Welcome to the thread for TTCers who track too much, spot to much and use most of our expendable income in Internet Cheapies.

Cycle 5 or 55 we don't care this is a place for your hopeful twaddle and necessary pre-conception ranting.

Aren't you in the UK Chelle? or are you having a doula? Sorry to hear you're having a few worries on top of the nausea Sad

My booking app is next Thursday (I think, but obvs not exciting as last time it was just form filling with MW who was clearly bored to tears with my ordinaryness ('so you're married? To the father? Hes not a blood relative? You're in generally good health? No substance issues? No sniffing glue? YAWN').

rik I bet you're so excited about Saturday!! I'm going to be 21 weeks for mine so mum is warning me that people are going to call it a shotgun wedding! Forgetting that we started planning the wedding two months ago.

I'm around lod Smile the nausea is awful and I keep getting really dizzy but I'm on reduced hours for the summer which will take me to 12 weeks. In fact, I'm tearing my hair out slightly because the extra hours I pick up in term time I will probably have to turn down for safety (sometimes violent kids). So light duties from now on- this pregnancy is going to drag! How are you doing? Booked an appointment with the midwife yet? I'm seeing mine Saturday but we are having financial difficulties at the moment so I don't know if I will be able to afford her Sad banks are criminals!!!!

LastOneDancing · 23/07/2015 08:16

chelle are you still there? How are you holding up?

achm any news? Are you still about?

Ah Rick! Enjoy all these last minute bits and bobs, it's so much fun. I loved preparing for my wedding. Will you be saying anything about your pregnancy? Maybe dropping it into your DHs speech?

I had a very late night at work last night and wasn't home til 1. I felt so sick with a really watery mouth driving home, I think I'm just lucky at the moment and I'm sleeping through my periods of nausea!

Hi Everyone!

LOD it's my wedding this Saturday. Took all the decorations and alcohol to the venue today, having all my beautifying done tomorrow then setting up Friday.

I'm also pretty symptomless, have very occasional nausea, lots of bloating, boobs have no swelling just slightly tender nipples. Am pretty tired but wouldn't say exhausted. I'd say officially I'm only 5 weeks tomorrow (7 weeks Sunday going by LMP) so still plenty of time for it all to kick in!

Welshcake77 · 22/07/2015 13:06

thanks LOD.

we are using the CB fertility monitor and roughly following SMEP based on the info that gives me. It happened first cycle last time so of course even though you know the statistics its still worrying.

LastOneDancing · 22/07/2015 10:57

Thanks welshcake.

Out if interest are you using opks or just lots of DTD? I'm 36 and finally got BFP on cycle 6 so have felt your worry when it doesn't happen quickly, especially if it did first time around.

sorry for disappearing...BFN on Monday and AF arrived today. Trying to hide my disappointment but thought we timed it all right this month so I had got my hopes up! I've made a doctor's appointment for September (which will be 7 cycles of TTC) as I'll be 38 in two weeks and don't want to wait too long if there are possibly any issues.

LOD I remember thinking that in my last pregnancy...was desperate for the typical symptoms at first but then so glad I didn't have any!

Rick, when is your wedding? That's very exciting! I love the sound of your honeymoon trip too.

How is everyone else doing?

LastOneDancing · 22/07/2015 09:25

Morning. How's everyone feeling today?

Still very little symptom wise here. I'm trying to be grateful bit it's a bit boring... Grin

No problem! I hope you have fun! I forgot - if you get a chance to get out to Catalina Island in San Diego, it's stunning. And make sure you get some Mexican and Chinese food - nothing in the UK I've found comes close, I miss them!

Rickalicious · 21/07/2015 21:19

Fab, thank you!

soontobemrslizzy · 21/07/2015 21:10

In San Francisco, try to get breakfast at the Cliff House - it's amazing! Little Italy is lovely and has lots of cute shops and restaurants. Chinatown is worth visiting as well, and fisherman's wharf is touristy but fun. Santa Barbara is beautiful - I don't know it well because I haven't been in ages but it's really nice although pricey. In San Diego, the Old Town and Balboa Park are really great as well.

Rickalicious · 21/07/2015 16:19

Ah you can give us some tips!

After Vegas and Yosemite we are heading to San Fran, Carmel, Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, Venice Beach and then San Diego. We're there for 2.5 weeks :-)

soontobemrslizzy · 21/07/2015 16:06

I'm from California, small world! Where are you guys going in California?

Rickalicious · 21/07/2015 15:33

We're going to Vegas and California, very excited!

My mom made me double check pregnancy would be covered by my insurance, it is. I have a docs app in the morning so I'll talk through my honeymoon plans with him to make sure it's ok but I'm sure it will be.

soontobemrslizzy · 21/07/2015 15:11

Enjoy your wedding, Rik! Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Rickalicious · 21/07/2015 14:51

It's very quiet when there is no POAS!

How is everyone feeling today? I break up from work today for my wedding and honeymoon, no work for 3.5 weeks, soooo happy!!!!

chelle792 · 20/07/2015 16:05

I'm 5+1

soontobemrslizzy · 20/07/2015 15:24

MrsPCR, I'll be 5 weeks on Thursday as well. I'm still waiting for real morning sickness to start - main symptoms are just tiredness, bit of backache, feeling dizzy if I don't eat regularly and being hungry all the time!

We told my parents and sister. My mom is definitely taking the 'fingers crossed, hope it all goes well' approach too. I was hoping she'd be more excited but I guess she wants to wait until the first trimester is safely done.

MrsPCR · 20/07/2015 14:48

Fingers crossed Ace. We did it CD 6, then CD 8-15 with ov on CD 14. There was one evening when DH got in from work 15 mins before a friend was due to arrive for the night..... She left and then DH left 30 mins later for a stag do. It was one hell of a romantic conception hehe!

Rik we're probably the same. I'm 5 weeks on Thursday. (You're the same too aren't you Chelle? DH is v worried about losing it but I'm just trying to stay positive. I'd be so gutted if we lost it but can't think like that.

Also I've got major baby bloat and holding my tummy in just makes cramps worse. I look ridiculous today!!!

We will tell immediate family when home and best friend as I would find it strange if they didn't know if something happened.

I've lost my appetite and my sweet tooth :-(. Which makes me even more annoyed at the baby bloat. But omg am I drinking! I'm so thirsty in the morning I drink the whole of the 750ml bottle of water at breakfast plus a cup of tea!

I feel like I want to get to 7 weeks, as you hear quite a few who lose around 5. Then I might be more relaxed.

Rickalicious · 20/07/2015 13:32

Yeah, i'm 6 weeks today going by LMP.... but I know I ovulate 4/5 days later than the norm and may have even ovulated even later this cycle so probably not even 5 weeks in reality.

I was planning to only tell best friends and immediate family but I will just see how I feel, i'm not going to go out of my way to tell people but if they directly ask I probably won't lie, i'll just emphasise that it's very early days and that i'd appreciate them to keep it to themselves as it's our news to tell.

My mom is the opposite to yours, she has every confidence that it will all be fine and is dying to tell everyone! I'm worried but I guess it isn't good to think like that, I am just going to enjoy it..... even the nauseous feeling I'm having now feels good in a weird way as its a sign something is going on as it should be.

chelle792 · 20/07/2015 12:08

ace I hope this month you get your bfp! Fingers crossed for you!

rik it's early days for you too, right? I'm excited about telling people but wondering whether it's worth holding off a little? I really don't want to but my mum is haunting me! I just want to tell everyone!!!

Rickalicious · 20/07/2015 09:51

Fingers crossed Ace, whats the plan of action?

Well DP told more people than I thought he would as he had his local stag and after a few drinks managed to slip it into a few conversations. He's excited bless him. All the parents and brothers and sisters have been told and everyone is very happy for us.

Still not very symptomy but do feel hungry all the time.... think I will enjoy it before they all kick in!

Aceberry · 20/07/2015 08:28

Well AF has finished on cycle day 7 today so getting ready to go for it this month.

chelle792 · 19/07/2015 22:00

I love it Grin
Mum is still asking me when I'll be safe etc and hoping things go smoothly. I just want to tell her to simmer down!
