Hello Mumsnet! This is my first post. I'm 28 and new to ttc. On cycle #2 cd12. Very few of my friends have kids or are interested in having them so I'm in need of some support!

I'd love to hear from others in a similar position and find some cycle buddies!

Well after commenting that I was out this month because my hubby was away when I ovulated it turns out I am definitely in. Despite having lots of cramp my period was late and when I tested it was positive! Must have ovulated early or late. We have been ttc since Christmas but feels like forever. This is a lovely little thread and I wish you all luck on your journey. X

DelphiniumStar · 14/08/2015 17:51

Hey sizzle got a whole drawer full of tests...

Hey twll/garthy sounds promising. Why haven't you tested yet???

TwllBach · 14/08/2015 10:15

Good luck bananafish

So AF was due today but there's no sign of it... So obviously I've got excitement dripping out of my ears. Bet the fucker turns up tomorrow haha. Isn't it crazy how you start seeing symptoms that you would have ignored otherwise? I woke up thinking oooh I feel queasy!

My GP has told me to do blood tests on days 1 and 21 of my cycle though, so I bet it turns up on Sunday just to be awkward.

The 2WW is hard Delphinium isn't it?? I never knew or realised... I swore blind that I wouldn't stress about it and yet here I am. Hope you're not going to mental.

Sizzle81 · 13/08/2015 21:30

Good luck banana! x

My AF is due next week. Looking forward to getting it out the way so I can start the new cycle!! I'll turn 34 at the end of next month so a bfp would be amaaaaaazing!!!
Are your tests at the ready Delphinium?
Fx

DelphiniumStar · 13/08/2015 20:05

I'm one week into the 2ww and starting to go crazy. How's everyone else doing?

Good luck bananafish. I hope to cross paths with you later when we are both discussing baby names etcSmile

bananafish81 · 12/08/2015 17:26

Hi ladies

Hope you're all well. Well the latest from my rollercoaster ride of ttc is that my blood test results were so catastrophic the consultant has recommended that we don't piss about, and we're going straight to IVF. All moving very quickly but as my ovarian reserves have dried up so dramatically between the ages of 28 and 33, time is not on our side. I'm going to duck out of this thread and hop over from the TTC threads to the Infertility section.

Hoping you all get your BFPs soon!

X x

GarthyCoed · 12/08/2015 11:39

Just a cheapo clear blue thing. I had the same thought about pmt and testing!! Isn't Mother Nature a wonderful thing... I hope everyone else is feeling ok x

DelphiniumStar · 11/08/2015 16:50

It's a bitch that negative testing always coincides with PMT! Makes it harder to cope.

I'm still in 2ww. Pretty sure I ovulated on cd23.

Sorry you're down Garthy. What type of test did you use? If you're due Friday you would need a sensitive one (FR) probably for it to show up at this point.

I did an FR Friday and an IC this morning - both negative. AF due tomorrow, but I think I may be back on a longer cycle so I'll hold out as long as I can before testing again.

I'm away again from tomorrow until the end of next week, so I'll catch up with you all then. FX for all xx

GarthyCoed · 11/08/2015 06:36

Just did a home pregnancy test and it was negative :( due on on Friday. Feeling very listless and what is the pointy this morning now.

GarthyCoed · 07/08/2015 07:00

Ive been having funny pinching feelings in my womb, for the lack of a more scientific phrasing. I did get excited thinking that I hadn't felt it before so maybe I was pregnant, but actually I think I remember it from when I wasn't on the pill and my cycles were messed up :(

Sizzle81 · 06/08/2015 18:35

Yes Delphinium!!! That's a positive!

PallasCat · 06/08/2015 16:43

I'm going to be offline from now until Monday or Tuesday. I'm doing an early FRER tomorrow morning but won't be able to update you. Keeping fingers crossed for you all! xx

GarthyCoed · 06/08/2015 12:48

Sorry Delphi, I've never seen one before! Sad

PallasCat · 06/08/2015 11:42

Sorry Delphi, I don't know anything about OPKs!

DelphiniumStar · 06/08/2015 10:54

This is a positive ovulation test right??

Waiting, not awaiting lol...

SharyBobbins · 06/08/2015 10:47

Erm...I don't cope well with awaiting! I google too much and then end up spending money on pee-sticks, monitors, vitamins (his and hers), 'sperm friendly' lube (Shock still shocked I've done that..going red as I type!!), books.... Today's google topic is temping! So I'll probably end up buying a thermometer tonight!

DelphiniumStar · 06/08/2015 09:27

I don't cope very well with waiting! I try to focus on my health and eat well and do exercise. Then at least I feel like I'm doing something...

OP posts:
GarthyCoed · 05/08/2015 20:13

Hello everybody again... I have a quick question...

How does everybody cope with the waiting? ATM DP works away during the week so we can only DTD at the weekend. I also have spent a small fortune on home test kit things :(

Sizzle81 · 05/08/2015 19:55

Yes Delphinium, I absolutely need to step up my game!! Lol
I'm also finding temping a bit all over the place.
Fx for you x

DelphiniumStar · 04/08/2015 23:44

Welcome monkey, garthy

sizzle it sounds like time to introduce some sizzle into dtd. Can you mix it up in the bedroom (or elsewhere??!)

pallas that sounds promising!

I'm still waiting for cycle to settle down after stopping the pill. Cycle 1 was 41 and cycle 2 was 47 days. Now on cd21 and no sign of ovulation yet. Will just keep dtd every other day and try not to worry too much. Hoping for shorter cycle (or bfp!) this month. I'm trying opk but no positive yet. Also am temp charting but finding it unreliable. You need to take temp is same conditions every day and that's hard if you have a variable schedule.

I've told one friend (my only mother friend) that I'm ttc and keeping it quiet with my other friends who are all powerful career driven feminists, as am I, but I worry they may not be super supportive!!! If i get bfp, I'll be the first of my close friends. Scary!
