Hello all, thank you for your lovely messages. I got my blood results back from specialist haematologist, turns out I am one of the 'only two cases a year' where glandular fever can cause such serious symptoms like large lumps in throat, passing out, night sweats, muscle weakness etc etc.....they were so sure it was a lymphoma as the lump I had was identical, and symptoms also identical. (have posted pics of the lump, google lymphoma and you'll see why they initially diagnosed me with that)
Most people just get a bad cold/flu/fever with glandular fever, but with my shitty luck I am a very rare case. Gotta go back to doctors in two weeks to have bloods done to check the virus has left my blood, cant have my fertility tests until my blood is clear. So will be a while before we get round to ttc again. Tbh a break from it will probably do me some good. Doc said complete bed rest and discharged me yesterday afternoon. I definitely think my mc's are some sort of immunodeficiency thing - I have had everything going from noro-virus to swine flu over the years.
Hoping the fertility tests will discover something! Got to keep an eye on my enlarged spleen and liver, not allowed to do anything in case it ruptures. Feeling better today though, so must be on the mend, still gotta stay in bed for two weeks though....

Congratulations drifting Flowers xxx

So happy for you, drifting! Flowers

fruitlovingmonkey · 19/07/2015 11:26

How's the wait hoping sakura? I'm spotting anti- symptoms. I just cracked an egg and it had gone off, it looked and smelt absolutely rancid, and yet I wasn't sick. Lots of boob prodding and they don't feel tender at all.

driftingclouds · 18/07/2015 21:27

Thank you all! Still in a fair amount of shock here but thrilled obviously. Trying to keep the crazy thoughts and worries at bay and just enjoy it for now-time will tell and what will be will be.

I'll lurk around for a bit and keep an eye on all of your news if that's ok. I wish you all so much luck and strength with your ttc journey. Thank you to everyone for all the support you have give me over the last few months-I hugely appreciate it

CarrotVan · 18/07/2015 15:19

Congratulations drifting. FWIW I have mixed emotions about those people who pop up on the regular buses to say "yay me, BFP" without having posted before or given any support to anyone. I always like seeing BFPs and good news from people who are part of the community which you certainly are.

Brilliant drifting what great timing. I hope you have a really boring and uneventful pregnancy!

Tftpoo · 18/07/2015 09:31

Thanks for the link adventure. I put my first post up there this morning, hope they like me! Everyone here has been so incredibly lovely, even though I must have annoyed the hell out of you at the beginning with all the questions and impatience. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and supportive.

Good luck with your ttc journey everyone. And special thoughts and good luck wishes to paws as it sounds like you are going through so much crap at the moment.

Tftpoo · 18/07/2015 09:17

Congratulations drifting! What fantastic news and the timing couldn't have been better.

Mummyofonesofar · 18/07/2015 09:14

driftingn how lovely! The relaxed approach definitely worked then!! So nice that it's just in time for your EDD to pass too xx

driftingclouds · 18/07/2015 09:07

Morning all,

So I cracked and tested this morning......BFP! I actually do not believe it. 7 long months since the MC and my EDD on Monday. This was also supposed to be our last month trying as we didn't want to go on indefinitely. What a miracle! I did a FRER and the second line came up immediately so i did a digital which said 1-2weeks. Am in shock. I hope no one minds me posting as I have always had such mixed emotions on reading others bfp news.

Exactly, that's where my head is really ... Work is what it is and I have to just crack on with it ..if a baby happens in the meantime that's an amazing bonus.

A really quiet weekend planned this week, just pottering about with DH and DD in the sunshine. Will be so nice as the last few weeks have been so busy! How about you?

driftingclouds · 18/07/2015 01:09

paws what an absolute nightmare for you. How are you doing? Did you get any answers today? I cannot imagine what you are going through but know we are here if you want to talk at all. Thinking of you.

adventure yes exactly-I think a break from
Constantly thinking about ttc has done me a lot of good. Feel in a much better place lately.

hi honey! Wine sounds good-enjoy! I do think stress can negatively impact ttc but sometimes there is nothing we can do about the stress, especially if it's work based. I hope things calm down a bit for you. Have you got a nice weekend planned?

Honey85 · 17/07/2015 20:48

Nice to hear from you drifting !

Honey85 · 17/07/2015 20:47

Thinking of you paws, what a stressful time for you! Hopefully it's benign and that you get some answers.

Congrats tft!

Cd15 today but not sure if I'm about to ov or not ... So dtd regularly just in case! 1st cycle post wtf cycle so not holding out hope for it to be a normal cycle. Stressful times at work so enjoying some wine this evening ... Feels good! Thinking about it, I suspect stress will be having a negative impact on ttc, I don't feel like my body could grow a human at the moment!

MamaLazarou · 17/07/2015 20:22

Thinking of you paws. I hope you get some answers soon x

Mummyofonesofar · 17/07/2015 08:19

Oh paws I wish I could come and give you a huge cuddle. I hope they see to you very quickly and rule out anything malicious. I doubt having a potential reason for the mcs is of little comfort when you must be so worried now. Get some rest. I am thinking of you xxx

Adventuregame · 17/07/2015 08:19

Paws so sorry you've got all this crap going on ! Fingers crossed things are OK !

MorganLeFey · 17/07/2015 00:07

Gosh, Paws . Flowers

Things should move very quickly - especially being an inpatient! Have they done blood tests too? Did you have any tests or treatment for the neck lump before today? Hoping the specialist gives you more answers & a biopsy ASAP - often they can take small samples from lumps & process them relatively quickly.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 16/07/2015 22:07

Scan went well, looks fine in there, no retained products like last time. I had a cyst on my ovary that burst but they're not concerned about that. Told them I have higher abdominal pain, they scanned me while in EPU and I have an enlarged liver and spleen. Went down to A&E as the lump on my neck is now about 10 cm and very painful....collapsed on bathroom floor last night. The doctors at hospital have admitted me as they don't think its an abscess, but a lymphoma. Bored shitless in hospital bed waiting to see specialist tomorrow morning, they need to do biopsy's to see if its cancerous or benign.
Asked doctors if it could be the reason for my mc's and they said yes. Not looking forward to tomorrow Sad

Glad you had a nice holiday drifting! X

Adventuregame · 16/07/2015 13:53

Drifting I had a mumsnet break about the same time as you ! I totally get what you mean. I needed it so much in the beginning but then I just started getting so down reading about the pain and heartache that I needed to just forget about it all for a bit which has really helped. It's addictive !! I've not been tracking either and thinking of just relaxing til after my holiday at the start of September then getting more technical up til xmas !!

My EDD that was isn't til October but I often think about how I will feel when I think of what should have been happening that day. Good plan to keep busy like you said. I like the idea of lighting a candle !

driftingclouds · 16/07/2015 13:09

Hi everyone-I've found you all!

sorry I've not been around for a few weeks-we went on holiday (which was fab) and then I've been on a mumsnet break. Although I find these groups a great support, I was also finding that I was getting a bit obsessed by the whole situation. It's been good to think about other things and I'm mentally a lot better off for it.

I can't find the old thread to catch up properly so can only read back this one. paws and carrot I'm so so sorry you are going through this again. Thinking of you both and sending you strength. Hope you are feeling ok.

tft-a bfp!! Brilliant news-well done you! Try to enjoy it as much as you can.

Welcome to any newbies-sorry you find yourselves here but it's been a lifeline at times for me. Hope your stay is short.

For me-not completely sure where I'm up to as not been tracking my cycle This month which has also been strangely nice! I think I'm roughly a week post ovulation but who knows. Considering testing on Sunday if no AF but we will see. In sort of other news, my EDD would have been this coming Monday.....not really sure how I feel about it tbh. As the day approaches I sometimes feel at peace about it. I still often feel
So angry that I 'should' be pregnant and I guess there is some relief that that will soon no longer be the case (does that make sense?!). I guess it's also true that time is a healer, even if not completely. I have lots planned on Monday so I will not wallow too much. I bought a beautiful candle yesterday and I plan on lighting that and having a moment to think. We are also going to buy a nice (hopefully robust) tree or plant that I would like to plant on Sunday to remember.

Anyway, that's me! Hope everyone is doing ok-sorry not to name check more but it's so hard on the phone!
