Short Luteal Phase

mascaraisamust · 05/07/2015 22:57

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

How are you feeling Mascara?
I've got the preseed (conceive plus) covered & I've started hubby on the vitamins. Might try Vit C after I've had my bloods done as I told the GP I'm just taking the Seven Seas so want to stick with that for now x

mascaraisamust · 11/08/2015 11:25

Oh and DH was on conception vitamins x

Ah they told me to wait it out. Said they need to see if I can sustain pregnancy naturally first Confused 5 weeks 2 days apparently, from last AF, so I'm guessing that's +2

Oh and I'm at the doctors now, couldn't wait until tomorrow just in case I need extra progesterone to sustain the pregnancy!

Eod and everyday when I thought I'd have a positive opk right until the end of the fertile period and for the three days after fertile period (my ovia app tracked I'd dtd most days of my fertile period and never really after it so I thought I'd give it a go as I might be ovualting after the fertile period).

B complex everyday
Vitamin C everyday 50mg
Preseed

Bizarrely being told there is no chance this month made me just go and have fun and forget about it a little.

It's confirmed in black and white 'pregnant' Grin can't believe it, I'm in shock! Brown spotting still here but very light, got the doctors tomorrow so I can mention it. Now I better chill out a bit!

Thanks mrs. I'll update tomorrow morning. Really unsure with the CB though as its so definitive with no lines to interpret! Has the laziest day ever. Literally not moved from the sofa, had no energy! Not like me, I get bored easily.

Fingers x Doobeedee, it's not like AF yet. It's lighter, almost like the end of AF.

I had bleeding around when I assume implantation was (around 6-8 dpo) then again around BFP (11dpo)

sunshinegirl12 · 10/08/2015 17:52

Phew, just checked and it's still in date.

Think we'll go for every other day, at the start of every cycle I think this time we'll try every day but I know when the time comes we'll just be too worn out. Blushxx

mascaraisamust · 10/08/2015 17:43

Haha sunshine I was getting into my temping too. The last few days have thrown me and I've forgotten to. I'll see what happens here and if it's not a bfp I'll join you on the temping front! Get the vitamin c down you (check it's not out of date), give it a quick google! Are you going for eod this cycle?! That's what I did, made sure I went past my supposed fertile period by a week too.

sunshinegirl12 · 10/08/2015 17:39

From what I've read light bleeding can occur at anytime during early pregnancy and is ok especially if it is brown/pink, as I think the brown is old blood.

So I'm cycle day 8, according to my app I'm just going into my fertile period so it's going to be a busy week for us. I'm going to get on the Vit C too, just found some leftover in the cupboard. I've been charting this month too, am I a bit of a loser that I find it quite exciting waking up each morning to see what my temp is??!!

I can't imagine how you must be feeling, I'm totally obsessed on a normal day Hmmxx

mascaraisamust · 10/08/2015 17:12

I didn't think I could have implantation after a BFP?! Is that a stupid question...

sunshine where are you in your cycle now?

Thanks for your support everyone, keeping me upbeat. Update me. Where are we all in our cycles?!

OP posts:
mascaraisamust · 10/08/2015 16:40

Yeah sunshine everyday.

mascaraisamust · 10/08/2015 16:38

Gosh I wish I could have been just one of those people that just happened to find out they were pregnant 8 weeks down the line. How do people handle the constant worry?!

That's reassuring Doobeedee. Tomorrow morning can't come quick enough to test again Confused

OP posts:
sunshinegirl12 · 10/08/2015 16:35

Could it be implantation bleeding? Fingers crossed for you. xx

I'm going to start on the Vit C too then, do you take it all through the cycle?

doobeedee · 10/08/2015 16:35

You're not out yet. Could be implantation. I had 3 days of it xxx

mascaraisamust · 10/08/2015 16:27

I don't think this is going to last ladies, got more brown/pink bleeding Sad

Read a study about vitamin C extending luteal phase (suggested 700mg) however, HB only sell 500 and 1000mg so thought I'd start off on 500mg. Ill try find the article.
