Welcome to the thread for TTCers who track too much, spot to much and use most of our expendable income in Internet Cheapies.

Cycle 5 or 55 we don't care this is a place for your hopeful twaddle and necessary pre-conception ranting.

Good luck fattyfishwife and aceberry. I wait until 12dpo bc chances of showing positive before are soooo slim. I got BFN 12 dpo this month, although I only waited about 4 minutes and mine take 8-10. When I looked again after BFP 2 days later it was also positive and I personally have never had an evap.

Do you not temp Fattyfishwife? I'd seriously recommend it, then you're not in this limbo of unknown. I also liked to know come CD15, there was nothing more we could do that month! Otherwise I'm not sure we would ever stop 'just in case'. My graph also had implantation dip and went triphasic this month!

It's been weird dtd when we want to rather than when a calendar dictates!

Hope everyone is doing ok. I have examined a lot of toilet bowl rims this holiday! DH left me in one toilet as you could hear me outside and he didn't want to be associated. :-(.

Glad midwife went well Chelle and good to hear about your house looking more sorted.

Aceberry · 30/07/2015 21:05

Hi ladies!

Okay 6dpo pretend/actual symptoms include really strong sense of smell and a little nausea...

I have a FRER - AF is due Monday 10 August - when shall I do my first poas (I do have 4 frer tests - amazon accidentally double purchase BlushConfused)

FattyFishwife · 28/07/2015 19:41

AF came 3 days early for me this month, making this a 23 day cycle (2nd one after my MC) my cycles before the MC have been regular 26 days cycles.

I had a box of 10 CB digi OPk's, so used them from just before my app said i should have ovulated for the 23 day cycle, right through to the day after i should have ovulated on my 26 day cycle...peed religiously every day FMU, and got big fat negative blank circles on every stick....so ive no idea when i ovulated, or even IF....so am in a 2 week wait that either started 3 days ago, or today....and could be waiting for bugger all!

good job i have a stash of 50 IC sticks under my desk, Ive a feeling many of them will be getting used in the next 10-15 days!

chelle792 · 28/07/2015 16:57

Yes, it was private. Two of them came. They were very lovely.
And I meant reusables... Not disposables Blush

Have you ladies seen my thread in the feminism section? It's all kicking off with controversy because I mentioned a man bashing tv advert. Great fun! Grin I'm not a feminist, just live my life how I want but some are getting angry! Blush

We've finally had paperwork through from solicitors! Looks like we won't be losing our house after all! It's going to be ours in a matter of weeks. Massive relief!

ace how do you fancy your chances? Any symptoms?

LastOneDancing · 27/07/2015 14:07

Great news Rik, glad you had a wonderful day and I hope your honeymoon is just as perfect Thanks also hope your DH didn't forget to arrange the visas like mine did... Grin

Everything crossed Ace! Make sure you keep us updated on any symptoms.

chelle was it the private MW you met?

OP posts:
chelle792 · 27/07/2015 14:07

ace fingers crossed for you!! This thread has gone quiet for testing so at the moment you're the only upcoming tester we have, I think? Let's hope this cycle is a lucky one!!

Aceberry · 27/07/2015 13:42

We I am now in my TWW! DTD everyday over the fertile period - so gave it my best (well, DH's) shot!

I think I ovulated earlier than normal too. Anyway, testing now on 10 August....

Wish my uterus luck!

Rickalicious · 26/07/2015 22:45

It was absolutely amazing and I didn't miss alcohol one bit! Luckily nobody noticed either.

Off on honeymoon tomorrow so speak to you all in 3 weeks!

Hope there are some more BFPs when I get back Smile

chelle792 · 26/07/2015 19:01

Met the midwives yesterday. They were really lovely. One of them said a friend of hers gave her loads of disposable nappies to give away so would I like them! So now i have loads of nappy liners of various sizes!!

I'm so unbelievably tired today!! Yesterday we went out with the in laws to look around this house and gardens but I struggled so much! My body aches and I cant stop yawning.

Hope today went well rik!!

Isn't it lizzies wedding in a few weeks?

MrsPCR · 25/07/2015 17:21

LOD that made me laugh and put it into perspective a bit. The human body is amazing. We're all reading the no heavy lifting stuff, but our bodies are designed for what you're doing. They're not quite as fragile as we may think!

Chelle, I think the aches are normal. I get an almost constant dull ache, especially when sat in the car for prolonged periods. Sometimes it's really bad and makes me go quiet, but so far so good and no spotting so I think we're ok.

Hope you've had a wonderful day Rik!

Thanks for the support ladies. You're stopping me going completely mental!

LastOneDancing · 25/07/2015 09:20

Oooh Rik is today the day?! Have a fabulous one and enjoy every moment!

As my life currently consists of constantly being trodden on/squashed/accidentally kicked in the stomach or boob/ jumped on/ wrestled; plus being made to carry an almost 2 stone dead weight around several times a day, I am def less precious this time round than in my first pregnancy Grin

OP posts:
chelle792 · 25/07/2015 07:11

rik have a fabulous day! I'll be thinking of you Flowers

mrs p it's funny what it does to us. I keep waking up in the morning with both hands over my belly. Very protective! And every time my beast of a dog come galloping towards me, again, I get into a protective stance. Glad my words helped a little Smile it's hard to keep calm over it all though. I'm getting so many cramps and sharp pains that I can't help but wonder what's going on.

I'm so thankful that the sickness for me has subsided but the feeling of wanting to puke is so intense!! Yesterday I refused to go in the kitchen for most of the day because it smelt so disgusting (it doesn't really!!! Blush). I just didn't have much to drink all day cuz I couldn't even bring myself to go in their and make one. I just held my breath and made a quick one every so often!! Grin

MrsPCR · 24/07/2015 21:54

Thanks for you words Chelle. Makes me a feel more normal. I know there's nothing I can do and chances are the outcome has already been decided.

Sorry to hear about your fall Rik! Hope you don't bruise too badly. I'm sure baby will be ok as the uterus is still protected by the pubic bone. I know what you mean about strange reactions. I got my head and for a moment panicked that it might harm the baby....

I'm just a walking vom bucket now. I bruised my hip on god knows what running for the bathroom this morning, sick in my hands. Today I'm just sick after eating. Grr! Although dinner has yet to reappear.

Good luck tomorrow Rik!! Enjoy yourself!

FattyFishwife · 24/07/2015 13:49

big loves rik! take care of yourself...your only supposed to fall after numerous alcoholic beverages Wine

chelle792 · 24/07/2015 11:33

Oh my rik!! I'm glad you're ok. Imagine having a black eye for your wedding day!!!

Rickalicious · 24/07/2015 09:34

Hi everyone, how are you all?

I only bloody fell down the stairs last night! Not too bad landed on my bum and elbow but DP insisted I go get checked out in A&E. 4 hours! They think i have sprained my elbow, I refused an X-ray, so may have a lovely big bruise on my wedding day. No cramps or bleeding so am sure the baby is fine, they didn't really check apart from a urine sample but that wouldn't show anything as the hormones would still be in the urine at that point. It's only the size of a pip and very well cushioned and I didn't land on my tummy so I'm confident it's ok.

My first reaction was the baby and I got really upset I may lose it. I was shocked at my reaction as it hasn't felt real up to then but my mother instincts kicked in straight away. Once I'd got over the shock I realised everything was fine!

chelle792 · 24/07/2015 07:18

Mrs pcr. Bless you, the worrying is very normal, I think. I've been speaking to my therapist about it lots she keeps me sane! she reassured me by saying that baby has an instinct for life and needs to be left to do its own thing. Our bodies are literally just the accommodation and nothing else. I've put responsibility onto baby to do its thing because it takes the pressure off me. My job is just to look after myself and baby will take what it needs. Does that sound crazy?

Saying that, I'm the same. If I feel anything wet I do check for blood!

MrsPCR · 23/07/2015 21:13

Hello!!

Catching up on messages. How exciting wedding on Saturday Rik! Hope you have an amazing weekend. Remember to sit back at some point and watch everyone and just take it all in.

My nausea has become vomiting again. Love how looking ahead to week 6 on my app it suggests morning sickness may start.... Hmm I wish!!

I'm so paranoid about losing it, I can't even think past the next few days, constantly checking stats. I want to enjoy it but feel this is ten times worse than the 2ww! I've managed to conceive DH to have an early scan at 8 weeks. I think I'll be a wreck if I wait til 12. I've got a couple of weddings in 3&4 weeks time and still thinking 'will I be pregnant for that?' Every time I go to the toilet, I expect to find blood. If I get wet down there, I'm convinced it's blood. Even when there's none in my knickers, I'm convinced there will be when I wipe.

Argh I don't know how to relax?!

chelle792 · 23/07/2015 13:38

Haha maybe gas and air is the way to go. My friend was telling me that one of her friends is hoping for a water birth and has been asked to bring a sieve. I kindly let OH know what this was for and he went rather pale. Wink I'm so lovely Grin

LastOneDancing · 23/07/2015 13:19

Vag Birth After Cesarean.

I can honestly say I don't remember being scared at any point. Don't get me wrong its not pleasant but it wasn't frightening. To be fair I was off my face on gas and air so wasn't even sure what planet I was on Grin

What's vbac? Blush
I have romantic deluded notions of a snuggle in bed with OH and baby afterwards. Mainly just think I am a nightmare patient will be more relaxed at home and less likely to freak!

LastOneDancing · 23/07/2015 12:23

I wanted a MLU birth but ended up under consultant care so it was a hospital birth but I was allowed to labour in the pool.

Personally I will go to the hospital again I think as I will probably try VBAC but I honestly think labouring at home must be lovely in comparison to a hospital. My friend said there was nothing like getting into your own bed afterwards.

OP posts:
chelle792 · 23/07/2015 12:11

That's actually not a bad idea Star you're a star! Did you have a hospital birth? I need to be at home. I've already given baby the memo on that one and she's planning on co-operating Wink

LastOneDancing · 23/07/2015 11:22

Im sorry to hear that chelle Sad I know you probably have looked into it, but have you considered a final year student MW? They can still advocate and support but are a million times cheaper (so I hear). I'm sure I read a thread about it ages ago.

I'm extremely lucky that my Aunt was a MW. I was a bit Confused about my family member sering everything but both DH and I were so glad she was there for LLODs birth, it's nice to have that 1 to 1 support when you're vulnerable.

Yeah, I'm in the UK but am going to book in with a private midwife. I have a thing about strangers around my bits due to a past trauma with a doctor when I was a kid. It's, in my mind, the only way I can reassure myself that I wont have a stranger hanging around my nether regions!

It's all ok, just stress getting the mortgage sorted. Both of us being self employed has made it so so much harder!

Feeling a little sorry for myself, I think. Made worse by not having much work so having time to dwell on things too much
