Peardrop - age 33, TTC cycle #9, DS is 26 months (stopped bf soon to be 4 months ago). Af returned when DS 14months, currently on CD14 and have had 4 flashing smileys. Praying for a static smiley tomorrow! Dangling legs in air!

I read that too about the sugar, seeing as I have polycystic ovaries I probably should avoid! I think I read to avoid bad fats, sugar and too much carbs.
my dh is very fit and healthy so it's all on me to do better lol.

peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 14:12

Lea - I read an article that if you have cysts on your ovaries then just by cutting out sugar and grains (I'm not sure what it meant by grains, maybe carbs?!) you can dramatically reduce the amount of cysts! Not that we have that issue at all but I was really interested to read how changing your eating can have that much of an effect on your body because that is crazy to think that eating can do that!!!

DH and I had a quick chat this morning about how we could both look at changing our lifestyle habits! Not that we're obese or anything close but we have fallen into the couch potato and pudding trap more than normal. TTC Stress eating is what we've been doing! Anyway, it's good that we're at least talking about it and DH is thinking about buying a treadmill for the spare room. I'm thinking about going back to WW as tracking what I eat works for me.

Lea - Sad pants. I'm joining you with healthy month next cycle though!!

Pear- Could still be cd25, did you test yesterday evening or previous day?

I think my AF is coming today, more spotting than previous days and crampy feeling. I got my hopes up too soon lol. Ah well. Next cycle I'm going to be super healthy to see if that helps.

peardrop2 · 07/10/2015 08:06

Lea - Yay you're the next tester Wink

CD24 no blazing static smiley to report Sad Plus I think I've messed up my chances because I hardly got a wink of sleep last night. Seriously!! For some stupid reason I started doing Christmas shopping and then I was wide awake until 3:30am!!!! I look terrible. Shock!!! And I'm going out tonight so I have no idea what I was thinking Angry So silly! I didn't spot any ewcm yesterday. I seemed to have dried up! I ovd on cd25 last month so you never know but I think I've got myself too worked up about it this month (not to mention too tired!!). What a silly crazy person I am!!

Your opk looked almost positive yesterday pear so I'm guessing you'll have a blazing one/ static smiley this morning. Glad you got more tests, your dh is right, £20 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Glad you had a nice break Elle, sounds like you are nice and relaxed, we know from Ava that relaxed works wonders, good luck :)

Clara, was it AF starting or dos you get your bfp?

Not much to report here, still spotting tiny amounts. FF has added new crosshairs saying Ov on CD 53 which was 48hrs after +ve opk, I'm now on cd60 so maybe 7dpo... Obviously not much hope with all the spotting which started on 2dpo! plus the fact that FF gave me an ov much earlier in the cycle but then took it away. I'll prob still test soon anyway as I'm an addict and I have lots of ICs :)

peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 23:07

That's - I wish I could be as relaxed as you! Definitely not a bad thing Wink

I'm a bit worried about my body. For the last 2 cycles (including this one) I have been experiencing around OV time...constipation, OV pains on my left side (that hurt when dtd) and spots on my face (the kind that show a lump on your skin in weird places that don't show up but are quite sore). Today, I got a raised spot above my eye lid, below my eyebrow. It's such a weird place. I've never ever had a spot here! It's got no white head it's just sore and raised. Horribly hormonal Sad What's going on?!?! I read up on PCOS cysts and endromitus this afternoon. Scared me a lot!! Shock

I like the sound of your DH pear. Hope you get a good result tomorrow.

I suspected ov spotting as well, definitely out this month as haven't dtd, next month I plan to start properly! Argh!!! That's the first time I've admitted that to myself or anybody!

peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 14:07

Elle - Thanks for looking. I agree with your verdict. Glad you had a lovely time! Hopefully your relaxed break has put your body in a good place for baby making Smile How annoying that your DS isn't forgetful though Wink They're not silly little people are they!!

OK, so after explaining what was going on to DH this morning and all my how do I know when to book my blood test drama...he then told me to stop wasting time and go buy more tests because some people out there are spending thousands on IVF and I'm wasting time talking about twenty pounds. So, I did just that and went and brought more tests Blush Oh well...at least I can tell you all tomorrow whether it's smiley or no smiley Smile

I was thinking ovulation bleeds Leamice and thats?

I don't think the line is as dark as control line, but it's very close, so I reckon you're either side of a surge? Certainly looks promising.

Espresso - congratulations on the job offer. You should definitely take it. Sod's Law dictates that you'll immediately get pregnant.

I was away with a friend for a girly weekend, lovely break. DS got on great with DH and was in super form. I was hoping he might be less enthused about feeding on my return, but no such luck! Still he has been sleeping well so no night feeds and the 2 day break can only help. I'm on CD 15 so DTD 2 days ago and will again tonight and for the next few nights. Haven't been using ov tests.

peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 09:04

Uuuuuhhh it's going to take all my will power not to run out and spend money on more opk sticks today Sad

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 06/10/2015 09:00

So, I've uploaded a picture of my ic opk. To me it looked like a positive result so I cracked open my last pink Clearblue stick and it was negative Sad I am confused now. On second viewing the second line on the ic opk stick isn't quite as dark is it? So close though! I have no more sticks left Shock I think I should book my blood test for next Wednesday. Or do you think Thursday is better? I don't know how much difference 1 day makes.

Thats - sounds like ovulation spotting if it's around ov time. Do you have ewcm with it?

clara- did you test this cycle? Could still be bfp if you are having preg symptoms?

Not dumb pear, if your spotting is enough for a pad then why would you think any different, it's not like we openly discuss vaginal secretions in RL BlushShock ha!

peardrop2 · 05/10/2015 23:32

Ahh I feel a bit dumb now... I don't think I saw tinged cm as spotting Blush I always thought it was actual light spots on pad Blush I guess that's the same and I was just being a silly mare!

Lots of ewcm to report tonight. Dangling legs at present. Come on egg... You can do it!!!!

Hello ladies, not been posting much recently but still here and hoping for bfps all round. Dougal, I liked your recent post with the links and great answers to those questions. I'm on cd 32 and was wondering (?hoping against hope) if I cd be pregnant as felt bit queasy over the w/e. But then got spotting so thought it was pmt and don't want to get my hopes up only for them to be dashed... So just waiting to see and trying to be realistic that probably not my time yet.

Congrats on the job espresso, agree with all that great news and good distraction!

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 05/10/2015 21:18

Pear I hope this is your lucky cycle too Smile

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 05/10/2015 21:15

espresso maybe the new job will be a welcome distraction during ttc? Congratulations anyhow, I know how you feel about feeling bad about getting pregnant and how it will affect work but it's our life after all.

Leamice I actually have come on to ask about spotting as well. I noticed it since cd15 which according to my app was when I was due to ovulate. It sounds very similar to yours. Don't know if it's a coincidence that DS has ramped up the feeds recently?

Leamice · 05/10/2015 20:59

Well done on the new job esspresso, I think they'd understand you getting pregnant however long you've been there, it's something they expect from employing women of child bearing age.

Yes it's spotting pear like at the very start/very end of AF no red blood or clots at all, 1st day was light pink tinged cm now its brown tinged (white) cm so looks beige iykwim? I'm being mega gross describing haha! I feel like AF could spring up at any time... though as I said might not be an actual AF just breakthrough bleeding from wonky hormones/ no ovulation...

peardrop2 · 05/10/2015 13:58

Lea - thanks Smile We dtd 3 days in a row and then had yesterday off. Back again dtd tonight and then EOD for the rest of the week. Can you hear my enthusiasm? It's hard to keep up momentum when deep down you know it is just a small chance I may fall pregnant etc. the odds are so annoyingly small! I've only got the two OPk sticks left so I really am in limbo land today. I don't think anything is happening though because they amount of ewcm spotted this morning is very small, it's still there though. I will use one ic opk tomorrow and one Clearblue pink opk on Thursday.

Lea - how frustrating! I absolutely hate the unknown cycles...so random and unexplained! I've got my fx that you see a very understanding gyni at the clinic! One that moves things along quickly would be good too! I have read about sporting being related to low progesterone. I'm not convinced your description fits spotting though?!

Espresso - Congratulations on the new job! Don't feel guilty. Your company will expect you to fall pregnant soon enough even if they don't like it or want to admit it's happening soon Wink If it wasn't you it would be someone else, just remember that and it will work out. I think focusing on work is a positive thing to do. Anything that takes your mind off TTC is positive!!! Grin

So, cycle 2 and clearly not back to "normal". DD now 20 months.

Morning feed cut with no protest at all 3 weeks ago, and I have now night weaned as of 3 nights ago (it was clearly the right time, completed with only a little protest on 1st night, hardly any protest on 2nd night, and no protest at all on night 3). No requests at all upon waking up, so it was the right time to make the change - which makes me feel better. Just the bedtime one left, I don't think I'm going to be able to ditch that any time soon.

21 days into my cycle, and only a small amount of EWCM yesterday. But, the infertile pattern of cm I had before AF returned isn't back.

On the plus side, got offered a new job. Although ideally I wouldn't take it, as I'd like a bfp soon, this could take some time - so I'm viewing it as something to throw myself into, in case it takes ages (although I'll feel guilty for job if I get a bfp in the next couple of months!).

Leamice · 05/10/2015 10:30

Waiting is the worst pear! Are you dtd eod? Good luck, hope it's your bfp month, I'm sure we are due some more on this lucky thread!

I'm still spotting on and off, tmi- beige/ very light brown colour, not a lot just sometimes when I wipe.... Google tells me could be low progesterone causing spotting, or could be that I haven't ovulated and it's just a bit of breakthrough instead of AF? Who knows really, at this point all my hopes are in the gyno appointment only 2 weeks (ish) to go

peardrop2 · 04/10/2015 22:54

CD 21 and less sign of ovulation but I did peak on CD25 last month so who knows Sad Fed up of waiting now. Cd 25 is Thursday...aggggeeesss away!!
