Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Still feel a bit crappy Dubai.. If I didn't know better my nausea yesterday felt like morning sickness with my DS. I know it's not (missed the window this month) but was exactly the same. nausea has gone today so just cold/flu type symptoms

Tamara160 · 21/08/2015 13:24

Haha totally with you on the 'no symptom spotting' anna! Good sign though!

Glad you have us to share your exiting news with! A very happy Friday to you too Camillia!

camillaMc · 21/08/2015 11:38

Thank you!! So hard when you have no one who knows - really appreciate your responses! Happy Friday

annat66 · 21/08/2015 11:32

I've got a terrible mettalic taste in my mouth that I can get rid of! Yuk. Had it all morning and keeps coming back no matter what I eat/drink.

So trying not to symptom spot!

xXx

Tamara160 · 21/08/2015 10:49

Haha Millie you rebel! Just as long as you don't get through them all in one go!

If that's what you need to do Cake then fair enough. I'm afraid that I have no idea about any of that, so will be no help whatsoever!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better Reebok and glad the pain seems to have subsided. Smile

Oh dear Dubai, I hope you managed to get back to sleep after the last adventure to the loo!

Welcome and congrats Camilla! That looks like a positive to me too! Flowers

I seem to have joined the club of venturing to the loo in the night, 3 times last night! I feel very woolly headed this morning with itchy boobs - sorry if tmi! I've also stopped taking my hayfever tablets as they say not to take when pregnant. I still haven't tested but don't want to take any risks. I haven't stopped sneezing or blowing my nose in a week and i'm about ready to chop the damn thing off!

Hope everyone has a nice day!

annat66 · 21/08/2015 09:25

That's a positive to me! Congrats Smile

Morning ladies I've been following your thread this month. TTC cycle #2. AF due today but had no PMS this week or cramps, which I normally do. I took a test this morning and got a faint positive line. Do you this is really positive? Will test again tomorrow but shaking with excitement and trying to get ready for work. No else knows we are trying! Any advice would be great!!

Bluepigoon · 21/08/2015 07:24

Glad the pains have gone Reebok, hopefully they'll stay away.

Dubai, I'm not quite sure when AF is due but I think I ovulated 6-7 days ago so I might do a test around next Wednesday. I'll be on holiday then too, so if it's a bfn I'll be disappointed, but at least I can have a cocktail :)

Reebok · 21/08/2015 07:15

Welcome to any newbies!

Haha cake and Millie! That's hilarious! But if that's what you both need go for it! I also have absolutely no understanding of chatting or anything like that. Even with my LO, we just estimated when I might be ovulating.

Dubai, I'm ok thanks. The antibiotics have kicked in. No more of that pain from yesterday so far and like yourself I've been up to pee most the night. Woke up feeling quite sickly...not sure if it's a side effect from antibiotics but with LO I had hyperemesis so was sick very early on.

Hope everyone else is ok!

lostindubai · 21/08/2015 05:40

Zumba are you feeling better yet? Seems to be a lot of summer colds about. I'm just waiting for my turn. I never escape these things!

lostindubai · 21/08/2015 05:38

AnnaRose you have the same symptom as I did - frequent peeing! It's all I had to go on too. What I thought was AF turned out to be implantation bleeding. Fx for you!

Bluepigoon how exciting! How long till you can test?

Look at the time. I just got up for my second wee of the night and I can't get back to sleep. And I have work today! And I feel queasy. Not cool!

No-one's going to throw you off Cake! But the reason I started this thread was because every other thread was all about charting and I wasn't so I had nothing to add to anyone's conversations. Also I won't have a clue what you're talking about Wink but chart away if that's how you want to do it, I hope it helps Smile

How are you feeling Reebok? Are the antibiotics working? The pains might be unrelated - the other night I had awful diarrhoea and was in huge pain with it. I was really worried and fully expected to see blood afterwards. But all seems ok now. Also worth thinking about, I had bleeding in my second pregnancy at the same point as my previous mc, expected the worst but an early scan showed all was well. Try to stay positive x

Hello and welcome to the newbies! Lovely to have you with us.

Hi again all, had a right nightmare trying to log back in after all that hacking news!!
Right confession time : I've bought a basal body temp thermometer and have a chart!! Do i get thrown off the 'relaxed' thread?! Blush

MillieMoodle · 20/08/2015 21:48

I've just ordered 50 IC's off ebay Blush Don't tell me not to have tests in the house, now I feel like the naughty one!

Hello new posters Smile

Reebok - I hope all is ok, try to relax (easier said than done). Hope you're feeling better than you were earlier this week.

Tamara160 · 20/08/2015 21:37

ooo Bluepigeon! Exciting! Fingers crossed for you Smile

I will resist Reebok, i'm determined not to crack!
Hmm, like Blue said, hopefully it's just normal pregnancy pains. If you're really worried, it might be worth nipping to the docs to be sure.

Reebok · 20/08/2015 21:17

Doesn't feel like the pains I had when I mc. They started off like mild p pains and increased slightly when I actually mc. Just really want this baby. Was in years earlier when it happened. Scared me. Thanks for trying to reassure me Blue. X

Bluepigoon · 20/08/2015 19:47

Oh no, hope it's just weird pregnancy pains and they settle down soon :( I know it's difficult not to, but try not to stress. Does the pains feel anything like when you had your mc? When I had mine it felt like extremely intense period cramps, but definitely no shooting pains. It was very early on though x

Reebok · 20/08/2015 19:30

Fx for you Blue!

Girls resist!!!! No good comes from early testing!! It just drives you more crazy!! Fx for you all!!

Am a little worried. Getting shooting pains in my downstairs area. Lasts about 10 seconds and throws me off track. Can't remember if I had this with LO and because of my mc history I'm freaked out. Keep wearing pads as I'm convinced I will bleed soon and it's going to be over.

Bluepigoon · 20/08/2015 19:20

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good day. I had implantation bleeding today but I'm trying really hard to not get too excited as I had an early mc a couple of months ago. Fx though!

PipeDownSmallFry · 20/08/2015 18:06

I'm determined not to buy any tests In advance - trying to be relaxed about it (I'm obviously not at all) AF due on dds first day back at nursery after the summer hols - can't wait.

Tamara160 · 20/08/2015 16:52

Hi everyone!

Welcome annat66, themarsh and Pipedown Smile, as Dark said 'the more the merrier!'.

I know how you're feeling Dark, i'm dying to test! I have tests in the house and look at them everyday lol. But i'm determined not to test early!

Ooo not long annat66! You must be more excited than me!!! Resist the testing, not too much longer to go!

annat66 · 20/08/2015 12:35

Can I hop on board? Smile

New around here! Currently ttc number 2 (dd is almost 3) after gaining complex thyroid issues. Came off meds in Jan so tried to let my body settle down to somewhat normal! Thyroid issues can make it harder TTC however we're trying to take it all with a pinch of salt and stay relaxed Smile

Currently getting twitchy to test! 4days till period! Eep!

xXx

darkpandora · 20/08/2015 11:54

themarsh · 20/08/2015 11:16

Hi all,

Hope I can join for a chat too? (I'm also new to mumnet so don't always get all the acronyms!)

I have one 17 month old and am TTC number two. Have been trying for around 4 months but my cycle is a bit all over the place and unpredictable since I had a baby! Anyone else had this? I have tried ovulation calculator but kind of prefer a more relaxed approach!
