/2015 10:58

haha bluepigeon that made me laugh! I'm sorry to hear about your mc, hope you're ok now. The relaxed approach seems to be working for a few of us, here's to hoping it works for the rest of us too!!

Bluepigoon · 10/08/2015 09:13

I used the word 'relax' so many times in that post I've now got Frankie goes to Hollywood stuck in my head!

Bluepigoon · 10/08/2015 09:00

Hi everyone, I like the sound of this whole relaxed approach. We started ttc a few months ago, got pregnant on first cycle then had a very early mc after 5 weeks. Now my cycle is all over the place, so decided to just relax about the whole thing, dtd whenever the mood takes us and see what happens. I feel much better now I've realised I can't have complete control over what happens, so may as well relax and enjoy the process!

lostindubai · 09/08/2015 20:14

Wow it's all been happening in here the last couple of days!

Welcome CakeLady, Golden and Luna (sorry it's late) and congrats to Luna and Apple (had a feeling about you tbh Wink)

Decca - might be you next? Fingers tightly crossed!

Had a fab time at the wedding and managed to avoid alcohol completely. Nobody even noticed - well not that they said anyway - sitting on a table with people I'd never met before probably helped! Tell you what though, having a toddler at a wedding is immensely tiring. I forgot how much waiting around there is. So anyway I'm back home and our carpets are in and our house feels cosy which is nice. After more than 4 years it's almost finished.

Reebok sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. Would chalk tablets help? Hope you're able to get plenty of rest.

Tamara that sounds amazing! You lucky thing Smile

Thanks guys...she seems a little better. Sleeping loads which is helping...I now feel awful. Really bad constipation (sorry tmi), burping non stop which is making it hard for me to eat and bad lower back pain. Feel like I might come on soon.

That sounds great Tamara! Enjoy!

CakeLady456 · 09/08/2015 14:46

CakeLady456 · 08/08/2015 22:47

My hormones a bit out too! Had my contraceptive implant removed a week and a bit ago and had a couple of days of quite odd mood swings!! Snapped at OH then cried then laughed at myself all within a minute!!!

Reebok · 08/08/2015 21:57

Lol cake! Don't we all!! I am too but right now I can't trust any symptoms...my hormones are so out of whack from my mc so I doubt I will be getting pregnant anytime soon even though we are not taking any precautions to prevent pregnancy.

CakeLady456 · 08/08/2015 20:27

Reebok I think I'm getting overally sensitive on symptom spotting!!! Really shouldn't have read that Facebook article on early signs!!!

Reebok · 08/08/2015 19:16

cake don't think it is in my case...it's either being caused by ovulation or the prenatals I'm on. Doubt I will get a BFP for a while yet!

CakeLady456 · 08/08/2015 19:14

Congrats lunasmum and good luck applecatcher!! Apparently constipation is an early sign of pregnancy Reebok? Here's to lots more BFPs in the next few weeks Grin!! I've spent the day at a wedding and being miserable at turning down free wine lol!

darkpandora · 08/08/2015 19:12

lunasmom it may have just been a case of there wasn't enough HCG to get a reading at that time please don't worry Smile

LunasMom · 08/08/2015 18:23

Thanks again everyone! Please know that I did receive a negative blood test on July 29th, so I'm just still trying to comprehend these faint positives.

Tamara160 · 08/08/2015 18:15

congratulations lunasmum! I hope everything goes well for you! sounds like a BFP may be around the corner for you applecatcher! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I'm on holiday at the mo so I'm sneaking on occasionally to check in with you all haha! yum red velvet cake! i would have thought it would be ok

Reebok · 08/08/2015 18:13

Great news about blood tests pandora. The cheese cake is fine to eat. Enjoy!!!

Congrats lunas! Looks like a positive to me!

Apple, good luck for tomorrow.

Feel awful. So constipated!!! Sorry for tmi!! If AF is on its way it really is taking the mick right now as its making me feel so crappy!!

LunasMom · 08/08/2015 17:35

Thank you Pandora, Apple, and DrGee! I suppose it is very rare but i am just in disbelief!! i had a negative blood and urine test 10 days ago.....I`m so SHOCKED!! but scared to admit that Im ABSOLUTELY thrilled just yet
