Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

No that's interesting thank you Mini. Sorry about the pregnancy announcement on today of all days....

MinisMama13 · 06/08/2015 21:20

Ispy I think with any ovulation test can give you an answer that you're getting ready to ov and it will likely be within the next 48 ish hours. The problem is they don't say when. I know in theory you ov on your second peak day but it could happen on the first. I sometimes will have a positive opk ic 2 days in a row but not always and I find the second line disappears quickly! I don't think I've helped there at all as I forgot my point!

Pear I have everything crossed that the spotting doesn't show! Wine is a good back up plan though!

Cd1 for me and as an extra punch one of the ladies at my exercise class told me she's pregnant tonight whilst we were warming up. It took me a minute for my brain to engage and say congratulations. I am happy for her though. Well mostly lol. Pregnant people everywhere it seems!

ispyfispi · 06/08/2015 21:04

Good plan Pear although boo about not getting to go out!

I'm thinking I must've ovd late yesterday or early today as ewcm has disappeared today. It's really good timing as we are off camping tomorrow so won't have to worry about dtd on an airbed with a cosleeping toddler and an 8yr old and an 11yr old in the tent!

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 20:07

Evening! It turns out that DH is now working late tomorrow night so I won't be able to go for that drink after all Hmm I'm going to have to let my sister down really really gently! I'm also going to buy a big bottle of red, Brie and Stilton. Oh and maybe pate Winkobviously I'll wait for the first signs before I know it's game over!!

One play date done...one to go. I have no patience today. Lost my cool this morning and now I'm really annoyed because a fly is buzzing around and won't buzz off Confused A major PMS sign Confused

Ispy - that's interesting. I would say that you OV'd last night then. You're quite late in your cycle already for it to be a false alarm. Just my opinion. We won't really know because it's only your temp that will ever give a proper understanding of the exact day Confused Perhaps if you had tested in the evening (Tuesday) you could have got a static then and then it really wouldn't have been much surprise that your OV'd yesterday?!

Leamice · 06/08/2015 11:58

Maybe you Ovd yesterday then ispy? Or could have been a short surge? Maybe test again tomorrow just in case it was a "practice" surge, sometimes your body gears up to ov then doesn't quite make it so retries a few days later. I'm definitely no expert though but I have done a lot of googling in this limbo land of infertility.

ispyfispi · 06/08/2015 10:24

Two week wait, between ovulating and either period or positive pregnancy test ????

lostindubai · 06/08/2015 10:14

Thanks for the lovely messages. Pear I didn't realise I was on the 2ww either (what is a 2ww?!) I'm useless with the abbreviations!

ispyfispi · 06/08/2015 09:26

A question for you clever ttc experts- my ic opk was a strong line yesterday which was the day of my fixed smiley but today, which I would assume is ovulation day the ic only has a thin line? Interested to know when ovulation occurs as an extra day to my lp would be great!

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 08:48

In previous cycles I start spitting at lunchtime tomorrow so if I haven't had anything I will test on Saturday morning at 12dpo. Do NOT let me test before Wink 9 cycles of this rubbish has made me waste ALOT of money!

Leamice · 06/08/2015 08:24

But you'll need to test when AF is late Pear!

Glad you enjoyed your chocolate Mini :)

Good luck ispy hopefully all that dtd has paid off and you will get you bfp in 2 weeks time :)

ispyfispi · 06/08/2015 08:14

Yes sorry Mini, have as much chocolate as you need!

Congratulations Lost, I'm keen to keen to hear how bf in pregnancy goes incase we're lucky enough to get a bfp soon. I hope it all goes well.

Well done for not testing Pear, I'm impressed!

So it's ov day here after my fixed smiley yesterday. Have been dtd lots, maybe too much?! Will enjoy it for another day before I lose interest for the rest of the month Confused

MinisMama13 · 06/08/2015 08:11

Pear when is your designated poas date?
I'm really hoping that a longer lp will help but I still think it'll be a while. In all honesty I think mini bf all night won't help!

Lea I certainly did, ate the lot! Ooops!

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 08:09

Lea I probably won't test

OP posts:
Leamice · 06/08/2015 06:26

Sorry abut the spotting mini, hope you enjoyed your chocolate

Leamice · 06/08/2015 06:25

Congratulations lost! That's great you got your bfp on cycle 1 ttc!

Pear- That's amazing willpower to get to 10dpo without testing. When will you test?

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 03:35

Aww mini that's so hard Hmm Sorry AF finally arrived but yay for the extra day. Better then no improvement at all I guess! Don't feel bad! Nearly all of us get our hopes up, what else can we do?! TBH I preferred the cycles when I got my hopes up because at least you got to sniff the dream whereas I've now just become so negative towards TTC which I don't feel is a good thing Hmm

Ispy - 20 months is a long time to wait. Mine came back at 14, little did I know that it was just the start of the long waiting game!! Of for turning back the clock huh!

Yes, Ispy and mini, you can be grateful not to be around newborns and I hope that does not change for you anytime soon because boy is it tough!

Lost - congratulations! I didn't even realise you were on the 2ww. Tbh I've been on this thread long enough to expect you to get a bfp quickly. Weirdly it's always the quiet ones who announce bfps very quickly so I was kind of expecting it from you. Well done for falling pregnant whilst still BF. Quite an achievement and gives hope to others on here Smile I hope you have a very boring and non eventful pregnancy Wink enjoy!

10dpo here and I just cuddled DS back to sleep after a bad dream. Managed to pee really quickly Smile I am not giving into POAS. I may not get my bfp this month but I'll be damned if I waste a test. I remain strong! I can do this GrinConfused

Dougal - you ok? Still thinking of you. Hope the appt went OK!

Pear enjoy the distraction tomorrow! It sounds like the Agnus Cactus is doing something. I have everything crossed for you - early pregnant and af symptoms can be very similar!

Wax I hope you're managing to get some rest. I find dizziness worse than anything as I hate being disorientated!

Lea my cycles have always been surprising so you never know when you'll be back in the game! Oh and I'll probably still be here!

Ispy I'm with you, not sure how I would feel being around newborns! Glad I just have to listen to pregnancy talk although that can be bad enough!

Lost congratulations lovely!

Well I am out. Proper spotting started this evening at around 6. I stupidly let myself get my hopes up too! It does mean I had an extra day so that's good but I can't help feeling a bit stupid to be honest. I should know better! Eating my way through a bag of chocolate orange segments because I can.

lostindubai · 05/08/2015 22:32

Hi ladies I just wanted to let you know I got my BFP this morning!

Still bf my ds once a day (with only a very occasional exception) and this was our first month of trying. I realise how lucky I am. Sorry I'm unable to give you any stats but I wasn't doing any measuring of anything really. We just dtd every other day from about day 6 for a couple of weeks (28 day cycle) and then I had an implantation bleed a day before AF was due - actually thought it was AF for a while there!

Wishing you all a speedy BFP!

ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 21:48

I recon I'll still be here Leamice. Af didn't return for me til ds was 20mo and we were ready to ttc from 9mo so I've had a long wait already. While af is back we're still bf an awful lot so doubt I'll be getting a bfp anytime soon.

ispyfispi · 05/08/2015 21:44

Haha I hate meds like that Pear! Like antidepressants which have depression as a side effect, wtf! What hpts do you have in the house? Good luck resisting poas! Also, I'm very glad I don't have friends with newborns right now. I hope your day goes well with lots of cuddles and no tears ????

Fx the sickness stays away Wax....

Keep us posted Mini. Thinking of you....

peardrop2 · 05/08/2015 21:11

Well I read tonight that Agnus Cactus is meant to make your pre AF acne better but one of its side effects is that it can make it worse. Confused ????

Leamice · 05/08/2015 21:03

Good luck pear and mini, (I'm quietly stalking thread until I can actually ttc) hoping for BFPs for you both. I bet there will be no one left here by the time I get my flipping cycles back!

waxweasel · 05/08/2015 20:49

Oh no Sad but you never know, early pg and pre-AF symptoms are pretty similar. You're not out of the game yet.

I'm ok thanks, am still only 4+4 but am absolutely exhausted and having real dizzy spells. Hoping they pass soon! Otherwise all ok so far and the sickness thankfully hasn't kicked in yet...fingers crossed you'll both be joining us on the grad thread soon!
