Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Ah sorry MrsHughes, am in the same boat at the mo waiting for first AF after having my contraceptive implant removed a fortnight ago! Anyone else know how long that might take?! What's everyone up to for the weekemd? We've got my father in law for his 70th birthday, I'm making a Homer Simpson cake for him this eve!! That'll probably take my mind off TTC for a bit!

Reebok · 13/08/2015 22:55

Decca sorry to hear that...remember AF is the first day of your new pregnancy though! Chin up Hun.

Molly, ouch feel for you Hun. My mum had that. Cleared up after 2 years so I know how awful it can be.

Thank you Tamara. Not feeling so awful. Just wish this damn first AF would arrive so I can start Ttc again next cycle.

Tamara160 · 13/08/2015 21:58

Ouch Molly! That sounds very unpleasant! I hope it clears up soon.

Hi Annarose! Hopefully twice was enough! Shame about having guests, well not a shame but you know what I mean! I'm just about to enter the TWW and i'm already going crazy! Everything i'm feeling i'm over analysing everything [embarrassed]

I hope it's not too bad for you Reebok Flowers

MrsHughes, i'm buying some from ebay. My friend uses them and says they're great. They're cheap so worth a shot!

Decca - the witch? Do you mean AF?

Molly28 · 13/08/2015 20:32

Soory slow response here!!

Lichen sclerosis is a skin condition that usually affects ladybits. It can cause long term thrush symptoms and skin fusion. Mine is under control at the moment but dtd can cause it to flare up :(

Ntnp stands for not trying not preventing. So im off the pill with no protection but not tracking my cyvles etc. Last time i became obsessed so im not sure how long this will last mind you!! ;)

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 11:54

I've seen lots about the super drug tests being good.
Right now I'll be excited to have a period/ ten years is a long time without one lol
I got caught up in symptoms yesterday- back to being calm now! Can't wait to see your girls catching though

DeccaMitford · 13/08/2015 11:35

I think the witch has got me Sad

Annarose2014 · 13/08/2015 10:51

Popping in as I'm driving myself a bit mad with the TWW. Af isn't due till the end of the month. I'm using Clue which gives you an estimated fertile week.

Its been a crap month DTD wise though as we had a lot of guests - thin walls so we felt a bit inhibited, lol. We only managed to do it twice during fertile week.

So not particularly optimistic but you never know. This is #2 and #1 was conceived on the first round. I don't feel any different though! I know its only been 1 week though!

DeccaMitford · 13/08/2015 10:34

Haha, I'm so opposite in many ways. It's my husband who was pestering me for #1 and now #2 but I made him wait till I was ready. Also I'm more likely to put off testing as long as possible in case something goes wrong.

My DS is at the childminder today so I am having a massive spring (autumn?!) clean. I've just steam cleaned the floor and am feeling pretty sweaty now so will have a nice long bath later as a reward!

Reebok · 13/08/2015 10:32

Haha Bluepigeon! Totally agree!

Mrs Hughes, the digital ones aren't actually as sensitive...SuperDrug brand is much cheaper and sensitive too. When pregnant with LO clear blue digital gave me negatives whereas got first positives with first response and SuperDrug.

I'm cramping badly today so having a 'me' day in bed with movies and chocolate to make me feel better. Think AF will arrive soon and it's meant to be much heavier after a natural mc. Arghhhhh

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 09:32

Thanks girls!
I'm at work- absolutely shattered!

Bluepigoon · 13/08/2015 09:19

I'm at work then going to see the new mission impossible film afterwards. I've heard good things about it so looking forward to seeing it.

lostindubai · 13/08/2015 09:13

Aww MrsHughes sorry to hear you're feel nervous! We'll try to keep you chilled until AF is due!

What's everyone up to today? I'm off to the library with ds. Hoping it's not too late to start the summer reading challenge with him.

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 09:12

I really don't think I'd catch this soon- I don't even know if I ovulated lol

Bluepigoon · 13/08/2015 08:57

It's so tempting to test early though! Doesn't mean it's going to stay a bfn, just give it a few more days :)

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 08:42

It was way to early for me to test.
It was really to settle my nerves!

I need to wait for a bloody period, which hopefully will be around 26th x

Bluepigoon · 13/08/2015 08:37

I've got a huge pack of cheapie internet tests in the bathroom cupboard (i spent way too much on sainsburys tests when we started trying a couple of months ago so decided this was safer for my bank balance) but still impatiently waiting to ovulate this month so no need for them yet. I prefer the internet ones to shop ones, they look a bit like you're doing a science experiment!

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 07:26

BF.......N! Lol I feel more settled though!

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 07:24

The temptation became too much- to attempt to settle myself I've done a test (I know it's too soon!)
Waiting for the result lol x

MrsHughes25 · 13/08/2015 07:09

I've brought tesco digital ones.. Anyone know how soon you can take them? X

Tamara160 · 13/08/2015 00:03

Good idea! I may just do that, i can't see myself being convinced with just one test lol.

Reebok · 12/08/2015 23:48

Re preg tests guys, just buy some internet cheapies. I bought 25 10mui for £3 something!!! I had about 6/7 negatives when I was pregnant with my daughter before I got a positive so I refuse to waste cash on tests. And then once you get a positive you can treat yourself to an expensive one! Grin

Tamara160 · 12/08/2015 23:37

Hahaaaa I'm so glad I'm not the only crazy one! I sometimes feel as though i want to jump up and down, while squealing and squeezing DH at the sametime! Poor guy!

darkpandora · 12/08/2015 23:32

Sounds like all our OH's are the same when it comes to pressure so we can just get it all out on here Grin

steps back and waits for the tidal wave of crazy Grin

Tamara160 · 12/08/2015 23:31

Hahaa our DHs could be peas in a pod!
Aw it's great that you have a good relationship with your stepdaughter/son (i couldn't remember if you said which it was ). How old are they?

MrsHughes25 · 12/08/2015 23:27

He'll love it when I am, & hell love another child. & his first would too, I have a good relationship as step mom.
He just wants to chill & have sex lol! He's never responded well to stress or nagging! X
