Fantastic news Sunny - so pleased for you. Hang on to the optimism and keep remembering what you saw and heard :)
Trying - thinking of you today / hope all goes well! For what it's worth I started asprin at BFP as don't have sticky blood issues. No idea if helped but knew it hadn't helped in previous pregnancies before was on Mr S programme.
Snoopy - hope you find a great accu person. As others have said, if you get a good one it can help you physically and mentally chill out as they become your rock to talk to too.
Hi everyone else x

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 10/06/2015 23:03

Great news sunny! I think the blood pressure could be a side effect of the pred maybe?

Good luck tomorrow seeking and trying

Seekingmiracles · 10/06/2015 21:40

Hi! Sorry so late checking in, took over 3 hours to get home - stupid m25! Only took 2 hours to get there!

Anyway all was ok, I thought I was 7+3, but was measuring 6+6 but said can easily be 3 days out. Also saw and heard heartbeat which was strong at 120 beats per minute! Was incredible and I still can believe it's happening to me! I'm trying not to get too excited as still a long way to go and things can happen but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic!

Had to have blood pressure taken as was slightly high but he has suggested getting a monitor for home so can take it regularly - anyone else had this?

Next scan on 27th june which will hopefully go quick as on hols from Saturday for a week!

Hope everyone is ok, will catch up tomorrow as tired from all the travelling and emotions!

Thanks guys. I'll have a word with my ivf consultant tmrw before he sticks a tube and needle up my private parts! I think he may suggest omitting it around implantatiom days (if I get that far!) I'm having clexane and asprin , so yes kitchen sink!

Sunny hope u have some happy news for us x

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 10/06/2015 14:12

Oooh trying so exciting! Still can't get my head around those tiny eggs. Technology is remarkable isn't it.

Ah the aspirin debate. They had this on the rmc thread about a week ago. A lot of them were also talking about this new research but I personally haven't seen it. I worried about this as well but then I figured I would just follow the plan to the letter and see what happens. I don't have any known clotting issues either but I've seen a lot of women get clexane without a diagnosis. I did wonder whether I should ask about clexane, just to throw the kitchen sink at it Smile

Apparently my line manager is going to call me on Friday, insert fed up face

Seekingmiracles · 10/06/2015 13:17

I've been on aspirin since March Trying. But I do have a thrombophilia....

Tryingno1 · 10/06/2015 08:17

Egg collection tmrw snoopy!

Quick question were all of u taking Asprin when u got ur bFp? There is new evidence it can cause early miscarriahe, and I know Coventry are anti prescribing it. Mr s dismissed it but it's in my ivf literature about the miscarriahes saying it's new evidence yet I'm on it!?! And I'm having a panic! I know hope stopped it...rosa/sunny/snoopy/drtcc? Thanks guys.

And if anyone knows where this study is, I would like to read it as I can't find it! Was hoping to not have to ask these sort of questions and go with my consultant Protcol blindly but can't help it.

Seekingmiracles · 10/06/2015 06:49

Morning lovelies!
Good luck today Trying! Hope it all goes smoothly!

Snoopy - men are so different to women. I don't think my DH could tell me a due date for any of our mcs. Yet I know them all and they play on my mind all the time. I think because none of it has physically happened to them they can move on so much quicker emotionally. My DH has got better at dealing with my grief as the mcs have gone on.
Isis go on the rmc thread but there was so many people, all in various stages of treatment and I found it too hard to keep up and also at times quite disheartening. The NHS really need to buck it's ideas up where rm is concerned. I'm glad I found you ladies, this group is so supportive and knowing we're all on the same path is really encouraging.
I hope you have a better day today snoopy! DrS is positive, so try to bring some of that positivity on board.

I also agree with Trying that acu is brilliant, I use my lady as a bit of a sound board too, she should probably charge me more for counselling too! Definitely worth a try if only to help you feel better.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 09/06/2015 23:11

Hmmm men Angry every so often there's an article about how scientists can manufacture sperm, when will they make it available!

On a good day the statistics cheer me up, as DH keeps reminding me I was so happy when Dr s said he was positive we would have a baby. On a bad day, like today, the bad voice tells me that only one present of women end up in our situation anyway. I just have to get through the bad days.

Do you ever look at the recurrent miscarriage thread? So many of the poor ladies on there are treated so badly by the nhs, makes me so angry.

Tryingno1 · 09/06/2015 22:51

I'm Sorry snoopy. Men deal with it in their own way ive found. Do u have parents or a friend in RL u can comfide in? U have us on here, I hope we can help. Rem the stats show with no tx Most women are sucessful. Ur young and have treatment for next time so hopefully u will be lucky soon. It's so hard to keep the faith though.

The collection is done under uss with a tiny probe and a heavy sedation or GA , im opting for v heavy sedation. Can't be bothered wondering if the GA might affect my chances of pregnancy! Seeing as I do obsess over everything!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 09/06/2015 22:34

Hope everything goes smoothly trying. Is the collection under general anaesthetic? I understand how they put the little embryos back but getting the eggs out has always baffled me. They're so tiny Confused

hula I'm in London too.

I think what upsets me the most is that DH doesn't even remember the date. I booked it off weeks ago because I anticipated it being an emotional day but he didn't bother so now I'll be on my own. He moves on so quickly, he asked me why I was crying today! I said I don't just grieve for an alloted period of time, sometimes it just hits me. Then when we were discussing the work scenario he said something like 'by then you will be on maternity leave'. I said 'well that's never going to happen is it' and he had a go at me for not being positive that we will have a baby. The truth is I'm not positive. The more I think about it the more it seems impossible.

Tryingno1 · 09/06/2015 19:46

Oh also re Acu snoopy. It's wonderful I feel so much better calmer and relaxed after it. My lady is wonderful and caring so I find it more therapeutic talking to her than the actual acu!!

Tryingno1 · 09/06/2015 19:45

Snoopy don't apol for being down. Like hula said this is what this thread is for. U have been through so much in the last 6 months give ursrlf time To Grieve and recover. It's really though. ESP with due dates. It's hard re ur carrer. I struggled with letting that go a bit, well not struggle but I realised I just couldn't give it 100 percent anymore. I feel so much better in myself for accepting I'm not superhuman, what I've been through is awful and it will obv have some implications work/relationships. As my counsellor said its just a temp drop in my bar. And if and when I'm ready to give it More I will. But for now TTC and ivf etc is more imp and work will have to take a back seat. I don't know if that makes sense to u? But I took me ages to work it out and feel comfortable with how I wanted to pursue that side of my life.

Sunny good luck for tmrw will be thinking of u.

Doing my trigger shot 930pm tonight! Then no injections. Collection at 930 on Thursday-luckily had booked off work thurs and off Friday so have plenty of time To recover. Then transfer on Tuesday all going well. So glad it's my usual consultant booked to do the collection I feel more comfortanle knowing its him. Hope he does a good job! xx

Hula2 · 09/06/2015 16:33

Snoopy don t apologise for being down. We re all here on this thread to support people thru the good and bad bits.

Due dates are really hard times, only my best friend remembered ours and my family didn t (they said becaused they didn t want to upset me but it was worse thinking nobody cared). I found it helpful to do something special.

Re acu, i def recommend it. I see one in london who has been great. Where are u based ?

Seekingmiracles · 09/06/2015 15:28

Oh my god! Rosa I am so appalled by the way you were spoken to, although not completely shocked!! We all know that the treatment we're having is not backed by the NHS by I'm am shocked that the Drs fail to see that so many people have success with it! It's not just a coincidence! And yes this may have been your time, without treatment but who would risk it with the histories we all have!
I'm half expecting the same response when I have my consultant appointment although I'm prepared for it and will make respond appropriately! A complaint letter is definitely in order!! What a complete twat! I bet she was one of those people who sneezed and got pregnant without a care in the world!

Snoopy, have you considered counselling? I know it's hard to admit you need it sometimes but I truly believe that it works wonders for some people. It's horrible being stuck in that void after a miscarriage. Everyone else's lives go on, yet your whole world has collapsed. Take comfort in the fact that you're feeling the same way we all have. Try to stay strong and believe that you will get there one day, trust in The treatment it's working for so many, it'll work for you too.
Glad you had a lovely time away Hula! Sounds like my idea of heaven... Pizza, pasta and ice cream! Yum!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 09/06/2015 15:25

Thanks hula. Sorry to be so down on such a positive thread.

I think I'm just getting more stressed because the first due date is coming up on Saturday and no one else remembers.

It's just Sod's law that a role that I've wanted for months comes out now, when I'm in the middle of all this.

Occupational health have said I shouldn't be in a front line role but the process of finding another role is so slow. In the meantime I'm stuck in limbo and looking forward to statutory sick pay.

I might feel better when we can start TTC again but I'm so scared.

I know a lot of you speak highly of acupuncture so I might look into that because it can't hurt

Hula2 · 09/06/2015 14:52

Snoopy i think your feelings are completely normal in this early post mc time esp with your work being so unsupportive. I seem to remember you ve had 3 mc in 6mns, thats an enormous amount of emotional trauma to deal with in such a short space of time, i d be a wreck and have probably long given up so don t beat yourself up, you re doing great just managing day to day.

Positives to remember is that you ve got pregnant quickly and you were nt properly on treatment for any of them so now you have a plan in place you re chances should be good. The beer book quotes 70-80% success in three cycles for women in your situation. Hopefully once you can start ttc it will be easier to be positive.

As for work this is a tiny amount of the overall amount of time you will work in your life so i d try not to focus on it. Are you in a position even to take a career break for 3-6mns ? Or request a less stressful position ? Your recovery is more important than anything. Hugs

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 09/06/2015 14:17

Afternoon all.

rosa I am outraged on your behalf. In my head I got very sweary reading about what that cow said to you, completely insensitive, completely unnecessary. I may be projecting my bitchy feelings about the nhs on to you, i just feel abandoned by them.

sunny and seeking good luck with your scans, try not to get too anxious although I know it's easier said than done.

hula I went to Italy a few years ago and ate my weight in pasta and ice cream, well done for not being a piggy like me haha

trying you must be getting really excited now. I'm hoping you get a lovely, voluminous lining!

I'm just feeling a bit hopeless to be honest. DH doesn't seem to understand how badly this has affected me. I feel like my life has stalled. Despite my best efforts I don't have a baby, and the miscarriages are now having a negative impact on what I could vaguely refer to as 'my career'. Sad

Tryingno1 · 09/06/2015 14:03

I agree rosa! Just rant on here Instead! After my second mc my work place were awful and broke my confidentaility etc. I was offered to take it up and complain but didn't feel like I could handle it back then! Sometimes it's better to choose ur battles. Right now all u care about is a healthy baby, so let her have her opinions and u have urs!

Rosa27 · 09/06/2015 13:44

Haha you got my name wrong too- we're even now Trying;)
I'm totally wound up too. Want to write complaints but won't be helpful to me or my baby right now. I will deal with all this crap at some point though... It's just not right.
In terns of GF.. I do when I can but wasn't 100% either. I think it helped though as meant to help you absorb other good stuff better too. I'm so scientific !! X

Tryingno1 · 09/06/2015 13:29

Ross don't feel bad or waste another moment on this annoying lady who clearly doesn't understand the emotions of what we go through and isn't open minded enough to understand that doctors don't know it all. All that matters is u have a healthy happy baby. She has really wound me up! I actually got told not to go to Mr s when I was at a Rmc appt too. I still went!!!
