Thanks Hula!

Awww that's great, Seeking. We really need those moments of peace. Sending you a big hug!

Haha Snoopy- that is probably a great idea!!

Glad you're doing well Rosa! Here's hoping you find a way to ease those back pains.

Trying- I bough that book but haven't read it...

I've been having my wobbly moments! The combination of a failed cycle, being at a wedding surrounded by children, staying with a bitchy pregnant girl, and several people deciding to publicly ask us when we're having kids = so emotional! I can't believe how blunt people can be in a group :( Felt like it was written across our foreheads that we found the question upsetting. Ugh! I've now spent £61 on this month's: pregnacare plus, pre-seed, Ubiquinol, pregnancy tests, and robutussin (first try at that)! Bloody expensive!

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 17:01

Hey guys
Do u advise starts with the egg book? Prob have 3 months before next cycle so keen to get stuff tip top.
I'm on co enzyme, omega3, vit d I have a plastic free water bottle, I eat a fairly balanced diet and am reducing gluten but not 100 percent....will the book give me some more info??

Tryingno1 · 05/08/2015 13:58

Rosa27 · 05/08/2015 11:06

Ps meant from Pret!

Rosa27 · 05/08/2015 11:05

Interesting - I drank the big beetroot & apple juice Mon-Fri for years .. It's now smaller though.. Anyway was told at my SO scan my lining was v thick so maybe some truth.
Hope all doing ok despite the trials and tribulations of drugs, waiting and bitchy wedding guests.. Really the last thing you need!
I'm ok but not sleeping well and sore back. Need to get exercising. Also need to fly next week to London and worried as not flown since right before last miscarriage but 4 1/2 hrs on a train is a killer with a sore back so hope will be ok. X

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 05/08/2015 06:02

Hi hula, how are you? I made the list for another role, but there's no definitive start date so still in limbo really and I don't know where it leaves the two attachments I lined up in case I didn't get the other job because our borough has said you are only allowed to apply for one role at any specific time, totally against employment law and regulations but since when did they matter Sad

Good luck lisa!

drttc have you considered getting a punching bag and sticking a picture of that woman's face on it?

trying I also heard good things about beetroot juice. I love beetroot and hula is right, the juice is actually quite pleasant, but messy if you're making it at home!

Hula2 · 04/08/2015 20:48

Drttc - glad you survived the wedding and it had some good points. You DH sounds amazing and i m sure together you ll get there.

Seeking - how cute is Loki. Bet he s full of mischief.

Good luck Lisa, i guess you ll be testing in a week. Fingers crossed for that bfp.

Trying - i just came across something on a fertility nutrionalists site (melanie brown) which i thought might be useful for you re lining:
' For women undergoing IVF with thin uterine lining I often recommend 300mls of beetroot juice a day until embryo transfer. Beetroot contains nitric oxide which dilates blood vessels allowing a rich supply of oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood to flow to the uterus and ovaries '.
Beetroot on its own might be a bit hard but beetroot apple orange and carrot makes a great juice (ds loves it!)

Snoopy - how are you doing ? How s work ?

Hi to everyone else.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 04/08/2015 18:35

Oh my goodness seeking, Loki is gorgeous! I could just cuddle him all day. He's going to be a very handsome boy when he grows up!

Seekingmiracles · 03/08/2015 22:05

I'm ok thanks lovely. Actually today I was just thinking... I feel good again. Yes it's always on my mind but it doesn't hurt the way it used to. I've made peace with the fact that I'm not pregnant, trying not to think too far ahead. I know I will get there one day.

Drttc · 03/08/2015 21:26

Thank you, Lisa! Really appreciate your kind words :) How are you feeling about treatment? Please keep us updated!

Hey, Seeking! Thanks :) Yes in many respects we are a lucky group... DH always knows (even though I've never voiced concerned) when to look me in the eyes and say 'You're everything I need'. Problem is, they're so lovely that we want to make their babies lol! How are you feeling? Awww give Loki a cuddle from me!

Lisachick1 · 03/08/2015 21:03

Sent my msg again before reading all the others! Glad wedding was ok in the end - alcohol can be a wonderful thing!

Seekingmiracles · 03/08/2015 20:55

Glad that despite your worries, you had a good time Dr. Other people drama is really entertaining, aside from our pregnancy issues, we all seem to have amazingly supportive partners and loving relationships....not something everyone can say confidently.

PS..Loki says Hi Smile

Lisachick1 · 03/08/2015 20:53

Hey Drttc I've not been on here much or for as long as most of you guys but really just wanted to say so sorry for your bfn, sorry you've been so upset, I am the same everytime it happens or when AF arrives.
Hope the wedding wasn't too much of a nightmare! Least it's over now.
Am on day 3 of preds, so far no side effects but we'll see....
Hope you're all ok xx

Drttc · 03/08/2015 15:44

Hey! Tbh it had its highs and lows. It was really hard when people were asking us about when we were having children, and telling us how different life is when you're parent... Like they're trying to convince us! It ended on a high though. DH was really there for me, we danced a lot, and there were loads of people with their own drunken dramas (entertaining) lol!

Trying- yes I saw Mark Zuckerbergs story!!! Couldn't believe it! Made us feel so much less alone. It's wonderful he's gone public with that.

Tryingno1 · 02/08/2015 15:56

How did it go drtcc?
Hope newbees are ok on the pred!

Seekingmiracles · 02/08/2015 12:26

Sorry for your bfn Dr, I hope today goes as smoothly as possible. I agree with the others, just drink through it! It's so hard when you think about things like that - how far along you'd have been.
Stay strong Hun, you will get there, stay strong x

Hula2 · 02/08/2015 11:31

Sorry Drttc sounds like bloody torture for you, you re not alone, we re here if u need to come and rant ! I remember last yr at my sisters wedding when i had just mc a few wks b4 at least 5 people asked when we were having another, its horrid to have to put on a brave face when inside your heart is breaking. As Trying said its a good argument for drowning your sorrows !

Tryingno1 · 02/08/2015 10:30

So sorry drtcc...it's really hard :( im sorry u are stuck with the stupud women on top of it all. I would drink a lot to get me through it! I think it's required in this situation and stick by ur DH when u can...just remember your not alone and u will get through this on the other side, Its just not ur time yet but I'm sure it will come. Flowers

Ps did you hear about zuchenberg post on facebook?

Drttc · 02/08/2015 09:42

Thanks everyone! BFN today as well. I've been so upset it's actually just boring at this point. And of course, because my husband is in the wedding party, he was asked to be at the venue 6+hrs before the ceremony! So I'm currently stuck with bitchy girl allllllll day. I can hear her banging on about things in another room as I type. She's SO loud! I usually love a good wedding- but being the plus 1 for a wedding party member has got to be one of the worst positions. The only people I know are rude :( And now I feel like an idiot for sounding so negative! I think there's an extra sting to it because for a while I believed I would be 6-7 months pregnant at this wedding. I really expected that would be my life. And instead, I'm 4 miscarriages down, while the girl who publicly said she would never have kids is pregnant. Such an empty feeling. I really hope you are all having a much better Sunday than me!! Forgive my doom and gloom :(

Hula2 · 01/08/2015 10:21

Sorry about the bfn Dr but i d guess the clear blue are less sensitive than a frer as they say u can test 4 days early and frers say 6 so hopefully just too early. Hope the wedding goes ok.

Seekingmiracles · 01/08/2015 10:07

Sorry for the bfn Drttc, hope it's just too early. Enjoy the wedding and unleash your inner bitch if need be. A snide little remark here or there won't hurt her!
I wish the snack were hummus and carrots! Ha ha! Going shopping tonight so will make sure I have loads of healthy stuff and start as I mean took on on Monday!
Have a fab weekend girls, at least the sun is shining! I'm at work til 5 which sucks! Hmm

Tryingno1 · 01/08/2015 09:52

Sorry about the bfn but 9dpo is very early! I hope it changes tmrw. Enjoy the wedding and hope the girl behaves!
Thanks for that info hula really helpful! I don't eat much red meat and I have a lot of eggs and fish so think my diet is pretty good when I'm on a diet! I looked through my log of food and actually when I'm dieting I don't have much gluten as I tend to sta away from carbs and cakes etc. I think this diet is going to be a long one so hopefully I'll continue to be healthy!
Seeking don't worry if u snack! If ur weight is healthy a snack is a small comfort after a hard days work and what we r going through! I have carrots and hummous always in fridge to grab for a snack!
Snoopy I hope work is ok? Has ur AF arrived yet??
Have good weekends everyone xxx

Drttc · 01/08/2015 07:30

BFN this morning! I'll test tomorrow at 10dpo again... Unfortunately I didnt have any FRER's so hoping the clearblue easy plus tests are sensitive enough!

Hula2 · 31/07/2015 20:44

Trying - welldone on the diet. I def find it hard not to be thinking about ttc/mc etc unless distracted by work or something else. Since its now 2yrs for this one and plus another 2 years for DS i m actually looking forward to one day when its not constantly at the back of my mind (whether thats because i ve been sucessful or not).

Re the q10 the dose is different depending on which formulation you have. Ubquinol is meant to be better as its easier absorbed than the other type Ubquinone. 100mg ubquinol is equivalent to 200- 300mg ubquionone. I take 200mg ubquinol. Its also recommended to take with a meal early in the day as can boost energy and keep u awake if taken later.

I ve been gluten and dairy free about 2-3 mns now (give or take the odd holiday glitches) as this was recommned but a fertility nutrionist at ZW for immune issues. Its bc these foods are thought to be proinflammatory. She also said limit pork or red meat to once per week and aim for high protein with each meal but just one per day from meat and the rest from veg protein/eggs.

Dr that bakery definitly sounds worth a visit ! Good luck with testing tomorrow. Really hope its a bfp.

Very cute puppy name Seeking.

Happy weekend to everyone else.

Drttc · 31/07/2015 20:36

Yes, and it's actually very easy to eat unhealthily when GF! I decided it was a good choice for me because, miscarriages aside, I've had an episode of alopecia one and chronic unexplained hives (both cases of my immune system attacking me) for 3 years. Although I likely don't have an intolerance, gluten is thought to be inflammatory and being GF may help with that! I really felt it was important for me to give it a go otherwise I wouldn't have felt like I've tried everything to calm my crazy immune system down.
