Short Luteal Phase

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

I have no idea! It just says gynae appointment, nurse led. Thought I'd go and explore my options/see the difference.

Think my hormones just crashed yesterday! Hopefully I've rebooted and back on track.

This month we aren't 'trying' will be dtd hoping to accidently on purpose get pregnant by coincidenceHmm

I was an emotional wreck yesterday, feel much better today!

Got my hospital appointment tomorrow x

Thats good news about next month Sunshine, but from the sounds of it things are looking hopeful for this month alreadySmile

I've started feeling really sick as well, I know its probably too early and is most likely linked to this nasty cold I've got, but I've still got a tiny niggling bit of hope left. Aggghh I hate this all so much, I used to be a sane person!! x

Got a temp rise of 0.17C today - my highest recorded temp this cycle (today is cycle day 27) which I know doesn't mean much but still makes me feel hopeful.

9DPO today and feel fine so this could go either way. Have had the odd twinge which feels like AF but only lasts a few minutes at a time.

DH will be here for my ovulation next month (he managed to change dates so he goes away day after predicted ovulation) so if it doesn't happen this month at least we still have a shot next month.

I'm fairly sure I'm out now, started getting cramps like I usually do before AF arrives. Not sure why I feel so much more disappointed this month than usual. My temp hasnt dropped yet, but I've read for some people it doesn't drop until after AF arrives.

How is everyone else? x

I'm fine no symptoms but yet lots of symptoms if you know what I mean? Googling every little thing but know only time will tell. Still hopeful. As DH tells me, one month has to be THE month.

Hope AF stays away for you x

Had a lovely day out today, but just got home and when I wiped got a tiny bit of brown discharge even though not due AF til weds so think I'm pretty much out too, so disappointed I could cry, was more desperate than ever for it to be my month Sad

I know Mrs, you win some, you lose some. This month is going to be a write off too really as I'm away for a week from DH so not going to bother with opks. 28 days and hopefully I'll be ready to start my treatment with my last ditch attempt before xmas x

Got to have bloods done now (the letter to my gp has come through, here's to hoping they follow the advice otherwise I'm stuck), got my gynae nhs appointment Tuesday. It'll be interesting to hear what they say in comparison.

10dpo but that was with spotting, so a 'normal' 9dpo for me. Sunshine15 that sounds positive.

Oh Mascara well at least you can move on to next cycle and it sounds like body is getting back in to a cycle. How long was your LP this time?

Temp went up this morning from 35.87C yesterday to 36.20C today. Above the coverline and AF didn't arrive. 8DPO for me today.

Af is here! Quite relieved actually. Spotting yesterday and the consultant didn't think it was a great idea for me to get pregnant this month straight after. So I'm officially out. DH is giving me paracetamol and breakfast in bed. Good luck Sunshines xx

Oh wow, feeling a bit nervous now. I dont think it will be my month either, but we'll see, would be perfect timing ready to tell everyone for christmas Smile Still got a strong sense of smell but seem to be getting a horrible cold now x

Well fingers crossed I make it to Wednesday. Ill be pleased even if I make it to tomorrow without AF as I really thought today it would happen. I have to be realistic ladies, I don't think the is the month! So I'm not getting my hopes up (all good fun though).

How exciting! No symptoms as such but have an odd bloated feeling that feels different to bloating and a little like a stitch. Probs nothing.
