While I know GF works for some, I personally don't think it's necessary to cut out whole good groups unless you have a specific need to ie: intolerance/sensitivity.
I need to just lay off the snacking... That's my downfall. As soon as I get in from work I reach for the fridge! Shock

Drttc · 31/07/2015 17:54

If it's a chain Italian they might have a GF option- I have GF pizza and pasta all the time. May be worth giving it a taste to see if you like it :)

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 17:31

ohh the menu there does look good, ill have to pop in when next in london for DH appt

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 17:30

ohhhh ok! ohhhh will start gluten free next week?! going for an italian tmrw!

Drttc · 31/07/2015 16:33

Beyond Bread bakery was only about a 15 walk from Dr S office too- so highly recommend it to everyone!

Drttc · 31/07/2015 16:31

Hey Trying, I've been gluten free (with a few blips :-( ) since end of April. Have been pretty strict with it for over 2.5 months... Got the idea from Rosa as I know she tried that before her BFP. I believe it takes a few months to detox gluten, so maybe start now to be confident it's working for you? It's really not been hard at all! So many GF breads, biscuits, cakes, flour (you name it). Loads of GF bakeries, restaurants, and menus at regular restaurants... Especially in London. Went to the Beyond Bread bakery in London this month... Had a mouth orgasm over their GF cupcakes & cheesecake!

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 16:10

ps how many of u are doing gluten free? if u r, is it imp to do it just while ttc/preg? so for me when i start ivf? not sure i can do it for months and months unless I'm preg and having ivf IE NOW! I've read its helpful to people even if not coeliac?

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 16:02

oh ok thanks for that seeking - ill take 2 then! 400? what does are u taking?
i am about 7 pounds overweight, thats why when i get to that weight it STOPS! its so hard then! i did it 5 years ago for my wedding so i can do it! I'm hoping with the gym this time ill do it

Seekingmiracles · 31/07/2015 15:54

I wish I could just lose 7-10lbs. I find it so hard!! Prob because I'm not really 'overweight' just not where I feel comfortable. Hope you have a lovely weekend and DH perks up a bit.Smile
The 'it starts with an egg' book recommends 300mg CoQ10 for recurrent miscarriage x

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 15:03

my co10 came! hope it helps my eggs, I'm just taking 200mg....i hope thats enough? some sites say 600-800 but that feels like a lot?!

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 15:01

great to hear u feeling positive drtcc. maybe u will get a bfp tmrw - please come on st away and let us know!! i hope so :)

seeking i know its crazy isn't it. it shocking when u think about everything us guys have been through...and to the outside world they would have NO IDEA. I'm just calorie counting using my fitness app...loads of water, loads of salads chicken salmon prawns and some avocado nuts and olives for good fats! i find the first 7 pounds easy to loose, and the its SLOWSSS down. so not feeling too happy about it yet!

glad to know its not just me who has this on their mind 90% of the time! the move to london is getting more daunting and my DH work have been shitty since he resigned....hes really struggling right now so I'm trying to keep my brave happy face on to try get him through it...we have a fun day planned on sat so I'm hoping that helps him out of his sadness and he starts feeling more hopeful again. then i can go back to being the worrier! (although i am worrying - just secretly for a bit !)

Drttc · 31/07/2015 14:06

Thanks Trying! Reckon I got about 3 hours of sleep last night. Argh! I'm testing tomorrow which would be 9dpo... Hoping to see something there! Tummy has felt dodgy all day. Doubt a looming test will help me sleep tonight either! We leave tomorrow morning and come back on Monday... Hoping for a good weekend! Can totally relate to going in and out of obsessing. During the 2ww is all I can think of, and outside that it can all feel so out of reach :( But we know it just takes that one healthy BFP to change everything and make it all worth it. Well done on the weightloss! It can be so hard, but when you're on a roll it's great.

Aww Seeking that is such a cute name :) I've been eating for 2 full grown women these last few months while staying somewhat active. Good diet is so important- which is why I've put on so much weight! Slowing getting back to normal though so maybe we'll all be healthier AND preggo in the next few months ;)

Seekingmiracles · 31/07/2015 13:36

He's called Loki Drttc. Smile He's sooo gorgeous!
Good luck for testing tomorrow and for the wedding... Hope bitch face keeps her distance.

I find when I'm doing massages and facials at work are the times when I think about it all the most. I can't get over how much has happened in the last 2 years! It's crazy that one person can go through so much in such a short amount of time.
What are you doing to lose weight Trying?? Well done so far!! I seriously need to get a grip of my diet! Been running quite a lot just need to concentrate on what i put in my mouth!

Tryingno1 · 31/07/2015 10:51

dr sorry u were up! its very annoying isn't it, but like u say anything for a baby! are u testing tmrw or was it this am? good luck for wedding too and try stay away from the lady!

hula, hope ur staying calm in the 2ww and ur little one is recovered

seeking yay! I'm glad for u, enjoy taking him for walks and cuddles

don't have too much to report, still having some bad days where I'm all doom and gloom and never think this is going to work out. then have some days where I'm totally fine. i find it VERY difficult to switch off from this stuff...i don't know how to just STOP worrying and thinking. i didn't think about it all on holiday, but i can't always be away!!! are any of u like this? when I'm out and with friends I'm fine but at home relaxing and watching TV its all i can think off... on a happier note my diet is going well and I've lost 4 pounds yay. only another 10 to go?! its not very fun! but have 2 months to do it in (by argc appt i will be BMI to under 24!)

Drttc · 31/07/2015 03:37

That's so wonderful Seeking! What's his name?

Indeed Hula!

Remember all that Pred side effect talk? I've now got the classic Pred insomnia! Woke up at 2:30 and still can't get back to sleep.... Boo! Walked 9 miles today so should be sleeping no problem. Anything for baby though!

Hula2 · 30/07/2015 13:08

Yep Dr will prob test 10dpo (hate early testing but would kick myself if l was late starting meds). Its a pain when test day falls on a day something else is going on as i find that bfn can really put a downer on things and takes 24hrs to pick urself up again so i d try 9dpo.

Glad the puppy is helping Seeking, sounds just what u need.

Seekingmiracles · 30/07/2015 12:13

Puppy is sooo cute Drttc, so happy we got him. He's really taken my mind off everything. It's amazing how animals can help mend a breaking heart.
Fingers crossed for two bfps next week girls! Grin

Drttc · 30/07/2015 09:22

You're right Hula- I need to be patient! Well fc for you this month & at least now you have a plan in place for next cycle (if needed) that's less confusing. Are you testing 10dpo? I'm thinking I may do 9dpo as I got the FAINTEST + last time (almost couldn't see it)... Mainly because I'll be away this weekend and would rather know before the morning of the wedding (if possible)!

How's puppy life Seeking :) ?

Seekingmiracles · 30/07/2015 09:08

Thanks Ladies Smile

So two of you in the tww....hope you're both lucky this month.
I'm ready for this cycle to be over again...not trying so just want it done and dusted. Only cd16 though so a while yet!

Hula2 · 29/07/2015 20:56

Seeking - SOOOO relieved for you. Thats the trouble with all this is that even with immune issue etc treated we cant do anything about random chromosome probs cropping up but i d say this is very positive for tx working next time.

Thanks tina for yoga tips, i did a gym body balance class when ttc ds and found it very beneficial but its a bit harder to fit it in now but really should try something again, esp if it can ward off the insomnia. R u in your tww then ? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Dr - don t think i ve ever had symptoms b4 10dpo but if ur on pred i basically don t think you can rely on any signs either way. Presume ur testing at 10 dpo ? Fingers crossed for a bfp.

Finally spoke to mr s about scan, he agreed looked like i d ov already and said if i thought that happened again to just cancel the scan. So 10mg again nxt mn and no later than day 10 scan. Did a temp this morning and was a very convincingly high post ov one so makes me also in the tww.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 29/07/2015 20:54

Great news seeking, another obstacle overcome!

Drttc · 29/07/2015 16:56

Seeking that is good news. Makes things look very positive for next time. Hope you're feeling better about the future now!

Tina- I've been wanting to try yoga for years! I'm just so stiff lol Will get around to it sometime though...

And yes Hula- hoping you've caught that egg/eggs!!

How's things with you Trying?

I'm just here, plodding through the tww! Only 6dpo... Can anyone remember when symptoms kick in? Is it always post implantation? I've had a headache and nausea today but thinking it may have been the Pred?

Tryingno1 · 29/07/2015 15:16

hi guys

seeking what a HUGE relief! i hope they are comprehensive enough. sadly ur last pg was prob a one off rare thing....and ur on TX it will work next time. its just crappy that at ur age despite the tx nothing can be done for chromosomal problems......hope ur feeling better

tina and lisa welcome. hope u find being here useful! tina thats great to know, I've never done yoga but think i should start to help chill me out! is it good for people who have never done yoga and are not v flexible!!!

hula got my fingers crossed for u this cycle!

Tina84 · 29/07/2015 13:59

Hi ladies,
Something I wanted to share for insomnia as a result of pred, yoga! I love yoga and since trying and started pred, I was a bit cautious, because I know certain postures aren't good when trying to conceive and during pregnancy. I started doing pregnancy vyniasa flow and got a video by Tara Lee for pregnancy, it's has lots of amazing reviews. I slept like a baby for the last couple of nights and feel really refreshed, so thought share this experience with everyone, might work for you too.

Seekingmiracles · 29/07/2015 13:49

Hi Ladies,
Just collected the results of our chromosome analysis, it appears DH and I are both 'normal'. I'm so relieved. Have sent them to DrS for him to look at, in case they're not thorough enough.

Hope you're all having a good day.

I typically ovulate around day18/19 and my acupuncturist has been trying to bring it down! I'm happy to ovulate anywhere between cd13-16. I think left too long, eggs can deteriorate.
