So, after 9 years together me and dh have decided to start trying. Last AF ended 29th June, I should be ovulating any day now. Very new to all this ttc malarkey so no idea what we're doing really!

I'm already making myself worry about a BFN in a couple of weeks. Didn't think I was that broody but it's all I can think about! Anybody else feeling/felt the same??

Xx

I thought I was going to be coming on here to say it was all over for this month. DH got hit by a fairly crippling bout of depression during the evening, and I got so worked up about missing OV that I was in floods of tears. Anyway, roll on to this morning, and all changed and managed to dtd before I had to leave for work. Fingers crossed that I might still have managed to catch it, but will see about trying to dtd the next couple of mornings just in case.
Sorry to hear about AF Mermaid
I think the Morrisons ones were £3 for 45 tablets, but will have a look at the boots offers and compare the vitamins included

Inwaiting · 28/07/2015 08:03

Got everything crossed for this month ladies ! Seems there's a few of us xxx

E11Chick · 28/07/2015 07:47

Morning my AF arrived last night too. Means I can start tracking properly too as I had such a long cycle last time (47 days!). Going to get some ovulation sticks this week :-)

Sorry to hear that mermaid but like you said at least you can start tracking your cycle.

Mermaid36 · 27/07/2015 20:47

AF arrived tonight...sort of disappointing, but it's the first one since coming off the pill, so I'm relieved it's happened and hopefully means my app will be better at predicting my next fertile window...

reesespieces · 27/07/2015 19:12

They're on 3 for 2 at Boots quite often too

Emzlou15 · 27/07/2015 18:00

Lilygirl the seven seas pregnancy are £4.99 in boots not sure how much morrisons own brand is?

lilygirl81 · 27/07/2015 13:48

I'm using the Morrison's own brand vitamins as all others seemed really expensive.

Laylaloo20 · 27/07/2015 13:38

I'm having same issue with the ovia app too...My fertile window changed to earlier due to having ewcm and peak fertility on my clear blue ovulation test... Feeling happy I used the opk otherwise could have missed ovulation... Although I did have a bfn again this am so think I am def out for this month :( we dtd every day of the fertile window and throughout the month every 2nd or third day... Thought we were doing well and in with a chance of a bfp this month! Need to wait for AF now and that's still a while away as I have such a long luteal phase... I think?!still getting used to my cycle and feel really don't have a clue!!
I might try seven seas next as pregnacare is pretty expensive!
Good luck emzlou! I can't wait to get AF over with again to get trying for cycle 2!

Emzlou15 · 27/07/2015 12:28

Hi laylaloo,
I went to boots and looked at all the supplements and settled with seven seas pregnancy supplements as it contained the same minerals and the same levels of minerals as the boots own brand conception ones but seven seas was cheaper so have been taking them and omega 3 tablets everyday. Should be finishing AF any day now and then it'll be our first month TTC#1 :D

E11Chick · 27/07/2015 10:05

Hi mermaid,

I had the same issue with the same app this past month due to an irregular cycle! Kept telling dh "today's the day" about 5 days in a row I felt awful!!

OP posts:
Mermaid36 · 27/07/2015 09:45

Morning all!

My Ovia app is currently very annoying....it keeps moving my fertile window a few more days, so it started off as Mon-Fri last week, and has kept creeping along, so now it's saying it's Friday to Wednesday (this week).

My poor DH has had to keep performing, so we've 'wasted' 4 days of DTD, and now he has to perform today, tomorrow and wednesday, if my app is to be believed (I haven'ty told him yet).

I'm assuming this is because I haven't had an actual bleed since coming off the pill in June? I've been temping and weighing and charting my symptoms (but not using OPKs), and I'm now not sure how accurate the app is.

Blasted apps!!

lilygirl81 · 27/07/2015 09:05

Well, I couldn't convince DH to dtd last night, so hoping I get more ewcm today and I haven't missed this month.

Hope everyone's Monday isn't too bad x

cearstaidh · 27/07/2015 08:10

Huge congratulations Custard and hi everyone.
I'm on day 25, TTC#1, 1st month trying, but only just come off the pill so not really sure about my cycle length etc. Planning to test next weekend.... if I can wait that long!!

I've been taking Seven Seas Pregnancy vitamins since I stopped the pill, and DH has been drinking Goji Juice (V water). We've generally been trying to eat better, and we've cut down on the drink, although we didn't drink much in the first place.
We live in East Lothian. I'm 26 and DH is 37.

Inwaiting · 27/07/2015 07:47

It's the first month mine has been irregular.

I'm in Essex and on day 4 :(

Bluepigoon · 27/07/2015 07:25

My cycle was all over the place after I came off the pill, I think I only had two periods in about the first 7-8 months. I settled into a regular 30 day cycle after that though. I'm now on day 40 of my cycle (after very early mc last time) and have had an almost period the last few days (bit of brown, no red blood), so I might put it down to my body getting very easily confused (considering the post-pill experience) and count this as my AF this month (although she might surprise me by turning up in full force any day now!).
I'm in Sheffield.

reesespieces · 26/07/2015 23:56

Thanks lilygirl Smile

Since coming off the pill (after being on it for more than 15 yrs) my AF is 3-5 days, shorter than before. Have been taking seven seas trying for a couple of months and am on cd6 today. I'm in Leeds.

Congratulations custard, hopefully we'll all be joining you soon! Hi HorseyGal!

HorseyGal · 26/07/2015 23:30

Hi everyone,
You seem like a nice lot, hope you don't mind me joining?
Congratulations Custard! It's inspiring to read about people's BFP's! Smile
I'm TTC#1, stopped Cerelle pill on 6th July, all was going to be very casual, so not tracking ovulation or anything.... And cycle may take a while to get back to normal...
But now am casually symptom spotting & reading hundreds of these posts!!!
AF due any day now, but I don't have sore boobs (which I always do a few days before AF) and I have been getting some sharp pains and then cramps over the last week.... So hoping that maybe AF won't arrive! Resisted buying any tests yet but don't think that will last much longer!!!

Laylaloo20 · 26/07/2015 22:37

Hi everyone! My period has been quite short since coming off the pill (in jan) between 3-5 days! Never remember it being that short before I started the pill. Also my cycle length is so much longer than I remember it being before.

Are any of you taking prenatal vitamins? I started taking pregnacare preconception vitamins a few months ago and started DH on the male version vitamins this month!
Where is everyone in their cycle? I am cd28 today and think i ovulated cd 16 or 17. My ovia app says I should to a test tomorrow but i just know it will still be a bfn :S

lilygirl81 · 26/07/2015 21:30

Hi reesespieces the more the merrier!

inwaiting I go between 4 and 7 days sometimes, no idea why.

I forgot to say where we are, I live in Aberdeen so we are fairly widely spread I think.

Custard, you have given us all more hope with your fantastic BFP, hopefully we will all be joining you soon

Inwaiting · 26/07/2015 14:38

Congratulations Custard that is fab news!!!!

Inwaiting · 26/07/2015 14:36

my AF has only lasted three days this month. I've never had a short stint like that in 15 years! Any ideas? I've been off pill since last November (but only started trying in the last cycle we were careful up until then) xxx

reesespieces · 26/07/2015 14:30

Hey ladies, pls can I join in - you all seem lovely!

A bit about me, I'm 30 and DH is 29, we're newlyweds (I think!), got married in March this year and going to start ttc in August.

Stopped taking the pill in April as wanted a few months to get to know my cycle before ttc, am also using glow app and advanced cbfm to help with this.

Hoping to be relaxed about ttc but know what I'm like (a bit of a control freak tbh) so would be great to chat to you ladies so I don't completely lose my mind Hmm!

lilygirl81 · 26/07/2015 12:35

Ok, confused now, just went to the loo and had EWCM, but only on cd11. We dtd on cd 8, and I'm aiming for tonight and tomorrow at least, but is seems very early for me. Do you think I can still catch it?

Emzlou15 · 26/07/2015 11:46

Congrats Custard so happy for you! Good luck with your new journey! Pixie we're from Bristol.
