London I'm not sure. I've never had an implantation bleed before. I had cramps 6 and 7dpo and now this, I'm 10dpo today. It's mainly brown, like old blood. It seems to have stopped now.

I always spot brown blood like this 1-2 days before af arrives but I'm not due on till weds so it seems a bit early.

I'm not holding out much hope though tbh.

Londonlady2015 · 18/07/2015 09:01

kitty is it defo not implantation bleeding? If not sorry and make sure you have a cold glass of wine tonight xx

auf when do you reckon you'll test? I'm due between weds-fri (cycle varies by one or two days) so I don't want to test until next weekend (unless AF gets there first of course!)

Pelvic cramps continue 8dpo, defo feels like AF preparing itself. Felt a little nauseous in the middle of the night but to be honest it was probably the vat of pasta I had out for dinner last night Blush

Hope everyone has a nice weekend planned.

KittyandTeal · 18/07/2015 07:01

I'm on cd22 and I've got brown spotting when I wipe streaked with red. I'm due weds. Looks like af us getting me early. Really odd as I've never had my period come early.

Boo. Onto cycle number 3 then I guess.

FlatWhiteToGo · 17/07/2015 21:36

Oh no Carrot- good luck. It's so frustrating how life/work gets in the way of TTC!

I may have the same thing in Sept. At the moment DH is planning to go away for 5 days right when I'm scheduled to have my fertile time. FX I either have 2 v short cycles or 2 v long cycles before then so that the dates move!

3Princes99 · 17/07/2015 21:14

Sorry to hear af got you Violet and weechops Hmm

Nice to have you aboard tho for another month before hopping onto the bfp bus xxx

CarrotVan · 17/07/2015 19:31

Possibly the bank holiday weekend but he's away all the week before and after - his new job has a lot of client site working

FlatWhiteToGo · 17/07/2015 19:26

Weechops - definitely stay on the bus until Sept! You can brag about all the booze you're drinking and lack of symptom spotting!

CarrotVan - that's so frustrating about August. Is there any chance at all? Eg if you ovulate earlier/later than expected? I hope July is a success though! FX for you x

CarrotVan · 17/07/2015 13:03

I really my July fertile period works. In August mrVan will be working away at the critical time

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 17/07/2015 12:30

london I'm also 7dpo. :)

VioletIbiza88 · 17/07/2015 12:27

Banana I don't know but was wondering this too. Because surely the day you miss would be more likely to result in pregnancy than the day after it?? When i do SMEP I tend to do four or five days in row following positive opk and eod before positive.

Banana79 · 17/07/2015 11:28

Anyone following EOD/SPEM know why you are supposed to miss a day after the three days in a row after an +OPK?

Vikkijayne2507 · 17/07/2015 10:24

I'm officially on this bus got 1st af since coming off mini pill after 1st baby so stats

Name: vikki
Age:28/9(next week)
Cycle: 1
Ttc number: 2
Testing on: 13th august

weechops · 17/07/2015 10:00

Hi everyone

Well as I suspected, af got me yesterday boooo! I can't really be added to the stats as dh won't be here until end of September, but I still want to sit at the back of the bus, and shake my pom-poms for you lot when you get your bfp.
I'll be keeping track of ov still as I'm obsessed with making sure dh will be in the same country as me for September ov! ( not much I could do if he wasn't, but hey-ho) fx this is a lucky bus.

VioletIbiza88 · 17/07/2015 09:10

Hiya hybrid bus passengers,

Hopping onto this bus as AF got me last night. My new stats are:

Violet, 27, Cycle 5(cd1), TTC#1, OTD 15/08/15

Londonlady2015 · 17/07/2015 08:00

Hello!

carrot flat white and auf (and anyone I've missed scanning on the ol' iPad) thanks for the reassurance and yes, can't believe how analytical about my body I'm being at the mo! Just need to give it a rest lol.
On CD23, 7dpo and all ok for now. I know people whose TTC times vary from one month to three years so it very much is a waiting game I guess. In the meantime I'm learning more about biology than I did at school!

birchy hope you're ok and hope your manager is understanding. Sounds like it's really built up (which is unsurprising) and hope the outcome for the appt is a positive one.

carrot must be annoying to try and keep track of. Over the years my AF has turned from 6 day heavy to light to 3 day v v heavy then spotting for a few days. Hope it at least means you'll be peak sooner than later.

flatwhite my OH has crazy shifts too. If this month doesn't work out we will be dtd in the mornings next time because he's on lates and will be too knackered when he's back at 11pm! Ah the dedication...

Have a good Friday all

FlatWhiteToGo · 17/07/2015 00:05

Aww Birchy you poor thing! I'm not surprised it all came flooding out. How did she respond? And how do you feel now? That's good that you can be upfront about things at work.

Do you know what they're sending you for? Is it a lap and dye? Or a HyCoSy? I don't know much about the latter, but have just had the former. I was EXTREMELY nervous about the GA (but not the actual cutting/prodding part!). I had a completely irrational fear of never waking up and got a bit tearful. It was all completely fine though! These things are just so routine so try not to worry, and the chances of things going wrong with GA are so rare.

birchygoo · 16/07/2015 23:35

Hi all just checking in.

flat white glad to hear everything went well. pma going forward

what's been happening in my life ..

well embarrassing other day told my manager that I have fertility appointment - thought it was best she knows what's happening shou!d I need time of etc and she is very lovely and I burst into tears which surprised me a lot as I thought I was okish with things. but obviously talking about it brought it all flooding out! I did also have af so maybe some hormones plus one of ladies in office is pregnant and the other lady keeps saying how love!y it is to have someone pregnant around ...eh so I'm not lovely to be around then as I can't get up duffed!! then keeps telling me I'm getting older I shouldn't keep waiting! AND she use to be a midwife think she would have more sense about her!!

I have an appointment for reflexology next week and fertility then week after I should be in my peak zone!
I have a feeling fertility is going to send me for one sort of test to look at tubes - has anyone had this/ know what they are. I'm also like totally terrified of GA - do you need one of these? I'm so frightened of not waking up. I join hypnotism in with that fear I could never do if for fear of not coming around.

so we have some testing this weekend...

This is only the second time I've had the ovulation pain Iris. First time was the cycle before last. The left side both times. Maybe my right ovary doesn't hurt when I ovulate or maybe I'm only ovulating every other month, who knows. I can't say I remember ovulation pain before that but then again I've only been tracking for a few months so maybe I passed it off as wind pains Blush Blush Blush before!

IrisPurple · 16/07/2015 20:26

Hello again!

Carrot your weird AF sounded a lot like mine. First time off the pill, AF came after 28d (my pre-pill cycles were always longer) with a pattern just like yours. I have no idea if this really was an AF, failed annovulatory cycle, early MC or chemical. I guess in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. I'm just carrying on with my next cycle, on cd18.

Are ovulation pains common? I don't think I've ever had any pain outside of AF...

Snowflake I've not heard anything about zinc, but my husband is eating walnuts and blueberries like they're going out of fashion! And our obsession with beetroot started way before TTC...

FlatWhiteToGo · 16/07/2015 18:29

Hi Snowflake! My DH takes the odd zinc supplement and eats lots of nuts (I think walnuts in particular, but a mix) as he read that it improves sperm quality. I'm not sure what scientific basis this has though!

Snowflake16 · 16/07/2015 16:50

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anybody else has heard if Zinc should be taken by DH when TTC. I'm sure I read somewhere that it helps sperm production or did I just dream it?

FlatWhiteToGo · 16/07/2015 10:52

Hi everyone Smile

Just catching up! Welcome to all the newbies!

Birchy - Yes, it's our vodka in my bottle. Smirnoff as well. None of this Tesco value rubbish...Grin. Yes - I have now had the op. All went well, which is great news! I feel a bit shattered and confused by it all (was expecting the worst, but they found NOTHING, which the surgeon was really surprised about given my symptoms). I'm obviously trying to focus on the positive (i.e. that there's nothing obviously wrong) rather than worry about what the hell these unexplained symptoms mean! I'm now nervously looking forward to TTC again. How are you doing? We're almost TTC buddies in that we've been trying about the same time and are about the same age Smile.

Princess - It's exciting that there are a few of us testing in the same week. I've bought some ICs in preparation as I've told myself I need to stop using the 'normal' expensive ones! As for travelling with a baby, I definitely think it will be fine. It's a fairly short flight, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Banana - my ovulation pain varies from nothing at all, to lasting a day or two. From your earlier post - that doesn't sound too late to ovulate, especially as you have fairly long cycles. I've had times where I ovulate on CD22 of a 28 day cycle!

Kitty - I'm sorry you're struggling to enjoy TTC. If it's any help, a lot of us are in the same boat. I know I am! It can be incredibly stressful at times, especially as you have no control over the outcome or timelines. I really hope things improve for you soon - it can't be easy trying to get in the mood AND have a little one AND have OH working night shifts.

MsGlitter - I completely understand how difficult TTC can be logistically! I'm often away with work for 4/5 days and then DH often works 24 hour shifts in the week and 50 hours over the weekend (without leaving). This means sometimes we can have more than a week without actually seeing each other! Most of our annual leave has been strategically booked, and I once even stayed in the hotel opposite where he works just so he could pop out at 2am for a quickie! Absolutely ridiculous and unfortunately unsuccessful. The things we do to try and get a baby!

LL2015 - that's far too early for anything to be happening. Welcome to the world of symptom spotting - it turns you into a crazy madwoman GrinGrinGrin! The number of times I've googled things at 2am (sore boobs, weight gain, sickness, dizziness, needing the loo lots, loads of CM, no CM, irritability, excessive hunger, lack of hunger etc etc etc) and have convinced myself I am DEFINITELY pregnant! That said - FX you're a lucky one and you do end up preggo! As for the drinking at work, I know how hard it is. In my job there are loads of client events (drinking), networking events (drinking) and team/office/firm events (drinking). It really stressed me out in my first few months of trying and I avoided all drinking and any occasions where I might be expected to drink. 8 months on and I'm a little more relaxed and will have the odd drink or two in the 2WW if there's a work thing/wedding etc. I still wouldn't choose to drink unless I sort of 'had to'. Obviously if I ever get a BFP I wouldn't touch a drop and would never leave the house or do or touch anything or go near anyone and would just stay cocooned in bed all day protecting my bump

Emu123 · 16/07/2015 09:54

Hi ladies

Great to get your thoughts on alcohol. I don't think I drink lots but definitely find it hard to give up totally. I usually do probably the worse thing and manage to cut it out pre ovulation but then get stressed waiting for af and hit the wine!

Am hoping this bus will keep me distracted. I usually feel quite positive around this time but still feeling flat!

That is strange about your bleed Carrot - definitely negative on test??

Banana my ovulation pains are usually off and on for a day. Fingers crossed it's not af

Banana79 · 16/07/2015 09:08

I hope you told your boss to stick it London, undociable indeed what a twonk
Strange about af, Carrot. Too heavy to be implantation bleeding?
Auf, I'm sorry to be so ignorant but why is having a short lp such an issue? Does it not give the egg chance to implant or something?

Also ladies how long would ovulation pain last? I've had it since yesterday afternoon. Starting to wonder if its af cramps and my positive opk yesterday was a pre-af surge Sad Sad
