I was like that before I went to see him, I thought just take it with a pinch of salt. It's all mumbo jumbo but it will be something different to do. I won't deny there were a couple of random names I think he threw in for good measure that I had no idea about but honestly, the pregnancy thing, things he told me about my lost little boy, his description of my grandad, things about a work colleague of my DH, things about my DSD - bang on the money.

My DH is a total pessimist but even he had to admit he couldn't have guessed all of the things he said.

Your OPK's look like you are almost there - tomorrow I reckon but you just as well start DTD anyway to be on the safe side, certainly can't hurt to try!!

DizzyMerry · 13/07/2015 14:51

The bottom one is today's opk. What do we all think? Positive or not there yet?

Good to have you back night. Pleased you had a good time.

I can't get over that fran. I usually dismiss 'voodoo' as I think they read your body language but that is completely beyond me how he got it spot on. I'd be too scared to be honest in case I heard something I never want to hear!

FrancoisLaPrune · 13/07/2015 14:05

Welcome back Night glad you had a great time!

I've just had a call from my GP and my blood test results are back already and have confirmed what the five million HPT's I did over the weekend said, its definitely BFP!

I asked about how to work out the dates and she said we'd go from my last AF which puts me at 6w 2d and I should call back to get an appointment with the midwife in 2 weeks and they could refer me for a scan then. She also said I would be under consultants care because of the loss of my son last time I was pregnant.

So ladies, for anyone who is interested in psychics I can highly recommend the guy I saw last week. He told me I was pregnant, he knew before the doctors did!! I am in Bournemouth if anyone is local and wants his number!

x

Hello ladies! Back from a weekend in Spain :) any exciting news?

I arrived back to find my dating scan appt is this Thursday! I will only be 10 weeks but they don't do nt here so doesn't matter that it's a bit early.

Told family while we were away and our closest friends so it's starting to feel real now :)

FrancoisLaPrune · 12/07/2015 21:28

Thanks Dizzy

I bought CB digital so I could see it in writing this morning!!

I'm busting to tell people but my DB and his wife welcomed a beautiful little girl into the world this morning so I'll keep it to myself for now it's their time to shine! She's a right cutey, can't wait for some cuddles Smile

DizzyMerry · 12/07/2015 13:05

Congrats once again fran. Great outcome to a stressful few weeks and I'm sure your dates will be worked out at your scan.

Oops I mean Eoinsmummy!

FrancoisLaPrune · 11/07/2015 19:42

Hi eoinsmymmy welcome to the bus!

Thank you Wish and Miss I've no idea how to figure out my dates, i really think I ovulated as normal because I had pinky brown spotting at 9dpo and started the nausea, greasy hair, spots and achey boobs back then but that wouldn't explain why it's taken until now for my BFP! I guess I'll have to wait until I am scanned. I'll speak to my GP on Wednesday when I get my blood test results back and see what she thinks

Eoinsmummy · 11/07/2015 19:25

Mummyofonesofar · 10/07/2015 21:30

*every trust will be different.

MissMartin10 · 10/07/2015 21:20

i bled at around 5/6 weeks the first time then followed by spotting afew weeks later had my first appointment 3 weeks after my first bleed told the doctor i was really worried and he booked me in for a scan 3days later.. to be fair the bleed was so bad they made me do another pregnancy test at the hospital to make sure i didn't mc before they would scan me ..just depends on your doctor i suppose x

Mummyofonesofar · 10/07/2015 21:07

lovely they don't do them automatically. Everything trust will be different but the guidance is to treat every pregnancy the same until after 3 mcs. However I was told by my hospital that when I get pg next time I won't be offered a scan unless I am getting no sleep or work done because of the worry then they would see me. But it's not a given. Hope that helps x

Lovelyjubbly95 · 10/07/2015 20:54

I had a mc back in feb at 6wks....so yea was after a reassurance scan...

wish1406 · 10/07/2015 20:33

lovely they will only scan if you have a good reason. I had a bleed ? Mc which absolutely terrified me! I was lucky to be seen straight away on the Monday (bleed was Saturday) so I had an awful wait! But they fitted me in. Unless u have a good reason to worry, ie threatened mc or previous mc (in which case they offer a reassurance scan) then I'd say leave the scans for ppl who really need them. You can book a private scan at a clinic for 7 weeks like night did. Hope that helps
