So, after 9 years together me and dh have decided to start trying. Last AF ended 29th June, I should be ovulating any day now. Very new to all this ttc malarkey so no idea what we're doing really!

I'm already making myself worry about a BFN in a couple of weeks. Didn't think I was that broody but it's all I can think about! Anybody else feeling/felt the same??

Xx

Hi Holly. I would keep it relaxed at first, just make sure you have sex lots in the middle of your cycle. You are still young so don't put any pressure on you don't have to. Plenty of sex is a good thing. Grin

Hi everyone, how lovely to read about the BFPs! I'm new here, 28 and DH is 29. Been together for 10 years and married for 2 months. Desperate for a baby for about 7 years lol.
Planning to start trying after my next cycle so doing so recon really and seeing what I have in store for me! All sounds both terrifying and very exciting. I'm torn between starting off casual as we have sex a lot naturally but don't want to leave it to chance and waste a cycle!!

I totally sympathise Breanna, well done for keeping it together.

Thanks. Today we went to visit my brother, pregnant SIL and 5 year old nephew. It was hard. I did very well being cheerful and enjoying playing with my nephew and keep a brave face on it for his sake. Then cried all the way from Glasgow back to Dundee, and most of the evening since. SIL was 10 weeks ahead of me and had her 20 week scan 3 weeks ago. We should have been comparing scan pics and chatting about it and planning to meet up during mat. leave. Instead she was trying hard not to even mention the pregnancy.

Oh brenna i am so sorry to hear your news thinking of you on monday xxx

Brenna24 · 24/10/2015 11:02

Hi all. I am back in here after a MMC. I had a bleed on friday the 9th. I got scanned and we found out the baby had stopped growing 2 weeks before and no longer had a heartbeat (I had been scanned 3 weeks before that scan after another bleed and had a healthy heartbeat, then again a week after that and the baby had grown perfectly, baby must have died the day after that last scan). I finally miscarried last saturday the 17th. Devastated but we are going to keep fighting until we have a baby. Rowan gets cremated this monday.

Hi ladies bit late to the thread

Like a lot you you i'm TTC #1. I was in the pill only for a few months then came off it in August at the end of a pack. I had a withdrawal bleed. I had regular periods prior to going on the pill approx 28 day cycles, then 17th sept had AF which was later than usual. I'm now due AF today is now day 31, I took a test on Thursday it was BFN which was dissapointing.
I've had sore heads for a week now which I don't usually get and have had cramps for a around 6 days now,
Is there a chance I could be pg or is my body just adjusting after coming off the pill?

Baby dust for everyone smile

Inwaiting · 18/10/2015 12:00

hey bonjourjellybean and welcome! When you think you're fertile i'd recommend doing tests every day. I caught ours by chance by doing a second test that day!

I actually got my BFP yesterday! We are both over the moon! I'm not too well at the moment though - got an awful cough, cold and sore throat. Hoping it will pass soon xxx

bonjourjellybean · 15/10/2015 12:17

Hello!

Hope you don't mind another newbie joining in- I have been lurking on the thread whilst searching online for support and its been lovely seeing some of your journeys from ttc to bfp!! Trying to get my head around the abbreviations too...

Soooo I'm 27, newlywed and DH is 33. We never wanted to have kids but every so often had a huge debilitating broody phase (cue crying in the street when seeing pregnant women etc) so this last time I decided it was time to listen to my body and think seriously about ttc. DH came round to the idea much quicker than expected and I came off Cerelle two weeks ago. I know its not been long at all... I've been on contraception since 13 and never had a break (different types though). Ive had pelvic inflammatory disease twice so am concerned this has affected my fertility. Haven't had AF on Cerelle for 2 years so have no clue on cycle.

Since coming off the pill- the day after I had a dull ache in one ovary (round about that area anyway!) and I thought (hoped) this potentially could be ovulation (dreaming I know?!) Since then my boobs are killing- to the point where I can't wear a bra and my nipples are permanently hard! The shower hurts them. I'm eating everything in sight, waves of nausea, achey stomach and cramps. I'm figuring its just the change in hormones but you know how symptom spotting makes people crazy! Anyway, like many of you I am trying to be calm and relaxed about it but struggling. DH is pretty laid back but I've been buying ov kits which I've been doing every couple of days. I've been getting a light coloured line (its a colour match one) so figured I wasn't ovulating, but todays was no line at all! Have I been reading them wrong?!

Sorry for the essay of a post but again like lots of you no-one knows we are TTC and don't want DH to think I'm getting my hopes up too early. xx

Inwaiting · 14/10/2015 22:42

Were you tracking at all or just seeing how things went? Xxx

E11Chick · 14/10/2015 06:44

Thanks Inwaiting. You never know, I didn't think I'd had any symptoms but now when I look back I can see that I did have some odd symptoms but didn't think about it. I was pretty suprised when I got a bfp! Xx

Congratulations sweet that's great news. I get to test Friday but think it's going to be a bfn. I've still got no signs of pregnancy at all xx

Hi girls.

Really sorry for the absence! Since we've been back from honeymoon work has took hold and I've been working ridiculous hours.

My friend got a BFP this week and we made a pact a while ago we wil be pregnant together so I've got back into the swing of tracking again.

Today I got a positive on the ovulation tests and dtd three times today so hoping that we are good to go! Nice that it's on a Sunday got the time! Lol

If things doesn't happen this month I think I'll book a doctors appointment to see if there's anything I can do to speed things up. We've been officially trying for 6months now (I know everyone else is in the same boat)

How are you all getting on?

Pixie1988 · 20/09/2015 16:19

Congrats to all on this thread who got thier bfp Grin

Brenna24 · 06/09/2015 20:41

Congratulations Casa

TheCatsMother99 · 06/09/2015 06:49

Congratulations Casa! That's really exciting Smile

Casa2010 · 05/09/2015 08:33

Hey! So today is the day my AF is due and we decided to buy a pack of tests last night, the clear blue ones. DH was itching for me to test last night but I thought I better wait until this morning. We both happened to be awake at 7 which is very unusual for a Saturday so I POAS and straight away the X appeared but I looked away and waited the 2 mins it said and the X was still very clear...showed DH and we are assuming that's a BFP for me!!! Can't quite believe it as its first month trying so going to do the other one later today or tomorrow!

Casa2010 · 03/09/2015 14:16

Hey!
That's interesting, I'm the opposite to you with that end of things haha! Achy teeth could be a sign!! I know my friend said Her teeth hurt loads when she was pregnant.

Good luck if you test Saturday x - don't be disappointed, if it's a no, try try again Smile

Amyyyy8 · 02/09/2015 14:54

Oh and maybe tmi but im mega constipated too! So strange. The muscles feel super tight too

Amyyyy8 · 02/09/2015 14:53

Hi Casa,

I havent got achy shoulders but my back hurts and so do my teeth :(. 12 dpo now and im getting cramps :(. Maybe AF is on her way. My temps r still up tho. Was 36.7 this morning. Planning on testing on Saturday i think. I hate being disappointed.

Good luck to everyone :)

Casa2010 · 02/09/2015 09:16

Does anyone else have achy shoulders?

Casa2010 · 01/09/2015 14:15

Ah congratulations Brenna!! :-)

Sorry no one else is having much luck.

No AF for me yet...tempted to wait until this weekend then it'll be 4 weeks since my last but I'm not sure. Still got the cramps and when going to the loo 'no2' the muscles feel tight! Sorry tmi!! No more spotting though, tiredness is still with me.

Amyyyy8 · 01/09/2015 09:26

So sorry bear Sad. When i came off the pill months ago, i was alllll over the place. Don't let the Dr fob u off. They do sometimes have a tendency to do that so just stand your ground.

Congratulations Brenna, super happy for you Grin
