Hello Mumsnet! This is my first post. I'm 28 and new to ttc. On cycle #2 cd12. Very few of my friends have kids or are interested in having them so I'm in need of some support!

I'd love to hear from others in a similar position and find some cycle buddies!

Hey folks!

I still have no idea if I have ovulated or not. I guess it gets easier with practice. I had one day of lots of EWCF and then just back to watery stuff. Anyone got as you tips?

Anyone tested yet this month?

Hi Daisy! I know how you feel.I couldn't sleep last night and all the stress/excitement cannot be very good for our fertility! Sounds promising - do you ever spot in between periods normally? I guess you'll just have to keep your mind busy until it's not too soon to test :( x

Pallascat - there is no harm in testing to put your mind at ease I don't think! And omg don't even get me started on cramps. I hate the fact I haven't had a period in so long. I get cramps all the time. Today I got really bad cramps and was convinced I'd come on but nothing :( I just want to get it so I can start tracking my cycle properly. Are you not doing any ovulation tests or anything? x

PallasCat · 17/06/2015 18:57

Hi babycakes!

Daisy (and everyone!) I was very much not planning on testing until if and when AF was late (which would be in about 10 days) but I've been feeling a bit off today (just slightly nauseous, dizzy).

It would be early for me to test, I think (I'm cycle day 19, think I ovd on day 12, but that is guess work really and I had what felt like ov cramps that day). So I'm now considering testing Friday or Saturday (I'd be cd 21/22 and - possibly - 9/10 dpo). Mainly thinking of testing as I'm seeing friends I've not seen for ages at the weekend and want to know if I can drink!

Thoughts anyone? Am I just getting obsessive? Input very much welcomed!
xx

daisylassy · 17/06/2015 18:45

Hi baby cakes, how are we all getting is anyone at the point of testing yet?? I'm only 2dpo and symptom spotting I'm sure it's in my head though and far to early ... Trying to stay off google and keep my mind busy... Best go walk the dogs keep me off the internet x

Babycakes100 · 16/06/2015 18:15

Hi all! I am also a first timer ttc. DH and I both 23, irregular periods since coming off the pill last summer (3 then nothing for 7 months). Doctors still thinks I'm ovulating as getting cramps but have blood tests due to look into this. Trying but can only do so much in current situation. Still, DH is enjoying getting in practice Grin #sorrytoomuchinfo

SinIckAll · 15/06/2015 20:34

thanks daisy and pallas. Hi all. I'm due to ovulate sometime this week, although I'm not sure if I'm having ovulation cramps now... better dtd tonight in case!

I'm trying to slowly wean myself off coffee before I get a bfp, I get terrible withdrawal headaches so I can sympathise somewhat with the antihistamines. sorry to hear you're suffering so badly though, that sucks Sad fx it will be worth it very soon for you though!

daisylassy · 15/06/2015 20:11

Hi Helen Ms sinick, I'm so sorry to hear about ur MC SiniCk.

I have only made small changes for now stopped taking the antihistamine which is killing me and really not a good look (puffy eyes Ms snotty red nose). Taking folic acid plus b6. Just trying to keep calm ... Start of the 2ww!!!

Helenc19 · 15/06/2015 18:51

Hi everyone im ttc baby no 2, my first was conceived while on the pill.
it's my first cycle after having implant removed so I'm not sure on exact dates but based on when I think I ovulated im 5 dpo and getting quite strong cramps. I wasnt expecting for it to happen 1st cycle so trying not to get my hopes up to much, not liking the 2ww

PallasCat · 15/06/2015 18:16

Hi SinIckAll sorry to hear of your MC.
Just starting out on this, so we've made no major changes (aside from the obvious!) - just 'seeing what happens'. Pretty healthy lifestyle for both of us anyway, I'd like to think. I'm keeping more of an eye on drinking, not going over 2 units. Only thing I've prohibited myself is painkillers as I've had quite severe pain recently due to an injury. I'm not really one for taking painkillers usually, but for this I would do.

SinIckAll · 15/06/2015 09:55

Hi all, can I join in?

I'm TTC baby number one. I had a missed miscarriage in march, I was pregnant on my third cycle. for various reasons I've had to wait until this month to start trying again and am coming up to my "fertile window" now (which is completely hypothesised, I don't do opks or anything like that, just use a cycle app!). feeling optimistic at the moment. I really hope it happens quickly again this time.

what changes are you all making at the moment to help things along? we're both on pregnacare conception and have cut back (but not cut out) caffeine and alcohol. I'm trying to get my five a day and drink lots of water. how strict are you all being? I'm wavering between wanting to be chilled out, and terrified that if I put a step wrong I'll either never conceive again, or will miscarry again!! [confus

DelphiniumStar · 14/06/2015 23:58

Hey labrador you aren't the only one feeling frisky! I think it's partly the positive attitude and excitement of trying for a baby for me.

I had EWCF on Saturday but only lasted one day. Anyone else observed the fabeled fertile fluid?

Loving all the comment although had to brush up on my abbreviations because nothing made sense first of all!!!

I'm only two weeks off my pill so very early days. Other half is thoroughly enjoying all the loving at the minute. Not sure if its just me but seem to have a libido since coming off my pill?!

Labradormummy · 14/06/2015 20:22

violet I have two boys and they're both black. The one I've had since he was a pup and the other one we rescued when he was six months. At present, they're both trying to squeeze under the desk to lie on my feet. They are proper mummies boys. Think they'll be very accepting of a new human baby but obviously can't be too careful. They're very gently and a little stupid!!

PallasCat · 14/06/2015 19:41

Ooh good fact Violet!

VioletIbiza88 · 14/06/2015 17:05

Oh and Moonpie I read that it takes about 4 days for the hcg to build up enough to be detected in urine, so if that was implantation on day 7 and you tested on day 10 maybe it wasn't enough time?

VioletIbiza88 · 14/06/2015 17:03

Moonpie that sounds positive, maybe just a little early to test says me when are you testing next or are you just going to wait till AF due? Good luck Smile

PallasCat · 14/06/2015 11:53

Hi moonpie Smile welcome! When is AF due?

Moonpie88 · 14/06/2015 10:27

Hello Ladies! I'm new to this. I'm 27 and DH 27. We're trying for our first baby. I came off Loestrin pill mid April. If I got my Ovulation date right I am currently 12 dpo.
Sorry if TMI but I had very light spotting and blood in my cm 7 days post ovulation, is this a sign of implantation? I tested with first response on friday (10 dpo - BFN) - I think I tested waay to early. I just can't help myself! I don't have any early pregnancy symptoms at all... I will wait to see if AF appears!

I am in the same boat as many of you, I am one of the first of my friends to get married and now who are TTC... I also don't want everyone to know in case we have any issues in TTC. I have told a close friend but our family don't know.. I feel like I don't have anyone to talk to about this..

daisylassy · 14/06/2015 10:27

Oh no violetibiza it is very early to test, fingers crossed for a bfp for Wednesday !!

VioletIbiza88 · 14/06/2015 05:59

Bfn today, as to be expected as AF not due till Wednesday. Oh well will try again maybe tomorrow or tuesday. Labradormummy what colour are your labs, males, females?

Oysterbabe · 13/06/2015 21:30

Daisy you can have a drink at the wedding. If you're just about to ovulate now it wouldn't have even implanted by next weekend so it won't be sharing your drinks.

daisylassy · 13/06/2015 21:08

I've bought the cheapies off amazon as well as the cheap ovulation tests all about 15 of each for under a tenner!!
The ovulation ones are working well I think so they are telling me it's time to get busy!!
We have a wedding next weekend dreading the oh why you not drinking?? We are staying over so I can't use the driving excuse... Fingers crossed for us all x

Labradormummy · 13/06/2015 20:01

Hi guys, was great logging in tonight and seeing replies and comments. Violet...yes sounds like exactly the same line of work!!!! I think I'll try and risk assess it myself and go for as long as I can and then tell my supervisor and do the whole back injury thing until I absolutely have no choice but to tell people. I know its only to safeguard me but it just seems so unfair!!

Yes I still have my gorgeous labs. They are my babies. The one is extremely laid back and the other is a little bit of a terror but they are 'labradorable'!!!!

VioletIbiza88 · 13/06/2015 19:44

I'd say the earliest its reasonable to test would be 10dpo as long as you've got it in your mind that that is very early and if it's a bfn not to despair.

VioletIbiza88 · 13/06/2015 19:42

Delphinium not really sure that I should be testing yet but might do one tomorrow, expecting bfn though really as it's still 3 days before AF due. Due AF wednesday and she usually comes in the early morning. Just got a load of internet cheapies that came with my amazon opks to use, they say they are 10miu/ml. When's everyone else testing?
