Short Luteal Phase

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

I was thinking maybe I ovulated even as late as CD25 which would put me at just 6DPO. Damn why didn't I OPK this month haha.

Still in the game. Still hopeful!

mascaraisamust · 16/10/2015 07:02

I would say day 19/20 looking at the chart. Go back to your FRER later and double check it just in case Wink! AF isn't there and that's what counts at the minute x

BFN on a FRER.

Today is 13DPO. I've never made it this far. Still no sign of AF and no cramps etc. I've uploaded another picture of my chart as temperature has gone up.

I always usually ovulate on CD18 (occasionally CD20) - this month I didn't OPK or track CM as was trying to be more relaxed about it all but does anyone think I could have ovulated later than FF thinks?

I dip in! I've had too many fail on me because I've soaked it Blush

DH needs to have a SA here too, we were thinking the same!

I always just pee on the sticks!

Sunshinegirl2015 · 15/10/2015 20:25

With the FRER did you pee in a jar and dip it in or hold it in the stream?

Good luck sunshine with the SA. I don't think it can hurt to say you've been trying longer than you have.

sunshinegirl12 · 15/10/2015 20:19

DH is nervous about his SA already, will they get him to provide his sample then or does he bring it in at a later date?! Blush I'm totally clueless.

mascaraisamust · 15/10/2015 20:12

Spotting rather Blush can't handle this predictive text!!

Same Mrs, especially after my b&n that turned into a bfp on the FRER. So much more sensitive. Best of luck tomorrow Sunshine x

Mrsunsure, if you start spitting again go to epau but if it's stopped then sit backs and relax!

I think ways best to use a FRER first thing in the morning - I don't trust the ic's

Sunshinegirl2015 · 15/10/2015 20:02

Cheapie Blush

I have a FRER to use tomorrow morning if AF hasn't shown by then.

Glad to hear spotting has stopped Mrs. I'd worry too. Really hope everything goes well for you. x

Sunshine, if i were you i think i would have to test again now, I'm too impatient Smile

Mrsunsure, I don't have any answers but really hoping it all works out for you. Flowers has the spotting stopped now?

DH and I are booked in with NHS docs on tues with the 'fertility specialist'. We have booked adjoining slots so have 20 minutes rather than the usual 10, we're gona tell a little porky and say its been 18 months x

Sunshinegirl2015 · 15/10/2015 19:24

I have no idea Mrs but if doctor thinks it's ok then I wouldn't worry otherwise they'd surely have given you something as a precaution?

I gave in and POAS. BFN. Nothing. Not even if I squint. Confused

Just got home from work. Still no AF and no cramp. No backache. No symptoms. Nothing. I feel fine. Really hope this is the month. DH wants me to POAS in the morning if she doesn't show. Keeping my fingers and toes firmly crossed.

mascaraisamust · 15/10/2015 18:00

They've not done prolactin or AMH...

I emailed three private clinics and only one emailed me back so my logic was to go with them as clearly they are the most organised!

Don't leave meeeee!!

OP posts:
sunshinegirl12 · 15/10/2015 13:42

So I have been looking at a couple of private clinics local to us, they say that a GP referral is required, I have contacted to clarify x

sunshinegirl12 · 15/10/2015 13:25

Ah good Sunshine, we don't want you to leave and Mrs its nice to hear how you are getting on too Smile

Maybe see what happens with your temp tomorrow morning and if it looks good POAS then (or do what I'd do and just give it a go when you get home!)

So DH is booking his SA, apparently they have a fertility specialist at the doctors so I'll go along with him to see what they have to say. x
