of knowing

AvaAmulet · 29/07/2015 16:41

Pear, you have the satisfaction if knowing that you bf DS to give him the best start, and could already be pg Wink x

Well put, iSpy Smile x

Dougal, your DD sounds loads like mine (and Wax's!) her speech, nemory and nurturing skills amaze us - she's 2 going on 12 lol! Grin I'm so grateful to be able to still give DD milk when she needs it and that my body has had sufficient time to recover between pregnancies - I can't imagine it having happened any sooner now x

Good luck again everyone - thinking of all of you in the 2ww and keeping everything crossed for more good news x

peardrop2 · 29/07/2015 14:21

Thank you ispy and Dougal for understanding Smile Very kind.

Oh god Pear, I feel like that at the moment too Flowers. So many questions about when we'll have a another.

And is DD so sweet with her dolls and toys, caring for them, feeling them. Yesterday her nursery manager told me how sweet she is with a new baby that has just started in her room, and that a sibling would be great for her Sad.

I am full of doubt and worry at the moment, about whether I should stop to enable this to happen.

On the other hand, I too, really, really see the benefit for DD. I was at nursery for DD's end of year assessment / report type discussion (ridiculous I know, they are only two!)

She only goes two days a week, but if I can allow myself a little boast, they told us she is exception, streaks ahead of the others both in measurable stuff (speech, knowledge, memory) but also in maturity and confidence.

When I'm feeling strong I think that kids naturally space their sibling, enabling you to get pregnant when they are ready. Having two close together can be really hard core, and I think the effects of that, especially for the older one, are long lasting. If I was younger and didn't have a history of luteal phase issues I'd be happy to wait it out, I think.

Also for me, likely we will have two (though secretly i'd love three - can't see it happening though!). So I didn't want to rush through it, and in particular I wanted to feel like I'd properly recovered and had some space to enjoy DD before we get into it again, so I'm able to enjoy another baby, and not feel like its all just sped by in a sleep deprived blur.

When I look back, I do feel a million times better now than I did when we started out TTC in January.

My SIL has 2 and 3/4 years between her two and still found it pretty tough.

I'm trying to really let myself feeling all this stuff now, to emotionally make space in my and our lives for a new baby.

Spotting continues here today. Bah.

Because life is not fair and really sucks sometimes Pear but mainly because you made the best decision to give your ds the very best start in life. I have days where I really struggle with the jealousy but I deal with it by being (really judgy about other people not bf) really smug about my successful bf journey. It may not be very healthy but it definitely helps Confused Also, try to think about it that you still have all the newborn bit to come while there's will be all done soon. Dh and I had a long chat about ttc and he admitted that he was hesitant only because we know this would be our last and he doesn't like to think about us being done with babies ????

peardrop2 · 29/07/2015 06:39

I've not slept more than 4 hrs and I have a soft play date to go to this morning Shock I mainly can't stop thinking about the newborn cuddles I had with my friends baby yesterday and how my Ds went to spontaneously cuddle another friends baby lying on a couch. It was so cute but also tore my heart out Sad Why is it taking so long Angry All my friends, NCT group, celebs who had baby no1 after me...they all have their babies or bump Confused

Oh Mini, my DH was like that one night the cycle before we decided to take a ttc break. I was really upset at the time, but, looking back I think I needed the night off too. It's so emotionally and physically draining dtd eod / ed, especially when you already have a lo and other priorities Confused

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 23:45

Thanks Mumo Grin x

Mumof1sofar · 28/07/2015 22:42

Congrats Ava Smile That is such lovely news GrinGrin Sooo excited & happy for you.

MinisMama13 · 28/07/2015 22:14

Even hubs said he didn't want to tonight Shock

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 21:30

You would know Ava Wink

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 20:53

Pear, you only need to dtd once with one determined little swimmer Wink fx this is your lucky month too!

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 20:14

So, I've decided that I'm definitely not going to continue to dtd. I'm having lots of signs of progesterone flooding my body which is not sexy whatsoever! It's dpo 1 and I'm officially done Smile for this month anyway

peardrop2 · 28/07/2015 19:15

Yes Ava I'm really intrigued to find out whether you have a girl or boy! I hope I find out Smile

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 15:17

We only dtd on 8th July and I had EWCM on that day only. I poas just out of curiosity that day and it was a strong-ish line but definitely not a positive. That was the only opk used for that cycle. Goodness knows how long after that I actually ov'd?? It'll be interesting to find out how long the swimmers actually hung around for Shock

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 15:03

Ooo-oooh sorry ava. :) I misread that above when you said with DD you knew the exact date of conception and thought you meant you knew the exact date of conception this time around. It's because I'm running around like a mad thing and should really close this window NOW--
Keep us up to date! :)
Okay. Bye. End broadcast. Cheers. Ciao. Toodles.

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 15:00

Yes, Auf in previous months I would have gone to the GP with my exact date of conception as I had been charting. I don't know my exact ov date for July as we were taking a break from charting and opks too really, therefore, dating my pg from the date of my last menstual period, which is the best I can do, I'm 5 weeks on Saturday, like I said, until an ultrasound tells me otherwise Wink Wink Wink

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:58

Okay I'm no seriously go-ooo-ooing! :)

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:58

ava Try this, and insert your OV/Conception date: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/tools/due-date-calculator.php#results

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:57

To clarify: The fertility clinic confirmed this for me. So my OV date was the 10th of July so at that point I was "already 2 weeks pregnant" even though my period started not 14 days previously but 18 days previously. Which makes me 4w4d today. :)

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:53

mini I'm fine btw. Thanks for asking! :)

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 28/07/2015 14:53

Ava the LMP is a catch-all basis because most people won't know their OV/conception date at all. If you know your conception/OV date then you just add two weeks on to that to "fit into the catch-all LMP"-system.

Thanks pear!
I am really buggering off now for those few days. Damn internet tab left open with this thread on it so I peaked! Grin

AvaAmulet · 28/07/2015 14:45

Pear, I thought everyone dated their pregnancy from their last AF? I know healthcare professionals do it this way, telling you that you've been pregnant 2 weeks longer than you have actually been. I know exactly when I conceived DD but I still went by what's generally considered the norm for dating a pregnancy, from the date of your LMP Confused
