Hi sleepingpenguin

I'm sorry for your loss. I joined recently too after having had my second miscarriage. Know what you mean about ttc straight away. I just want to be pregnant again. After my first loss, I conceived my daughter on the first cycle that we tried...we waited 3 months as I needed to recover mentally but this time I don't really want to wait. Hoping I will be as lucky this time round! Just want to give my little girl a sibling.

Mummyofonesofar · 22/07/2015 08:27

Welcome penguin. Sorry for your loss. You'll find lots of great support here x

Sleepingpenguin · 22/07/2015 07:46

Hey.

Never thought Id be joining this thread had my first miscarriage 2 weeks ago. A mmc should of been 10 weeks but was just an empty sac Sad

Me and DH have decided to ttc as soon as possible. But I just wanted to say hi and hope you don't mind me joining in.

Sakura03 · 21/07/2015 21:43

Hi everyone, I have been away visiting my mum. paws goodness me you've had a rough time, hope you're okay. Congrats to drifting
monkey my body's playing games with me again, started spotting yesterday on cd26, it's carried on today but I'm sure it's afSad but it normally doesn't "behave" like this (2nd cycle after mc). I didn't expect af until Thursday as I usually have a 28 days cycle and I believe I ov' on cd16 which leaves me with a rather short luteal phase, should I be concerned about that? How are you getting on monkey?

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 20:24

I suppose what will be will be, and hope that whatever happens, happens for a reason. Thanks mummy x

Mummyofonesofar · 21/07/2015 19:50

Paws the choice is yours Hun. I would go for it. I also get that 'what if' feeling and couldn't stop myself!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 19:32

Thanks mama X
I had a HUGE show of ewcm today, due to O tomorrow, and although I know we 'should' be waiting for our fertility blood tests/results....i just couldn't help myself, thinking "what if this is the one and we pass off the opportunity"
So here I am now worrying that if we 'did' conceive again (which we have no trouble doing) what if there 'is' a problem that the tests would have picked up and been able to solve, what if we've just risked another unnecessary possible mc before we've had the tests? Why am I doing this to myself!!!

Reebok · 21/07/2015 18:48

Thanks for the welcome guys. Feeling like rubbish today but my little girl is helpful big to take my mind off things. Still bleeding and wish it would just stop already!

Good luck mummy and mama!

Mummyofonesofar · 21/07/2015 18:15

Thanks everyone. I hope so!

Best of luck to you too mama

MamaLazarou · 21/07/2015 17:25

Lots of love to you, paws. I hope the time out from ttc is good for you. Feel better soon.

Welcome Reebok and Emu. I'm sorry you find yourselves on this thread. I wish you loads of luck.

Fingers crossed for tftpoo.

Starting the 2WW again here. Feeling optimistic! Smile

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 17:10

Thanks drifting ... I've been getting plenty of rest. I am relieved! Makes me really feel for those who have to hear 'that news' I completely understand how it can change your life, and how 'out of place' and in limbo you feel waiting for the results! X

mummy fc this is your month, enjoy the holiday! X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 16:58

carrot sorry about your nephew. I hope he makes a full recovery and the treatment works. X
adventure I know what you mean, I wouldn't have thought the worst if the doctors weren't adamant of what the lump was...dh always moans that I assume the worst, but when you've got several doctors all thinking it's the same thing, you can't help but worry! X

driftingclouds · 21/07/2015 16:37

paws i am so so pleased for you that it isn't lymphoma. Although glandular fever can be absolutely horrible so rest up and allow yourself to get better-don't push yourself too quickly. I can only imagine the thoughts you were having-I would have been exactly the same. Thank goodness you don't have to go through all of that.

rebok and emu welcome to you both and sorry for your losses. Be gentle with yourselves. Plenty of people conceive on the wtf cycle and have no problem but to echo others-wait for a negative pregnancy test first so you know exactly where you are. Also try not to put too much pressure on yourself (easier said that done)-take time to heal.

tft try not to worry-I know it's much easier said than done. Spotting is common in early pregnancy and symptoms can be really different each time. With my dd I couldn't stand tea/coffee but when pregnant with my ds I didn't really go off it. I hope all goes ok with the scan. Thinking of you. Thanks for asking after me-feeling ok most of the time. Pretty woozy/dizzy on and off which I'm taking as a good sign. Been obsessively doing ICs and the second line is getting darker. AF was due today so it's one milestone down-taking it a day at a time really.

mummy fingers crossed for you-I really hope this is your month.

Mummyofonesofar · 21/07/2015 15:12

Welcome Reebok sorry for your mcs. I have been trying since I got my negative test at the end of May/ start of June.

Welcome Emu sorry for you mc.

Tft sorry for the spotting, I hope the scan shows everything is fine x

5DPO here, temp drop yesterday but they say to ignore the odd temp and it is back up today - I was probably just cold! Quite relaxed this tww, have decided to drink til it's pink - I have a holiday down South with my family starting this Friday and very excited about it. Would be fantastic to get my BFP down South so I can tell everyone face to face before coming home.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 13:22

rebok emu welcome, sorry for your losses. Flowers best to get a clear negative before ttc again, nothing worse than false hope x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 21/07/2015 13:18

tft fc for you hunny, 50% of women spot, and even bleed during pregnancy. So although I know saying 'not to worry' won't help, just try to keep the statistics in mind. I wish you the best luck for Thursday xxx

I'm ok, just in bed still. Looks lovely and sunny outside, bloody boring in here! Feeling better each day x

CarrotVan · 21/07/2015 12:27

Sorry for your loss emu

tft can you get to an EPU for a check up?

Adventuregame · 21/07/2015 12:15

Oh tftpoo try not to count yourself out yet ! I think mc takes away all our naivety about pregnancy and in most cases some spotting is normal. I know I'd be exactly the same though so can't really talk !!

Tftpoo · 21/07/2015 10:17

Hello everyone. I have a feeling my stay on the pregnant after mc thread is going to be a short one and I'll be back here very soon. I had some spotting and cramps yesterday, although am feeling fine today. I should be 6+2 but I am not feeling any nausea and I haven't gone off coffee like I usually do so I'm a bit worried. I have a scan on Thursday morning. I trying to be calm about it, there's nothing I or anyone else can do, but DH is away this week and I have too much alone time to think about it.

paws I am so glad you got a diagnosis and it isn't too serious, how are you feeling at the moment?

Hello reebok. I conceived during the wtf cycle but as you can see, it's not entirely plain sailing at the moment. You really do need to wait to get a definitive negative before trying again, otherwise it could give you false positive which would be so crushing.

Congrats again drifting, how are you feeling?

Emu123 · 21/07/2015 10:15

Hi, can I join please - mc at 6 weeks in March and on 5th cycle ttc 1.

Reebok - I felt exactly the same re trying straight off and thought it was the only thing that would make me feel better but personally I am glad we waited one full cycle so there wasn't any confusion as Carrot mentioned and it also means you're hopefully a bit stronger mentally. I think it can also make dating difficult which could also lead to more stress and upset.

Hope you're taking it easy and recover quickly

CarrotVan · 21/07/2015 07:54

I think lots of people have but it's important to wait until you get clear negative tests otherwise it will be difficult to tell if you're picking up old hormones or a new pregnancy when you test at the end of your cycle. This makes false positives a stronger possibility and makes it more difficult to date the new pregnancy

Very sorry for your loss - look after yourself

Reebok · 20/07/2015 14:19

Hello everyone...is it ok if I join?
I'm currently going through my second miscarriage. First one was in 2012...was an awful time for me but I conceived my almost 2 year old daughter 3 months later.

I should be 7 weeks now but started bleeding on Friday and miscarriage was confirmed today. Feeling awful but also want to ttc again as soon as possible. The doctor said as I have miscarried naturally, to wait for hormones to go down as they're still reading as pregnant and then after my first cycle, there's no reason why I can't try straight away. The thing is, I don't really want to wait. Has anyone successfully conceived straight after a miscarriage and carried to term?

Adventuregame · 20/07/2015 12:30

Paws Good news I suppose although you must feel pretty rough !! I'd be the same imagining the worse too - my DP is always on at me for worrying before I know for sure about things ! Here's to a speedy recovery for you.

Drifting the break from worrying and obsessing obviously worked !!! Congratulations !!

CarrotVan · 20/07/2015 07:49

Inevitable though. Glandular fever is horrible. My GP thought I had it after I had 5 months of constant bugs and was totally knackered but it turned out I was deficient in B12 and vitamin D but a few months of high dose supplements sorted me out.

My nephew has a rare lymphoma and has been in treatment for the last 18 months - chemo, radio, stem cell transplant - and is now on a cocktail of experimental stuff. it's wonderful news that you don't have it

I feel so stupid now, I was laying in the hospital bed all night going over and over in my head about how I would spend my last few years with my husband....if i could put him through that....and try to get my head round the fact I would never be able to have children due to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Feel so silly now, all that worry, the amount of shit that was going through my head was unreal!
