Hello Mumsnet! This is my first post. I'm 28 and new to ttc. On cycle #2 cd12. Very few of my friends have kids or are interested in having them so I'm in need of some support!

I'd love to hear from others in a similar position and find some cycle buddies!

Hi all I'm also in my first cycle of ttc and im 24. I came of the pill 3 weeks ago so not long, I haven't ovulated yet although u know it can take a while from coming of the pill (was hoping I'd be one of the ones that went straight back to normal though lol). I have under active thyroid so that may also effect my ovulation but I'm guessing time will tell. I'm hoping it happens soon I'm not very good at waiting and having things taken out of my hands

SinIckAll · 24/06/2015 23:49

Looks like a line tobe, congrats! Speak to your doc if you're getting any bleeding though, even after sex. Likely to be fine but it's always worth mentioning if you've had any bleeding. Good luck!

DelphiniumStar · 24/06/2015 23:19

Hey pallas, have a drink and relax.

I'm on cd27 now and think I ov on cd16. Is it too soon to test now? No particular symtoms but starting to feel moody (usual mps?)

tobe I'm no expert but that looks like a fairly confident positive test to me! Congratulations!!!

May I join you lovely ladies?

I'm 31, TTC#1, first month. I've got PCOS and thyroid problems that I'm taking meds for.

I've just got back from honeymoon and I've been testing since 6 days DPO and nothing (I know, way too early but it's exciting!). Is this what I think it is? We DTD last night and there was a little bit of light pink blood. I am also experiencing period style cramping. I'm day 12 DPO. Please help.

Hi newbies!

good for you for being optimistic pallas this is your first cycle isn't it? fx next month you don't have the same back issues stopping you from dtd. on my second cycle before, my bf had concussion when I was ov, it was frustrating but there was nothing we could do about it. why does the window have to be so small?!

today's perceived symptoms - I'm very very tired and felt a bit sick earlier... I'm ignoring the fact that I may not have ovulated and am convincing myself that obviously I may in fact be pg Hmm

any one else got any real or imagined symptoms yet?

PallasCat · 24/06/2015 17:10

Was pretty grumpy yesterday about AF arriving early (also v painful) but got some perspective and looking on the brightside - as I'm not pg this cycle, then early AF just means we can try again sooner! Smile Plus with back injury I think we missed some strategic DTD dates this month, so was never very likely anyway.
FX for you and thanks, Delphinium.
And SinIck, thanks and I certainly have! Grin

Welcome newcomers!

Hello everyone!

I took my last contraceptive pill on Sunday so now I'm waiting for my usual withdrawal bleed and then will be go go go with ttc! I am 28 and this will be our first baby. I have been on the pill for about 12 years so really don't know what to expect. We are excited to be ttc but I'm so nervous too!

Fingers crossed it happens quickly for us all.

DelphiniumStar · 23/06/2015 23:00

Hey sorry to hear your out pallas, I'm still in the running...

OP posts:
daisylassy · 23/06/2015 21:57

Well folks I think I'm well on my way to AF had terrible cramps today and last night so it may be onto month number three for me.... It's so hard not to symptom spot I do the prod the boobs thing to... Mind I get an itch and think it's a symptom x

SinIckAll · 23/06/2015 20:36

London I really wouldn't bother testing this early, if you're only 3 days post ov you wouldn't be producing any hgc yet and it will just be a disappointment. try to wait until af is due af the result will be more accurate then. easier said than done, I know!! I'm a terrible symptom spotter, I'm convincing myself my boobs are tingly and swollen even though I'm not even certain I ovulated this month!

SinIckAll · 23/06/2015 20:33

sorry to hear that pallas. have a Wine x

PallasCat · 23/06/2015 19:57

The long wait just got shorter... AF loud and clear (apologies to those who got this announcement on other threads!). So I'm out for this cycle.

Londonlady84 · 23/06/2015 18:59

Hi all. We are TTC for the first time this month. I'm 31 and am on cd22 of a 32/33 day cycle. Not sure as I don't use opk, but I think I may be 3dpo. I've been really bloated and tired today and have been having light stomach cramps and backache. Tempted to test but know it's pointless this early....I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot until ad was overdue Blush
I have my fingers crossed for good news for all of us!

SinIckAll · 22/06/2015 23:10

just checked and according to my app my af is due a week Friday. snooze! (I have a five week cycle). such a long wait

DelphiniumStar · 22/06/2015 23:06

Also af due on Friday. It's going to be a long week!

OP posts:
SinIckAll · 22/06/2015 22:31

ooh good luck for Friday. my af isn't due for a while, although I'm not actually sure when, I should probably check that! lol. I'm desperately trying not to symptom check, which is ridiculous given I'm not even sure I've ovulated definitely not prodding my boobs every five minutes to see if they're tender yet when I was pregnant last time (before my mmc) the first symptoms I had, before my af was due, were very sore boobs and, oddly, funny smelling wee (like I'd eaten asparagus!)

daisylassy · 22/06/2015 21:14

Fingers crossed u might of ovulated!' I'm dueAF on Friday so will keep you updated... I had a little glass of vino at the wedding but that was all... Felt a little sick these last few days but think it's in my head really ...if it'snot this month then best of luck to us all next month x x

SinIckAll · 22/06/2015 20:09

just a cycles app - I'm not doing temperatures or opk tests or anything like that because I think that would just make me even more obsessive! I usually get ewcm and ovulation cramps so I'm thinking maybe this is just a no ovulation month Sad, which sucks because we've been putting in a lot of effort! Wink I really wish you didn't have to wait so long between fertile windows!!!

DelphiniumStar · 22/06/2015 09:27

Hey sin, what are you tracking to spot ovulation?

OP posts:
SinIckAll · 21/06/2015 22:33

I still don't know if I've ovulated this month... Sad no usual symptoms. although I have been getting cramps in one side today, maybe ovulation... we're just dtd everyday in case!

Any symptom spotting going on for anyone else? when are you all due af?

DelphiniumStar · 21/06/2015 18:34

Hey everyone,

I'm feeling very sleepy after a long Sunday. Any news? I'm assuming I ovulated so I'm now in the 2ww.

OP posts:
PallasCat · 19/06/2015 17:06

daisy yeah I'm just the same. In theory we're just seeing what happens, but... I really want it to happen! I guess you're not actually going to be trying (and on here!) unless you really really want it, right? But yeah I thought it'd take me a few months of not really calculating and stuff before I got really focussed on it!

daisylassy · 18/06/2015 21:53

Apologies I can't type a coherent message on my phone it's my big fingers... I know exactly what u mean sinIck!! Lol it's tricky isn't it... I bought some of those ovulation tests off which helped... X

SinIckAll · 17/06/2015 23:38

Hi all, I'm still not sure if I've ovulated yet this month. it's hard to tell what's cm and semen these days! (TMI sorry) but do you know what I mean??

I haven't had any ovulation pains either, which I usually do... hmm only time will tell!!

daisylassy · 17/06/2015 23:00

Hi Pallasat, I'm waiting until af due day who am I kidding!! (I bought loads of tests off amazon). I'm going to try to hold out... It's so hard tho it like an emotional roller coaster already I didn't think I would be like this as I'm normally stupidly laid back about things...
I don't tend to spit between cycles but only been off pull a couple of months so I don't think I'm fully back to how I was...
