Keeping a record of your basal temperature every day. That is the temperature of your body when you wake up before you get up from the bed. The way it changes through the month will tell you when you ovulated and gives you a better idea of your fertile period of the month

AtAt · 28/07/2015 13:24

Thank you. I'm a bit new to this, what do you mean by temp ?

RalucaMorena · 28/07/2015 12:38

If you think it was period I see no point in testing. You could just to be sure. Also, I suggest you temp. If you ovulate it will happen in about 14 days since first day of period and then you know what's what.

AtAt · 28/07/2015 06:30

Morning Raluca, it seemed to be a normal period, just very short! I did a test on Friday, and it was a bfn. Should I test in a couple of days time, or wait till AF is due again? Thanks for all the advice Smile

RalucaMorena · 27/07/2015 23:45

Was your period abundant or just light? Could it have been implantation?

AtAt · 27/07/2015 22:20

So 5 days late, then AF arrived Saturday morning. However, instead of lasting 3-4 days, it was finished by this morning. Could this mean anything, or just my cycle going a bit odd this month? TIA

RalucaMorena · 27/07/2015 01:09

Cycle 6 begins. .. hopefully I get a sticky little bean this time!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 27/07/2015 01:06

Thanks Megan I've had nothing but rest over the last few months, life just seems to be one never ending waiting game.
I'm so pleased for the both of you, honestly....xxx

I have a question about progesterone and hcg? So after both my mc's, one mmc, one mc. Tested the day after each time and bfn.....that quickly!!! Is this normal, could the reason for the mc's be that my body decides to just stop producing progesterone, thus not further supporting the pregnancy's devellopment, resulting in miscarriage and immediate bfn?
If the pregnancy's were failing from the start and hormones (both prgst & hcg) were dropping soon after bfp, could this explain the super quick bfn?

Been researching progesterone supplements, they wouldn't do any harm if they were used and not needed, but doubt my doc would give them to me, what should I do, as if its a hormone deficiency then you need to be on the supplements 'straigt after' ovulation, not a couple of weeks into pregnancy when the doctors have finally pulled their fingers out and its too late.....AHHHHHHH!

seriously, this ttc shit is doing my nut in now. Just want to cry and scream!

Sorry for rant Sad

Mummyofonesofar · 26/07/2015 22:01

Megan I am feeling positive too. I actually 'felt' pregnant before I tested this time and feel like things are happening inside which has to be good. 4 weeks today going by LMP.

meganlilly89 · 26/07/2015 20:54

Yes paws I remember you. I'm so sorry to hear you have had another mc! And that you have been ill.. I hope your resting lots! I had glandular fever when I was in my teens was horrendous..

I'm not going to lie and say I'm not nervous.. Something just feels different this time. But I am going to be booking an early scan for when I'm around 7 weeks I think. I wasn't ready before now to try again xx

Mummyofonesofar · 26/07/2015 20:52

Congratulations megan glad you started ttc and got your bfp so quickly too. I knew before I tested. My boobs were huge instantly!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 26/07/2015 20:38

Megan we had our mmc's/erpc's around the same time if I remember correctly, well done you on holding out on ttc for a couple of cycles! We tried straight away, and after 1 AF we fell pg straight away!...sadly it wasn't a sticky one, and I mc'd again, this time much earlier than the last, at 4&3 a couple of weeks ago....
Nice to hear from you anyway hun, you will be fine I'm sure...my body's just a bit shitty, probably didn't help I came down with severe glandular fever in hospital the week I mc'd, perhaps I have some sort of autoimmune disorder or something...getting doctors to do bloods to test, hopefully they find something fixable!
Please keep us updated, need some success stories on here! Xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 26/07/2015 20:24

Megan congratulations hun, fc for a sticky one SmileFlowersx

meganlilly89 · 26/07/2015 18:41

Mummy is was 3rd cycle since the mmc.. Our first of trying tho x

meganlilly89 · 26/07/2015 18:39

Mummy congratulations!! I have had a break from mumsnet for a while. I found it wasn't helping me in mentally getting over the miscarriage.

I posted on here at the end of June as we had decided ttc.. Well on Friday we got our bfp! We haven't told a sole, but we knew I was before the test because how I had been feeling. The tiredness and headaches.

Fingers crossed xxx

Mummyofonesofar · 26/07/2015 18:06

Blue thank you. We have been pregnant before which shows we can do it again. I hope your stay here is short! This was only cycle 2 after my mc Smile

RalucaMorena · 26/07/2015 12:37

well then you just need to be patient. as I said, you only ovulate after you get a bfn and that can take longer, depending on how far you were when you mced. both times i mced at precisely 9w+5 although once was naturally and once was induced. and both times i had a bfn 14 days later.
keep your hopes up and try to stick to healthy food.

Bluepigoon · 26/07/2015 12:20

Hi Raluca, I've done a few tests and all have been bfn. I'm not sure when or if I ovulated in the last month, but DH was away for work for a lot of the time, so haven't dtd since 29/6, which seems far too long ago to not have a bfp by now if I am. I don't feel pregnant either - have had a bit of dizziness but nothing else. Argh, why does it have to be so frustrating! :)

RalucaMorena · 26/07/2015 12:11

blue have you had a bfn after mc? af won't arrive until then. both times i mced i had bfn 14 days after mc and af came 3-4 weeks after that. on the other hand our fertility is increased after mc so if you ovulated and bded in due time you might as well get a bfp and the brownish discharge could be implantation. i'm not trying to get your hopes up but these are the possibilities. Smile

Bluepigoon · 26/07/2015 11:56

Hi everyone, I MC at 4w+6 and am now on day 39 of my next cycle. I had all my usual AF symptoms a few days ago (spotty chin, crying easily) except period pain, which I usually get quite badly. I've had brown discharge for last couple of days but no red blood. Wondering when AF is going to turn up properly, or if I should count this as it. Did anyone else have anything similar after early MC?

And huge congrats mummyofone, it's great to hear people's happy news, makes me much more optimistic :)

Mummyofonesofar · 26/07/2015 08:29

Sakura someone on the mega bus got their BFP at 2 weeks late! You're not out til AF shows x

Mummyofonesofar · 26/07/2015 00:33

Hello all!
I'm Ralu and here are my stats: 37, ttc#2, cycle#5 (af due tomorrow and no 6 will start ), after mc#2. We have a ds but would love to give him a sibling.
After 2nd mc my cycle was all over the place. This month I actually ov on day 13/14 depending on app. I took a hpt a couple of days ago and bfn. Roll on August! :)
