Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Wow this relaxed thing seems to be a great tatic there have been a quite a few BFP's it's brilliant FX for more in the coming weeks

I agree cake we need some sort of spreadsheet or something to keep track as I'm Struggling a bit too.

AF is due in 3 days! Praying she doesn't arrive not had many symptoms tho apart from sore boobs but I get that before AF as well so we shall see

Good luck to everyone who hasn't yet got their BFP and hope you are all doing ok. Smile

Vicky2307 · 25/08/2015 16:48

Hi All,

I have been reading all the messages for a while now. Think it's about time I joined in.

I stopped taking the pill on 11th June, had normal 5day withdrawal bleed and nothing since....

I know it could take a while for everything to go back to normal, we are just going with the flow and seeing what happens....well that's the plan but now I'm just waiting for AF time seems to be dragging! It's the first time I have ever wanted AF to arrive!! Haha!

PipeDownSmallFry · 25/08/2015 15:25

Fab news annat! Brilliant news. xx

AnnaC82 · 25/08/2015 14:32

Congrats annat!! Smile

annat66 · 25/08/2015 13:54

Thrilled to reveal I'm BFP!!

In shock really :) did clear blue digital test this morning and said 1-2 weeks, but looking at my dates, it would be 4weeks.

Can't believe my luck! Grin

PeasinPod1 · 24/08/2015 14:34

Hi ladies hoping to join!

I'm 35 & TTC no.2...this is the 2nd month TTC.

1st month just messed up as wasn't even at home the day (think) I ovulated, this time round much more " on it" (so to speak ha!).

DTD every day for 4 days running up to, on the day (checked with O stick) and day after too...fingers crossed. Now the 2 week wait begins...this depressing rain doesn't help either Angry

lexb14 · 24/08/2015 13:30

Thanks CakeLady - great name :)
FX to you too.

CakeLady456 · 24/08/2015 13:01

Hi lexb! FX for you too!! Haha boys eh!! A friend of mine who's TTC and doesn't use ovulation tests as apparently there's a whole load of factors that can affect them. I'm just working out the days tbh but I'm on my first cycle so still working out what's best for us!

lexb14 · 24/08/2015 12:19

HI ladies, please can I join you? I've been a lurker for a bit.
TTC number 2, I have a 6yo DD, I'm not with her dad anymore but with new partner and its his first (although he has a teenage SS - a whole other story!).
Had coil out at the end of last month and we DTD every other day for a week and a half over what I think was my fertile period (could not understand the cheapy ovulation tests that I bought from ebay) - AF not due for a few days but have had some symptoms, weird heavy feeling in my lower abdomen and unusually exhausted and a bit nauseous, convinced myself last week that I was pg and did two tests both BFN. I will test at the weekend if no AF by then and try very hard to think about something else!! I would be delighted if I was this month obviously but my OH would rather not as it would make me due very near to the date of his bro's wedding and (i think more importantly in his mind his stag do!- boys!)

CakeLady456 · 24/08/2015 10:04

Oo FX Annat!!

annat66 · 24/08/2015 09:37

Today's the day AF due...no sign Confused
In this mornings melee, I didn't test FMU. Have been feeling iffy past few days, totally off coffee which i normally cant survive without, so maybe. I'm usually spot on or early with AF! Eep! FX!!

I had really bad morning sickness with DD (had HG) lost loads of weight and couldn't eat or drink anything and still ended up with a healthy 9lb 5oz! Totally not a myth - she took it all from me! Haha

xXx

PipeDownSmallFry · 24/08/2015 08:25

Morning, hope everyone's ok, it's pretty rainy here this morning so dd and I are are watching TV in bed for a bit which is very relaxing apart from the toast crumbs she is spreading into the bed, luckily mainly on DHs side.

Still just over a week till AF due so keeping positive and busy.

Dodi - coming off the pill is hideous isn't it. I was put on cerelle earlier this year, terrible mood swings and feeling quite depressed so stopped it and put on a load of weight, grrrrrrrr. Absolute rollercoaster. Feeling much better now though, but took a couple of months to sorts itself out.

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 23:20

I started my job three months ago, not looking forwards to having to tell them I'm pregnant when I do get my BFP. On the bright side I'm only just turned 21 so they'll probably assume it was accidental... not sure if that's good or not Grin it's a really maternity-friendly employer thankfully.

CakeLady456 · 23/08/2015 23:07

Yey congrats infrance!! I feel like I need a spreadsheet to keep up with who's who and what stage everyone is at lol! I had no idea tests could be such a minefield lol I'm not looking forward to that bit!! Still got ages to go Confused, shagathon planned for next week for me!!

Agent123 · 23/08/2015 23:03

Hi ladies. I've lurked the last fortnight but I'm taking the plunge and joining you if that's ok. I'm symptom spotting like crazy.

Basically dp and I last month decided to very casually ttc dc2. We had a not much action month (dtd once only and I thought prob just outside fertile window using guesstimating). Anyway a job I'd applied for a while ago got back in touch. Had an interview. Got th job yay. So handed in my notice.

That was 2 wks ago. Still no AF. Am now 32d from last period but have been irregular in past and have def not been paying attention in recent months. So I may or may not be late.

But have v tender breasts which does happen preAF too, but in my mind feel a bit stretchy in lower abdo.

I'm a mixture of delighted if I am, as am 37 and dd is 5 so was anticipating a much harder ttc. But also nervous as would mean no mat pay and would be a bit embarrassing to explain to a new employer.

So mostly hoping for a BFP. I know I should poas but am trying to hold out until 35 days post period so can be def sure I'm late.

AnnaC82 · 23/08/2015 20:29

Thanks Tamara, if my cycle is 28 days then last Wednesday, but hard to estimate as I've just come off the pill. Got some HPTs coming from Amazon, so will test again tomorrow or Tuesday!

Bluepigoon · 23/08/2015 20:26

Sorry to hear you've been feeling rubbish Dodi, I felt all over the place when I came off the pill. Hopefully it'll your hormones will sort themselves out quickly (dinner out always helps!).

Congrats InFrance!

I'm trying not to do a test until Tuesday as that's vaguely when AF is due, I've had quite sore boobs this weekend though, which I don't get with PMT.

dodi1978 · 23/08/2015 20:19

Congratulations InFrance!

Oh ladies, today was not a good day. I had gone of the pill two weeks ago and today the hormonal slump hit me. I was an emotional and argumentative wreck. The poor husband (who was quite emotional). DS took it in his strides.... I was arguing and crying whilst he was having his lunch and, with no one to entertain him / telling him to eat, he just fell asleep on the table... we only noticed when he almost rumbled off the chair.

Out swimming in the afternoon and then for a dinner at Giraffe, so feeling a lot better now!

Tamara160 · 23/08/2015 19:36

Congratulations InFrance! That's great news! Flowers

Camilla, that sounds like a good plan for this evening. I hope the curry is yummy. Hmm maybe it's taking a while for the HCG levels to rise. I'd leave it for a few days then have another go if AF hasn't arrived.

Welcome Anna! Sounds promising! When is AF due?

applecatchers36 · 23/08/2015 19:33

Great news France many congratulations!

Someone once told me that sickness was a good sign for a healthy baby, not sure if they were just trying to make me feel better though.....

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 19:29

Congratulations France :)

MillieMoodle · 23/08/2015 16:27

Have caught up at last Smile

Camilla - sorry to hear you are getting bfn's. It's so disheartening isn't it. Keeping everything crossed that AF doesn't show up.

Congratulations France, lovely news.

Reebok - hope you're feeling a bit better and the antibiotics worked.

Have had a lazy-ish weekend. Am off work tomorrow as well so finding it hard to be motivated to do anything at home. DH and I are cracking on with ttc this monthWink, cd 10 here and keeping everything crossed that this is our month.

InFrance2014 · 23/08/2015 15:55

[ has anyone been keeping tabs on who's here, and could do a quick catch-up- for me and newbies? I know I'm going to get lost trying to read back all the posts and names for the last two weeks! ]

InFrance2014 · 23/08/2015 15:46

Hello again everyone,

I'm back from my fortnight of fieldwork - wow a lot of posts to catch up on, great to see more people and more BFPs here.

I can add to the total- AF was due while I was away, managed to wait for test til 2 days overdue, and got a nice BFP Smile.

Am feeling a little like Reebok though, almost like I can't believe it til I can see the first full scan. Having more symptoms than either 1st pregnancy or the mc (which I had absolutely none for), so am hoping this is a good sign.

Hopefully I can keep track of everyone better now I'm back!

camillaMc · 23/08/2015 14:17

Thanks Jorah. I've just had a good chat with my husband and feeling better about things. Still feeling a bit fragile but going to cook a nice curry for dinner and find a funny film to watch to lift my spirits!

Hope everyone else is having a good Sunday...any news?
