Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

My stats

38
No DC
MMC in April. Should have been 12 weeks but scan revealed heartbeat stopped around 9 weeks. Had ERPC and currently on 4th cycle following the procedure, averaging at around 42 days a cycle which was normal length for me pre bfp.
TTC very casually with mild panic of getting older but scared of going through it again !

Adventuregame · 26/08/2015 12:51

'lostin' did anyone do the clicky link for you ?

Think this is it....

Hi ladies, how are we all?
I really struggled to get back on here after the attack thing!

How's everyone doing? Xx

lexb14 · 26/08/2015 09:50

..... and DD is 6

lexb14 · 26/08/2015 09:46

Congratulations for all the BFP!

My stats

Age 38
TTC #2, first conceived without having any idea about fertile times on first month.

1st cycle this time with a new partner and AF due in the next few days.
Had a couple of BFN's last week as had some symptoms - sore boobs, knackered, and weird pulling cramping in lower abdomen.

jorahmormont · 26/08/2015 08:05

I can feel AF on its way ugh :( not surprised in the least but I could do without it haha.

AnnaC82 · 26/08/2015 07:58

I'm really confused this morning... I'm now in cd 35, still no AF so took an IC test this morning with FMU... Nothing at first but a very faint line showed up after about 5 minutes... Can't decide if it's positive or not! Don't want to get too excited but there's definitely something there! Anyone who's done more of these got any wisdom for me?

TTC - a relaxed thread.
Bluepigoon · 26/08/2015 06:30

Hi all, here are my stats:

Age:32
Ttc #1
Have had faint positives on internet cheapies the last couple of days, but the symptoms I had at the weekend (sore boobs, heartburn) have disappeared now, so think this might be another one that hasn't worked out :( am going to test again with a boots test in the morning and see if anything comes up.

Reebok · 25/08/2015 23:05

Wow so many bfps!! Great news! Congrats infrance and annat. Fx for those still waiting on their bfps.

My stats:
Age: 30
One DD (2 years old, conceived on first cycle of ttc after waiting 3 months after 1st mc).
Currently 5 weeks 3 days pregnant (conceived 2 weeks after mc without an AF).

Having a bad day...staying with parents for a few days and siblings here too...no one knows I'm pregnant. Feeling crap and LO is acting up...tantrums, hitting..feeling like a failure!

lostindubai · 25/08/2015 22:32

Oh it didn't work! Can anyone make a clicky link for me please? Must be cos I'm on my phone x

Currently 7 weeks pregnant after first month of trying (not used any hormonal contraceptives but still bf once a day)

How is everyone doing?

I think there's enough of us to start a grads thread now. I'll go set one up. It'll give me somewhere to moan about how shit I feel (I know I can moan here too but I'll try and keep it to a minimum Wink)

InFrance2014 · 25/08/2015 17:54

Perhaps we can all give a brief bit of info for a "state of play" post we can all bookmark if someone will knock up a spread sheet-thing?
i.e.
Name, Age, any DC, cycles TTC/current state, any TTC-related problems they're happy to share or want to chat about

Here's me:
InFrance
34
1 daughter, 17 months
nearly 7 weeks pregnant, TTC before that since March 2015 (2 cycles total)
1st miscarriage at 8w early June, now trying to be very zen until 12 weeks (or earlier for heartbeat scan Wink ).

InFrance2014 · 25/08/2015 17:46

Congrats annat!

And thanks all for the congratulations aimed my way too Smile

Very busy with work, which may be a good distraction from the obsession of symptom-spotting (although its impossible not to check tissue every toilet visit, as this was the first sign of mc before).

Agent I'm also slightly nervous about employment situation - am going to be unemployed by mid-October (contract ends), and although will receive v. generous unemployment benefit (you get up to 70% of old salary in France), possibly starting another contract next spring, pretty close to the due date, is worrying. Not sure what might happen with paid maternity leave; I only got 16 weeks last time (standard in France, but with higher pay), but with contract work I'm not sure what I would be entitled to in UK.

OTOH there's never a perfect time in life, last time we took the plunge and it (just about) worked out ok.

darkpandora · 25/08/2015 16:57

Welcome Vicky it lovely to have you join us Smile

It's a great bunch of ladies on here and we all help each other and support one another. Hope AF arrives soon for you ( that's a weird thing to say lol) so you can start trying as soon as possible
